Chapter 3 - Chp 03

For a time traveler or space-time traveler to be exact, who is prepared to study hard, work hard on scientific research, and devote his life to the capitalist modernization drive.

For a space-time traveler who is ready to devote himself to scientific research and has carefully planned for more than ten years.

For a space-time traveler who had read hundreds of core journals before the age of eleven and was fully prepared to become a scientist.

 …

What is the cruelest thing for him?

Without a doubt, that is to tell him that the world he lives in is not scientific, but magical!

Life is hopeless? All hope is lost? All worldviews are shattered? ... It is difficult to express Jon Hart's feelings at this moment.

With trembling hands, he opened the final letter.

"Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Confederation of Magic, President of the Wizarding Association, First-Class Magician of the Order of Merlin).

...

...

 Dear Mr. Hart,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Enclosed is a list of required books and equipment. Term is scheduled to begin on September 1. We will be waiting for your owl to bring you your reply by July 31.

 Deputy Headmistress Ms. Minerva McGonagall

 Sincerely,

The familiar content in the letter cannot be wrong!

It's only 1992, and it's still five years before JK Rowling wrote the original Harry Potter book... so the few steps can't be a prank.

So there is only one possibility left, that is, the world he has lived in for more than ten years is actually the world in Harry Fking Potter.

He felt that the atmosphere suddenly became gloomy.

"What's wrong, honey?" Judy quickly noticed the strangeness in her son's expression.

"Nothing...nothing..." Jon stammered, and then handed over the letter in his hand: "It's just that there is a letter from a school!"

Eric and Judy took the letter from Jon in confusion.

 Five minutes later.

"I think this must be a prank!" Mr. Hart said seriously.

"Yes, what is said in this letter is too bizarre. A magic school? How is it possible!" Mrs. Hart screamed as well.

Jon smiled bitterly. According to his memories from his previous life, Hogwarts should send a teacher to explain the existence of the magical world to his parents soon...

"I think we should call the police. This is such a stupid prank!" Eric kept on talking.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

"Are there guests coming?" Judy quickly adjusted her apron, walked out and opened the gate.

A strange woman with a serious expression was standing outside the door. She wore a pair of square glasses that looked exactly like the lines around a cat's eyes. She was wearing an emerald green cloak and her black hair was tied into a tight bun.

"Excuse me, are you Mr. Jon Hart's guardian?" The other party spoke in a stern tone.

"Hello, I'm his mother. Who are you?" Judy asked softly.

"Minerva McGonagall!" the woman outside the door replied, "I am a professor."

Jon raised his head and glanced at the serious middle-aged woman with an awkward expression on his face... He suddenly remembered the "wild cat" he kicked away by the mailbox ten minutes ago.

"Oh, welcome, welcome!" Judy's face immediately lit up with joy. She invited Professor McGonagall into her home and asked, "Excuse me, are you from Eton College?"

"What?" Professor McGonagall couldn't help but frowned and shook her head, "I work for Hogwarts!"

"Hogwarts?" Judy was stunned when she heard this somewhat unfamiliar word.

"Wait!" Eric said hurriedly, glancing at the letter in his hand: "You mean... Professor McGonagall... Hogwarts... Isn't this a prank?"

Because of surprise, his tone became a little stuttering.

"Of course!" Professor McGonagall said with some disdain: "Hogwarts is a school specially opened for people with magical talents. It is a magic school with a long history of more than a 1500 years."

"So what you mean is...what's written in the letter is true?" Judy's face turned pale.

"As ordinary people, it is understandable that you don't know magic, but..."

 "Ah..." Judy screamed.

Professor McGonagall, who had just been standing at the door, suddenly disappeared, and a tabby cat appeared where she had just been.

"What... is going on?" Eric stammered. He had never spoken so incoherently in his life.

 "But magic does exist."

The tabby cat walked into the room gracefully, glared at Jon fiercely, then sat on the sofa and transformed back into Professor McGonagall.

She turned her gaze to Jon, speaking slowly, "Mr. Hart, unlike your parents, you are not an ordinary person, but a natural born wizard. Becoming a member of Hogwarts can help you truly master your talent."

Looking at Jon standing there with a dazed expression, Professor McGonagall thought that the child was frightened by her words. In fact, this situation often occurred when she visited young Muggle-born wizards for the first time.

"Perhaps you still have some doubts about what I said, Mr. Hart!" Professor McGonagall continued, "Do you have any talents that are different from others? Have you ever had any strange things happen when you are afraid or angry?"

Extraordinary talent... outstanding memory? Could it be that I am the legendary Memory Magus?

When his emotions got out of control, strange things happened... In fact, after the time travel, his mental age was close to 40 years old, and he would no longer make a fuss like an ordinary child, so Jon almost never lost control of his emotions, and naturally his magic would not get out of control.

So? He was really a wizard? A so-called "Mudblood" born into a "Muggle" family?

Looking at Jon whose dazed expression was gradually recovering, Professor McGonagall stood up.

"Mr. Hart, now is the question you and your parents need to decide. Do you want to come to Hogwarts and become a real wizard?"

"The list of books and school supplies needed to study at Hogwarts is written in the previous letter; you can go to Diagon Alley in London and buy them all."

"By the way, the address of Diagon Alley..."

Professor McGonagall pulled out a small stick-like object from her cloak and waved it gently. A line of words appeared on the wall of Jon's house:

"117 Charing Cross Road, Westminster, London."

 "So goodbye, Hart family!"

After saying this, she walked out of the room and disappeared.

Wait a minute, Judy tried to chase after her, but when she reached the door, she found that she could not find any trace of her.

Obviously, not everyone can enjoy the same treatment as the Savior, where the teacher takes him to Diagon Alley to buy things.

"Is this a dream?" Judy murmured as she returned to the room.

"Mom, I don't think so!" Jon smiled helplessly and said, "It's impossible that the three of us had the same dream!"
