He missed her terribly, but he wouldn't go to her while she was studying.
The detective couldn't give him many details, apart from the fact that she was studying and working with her brother.
Bonnie got out of the water and picked up her cell phone to order lunch for them. Adam then realized that he was starving, and the children must have been too.
Everyone got out of the pool and changed. Adam took the children to the kitchen, where Bonnie cooked some eggs and chopped fruit for them. The lunch she had ordered arrived before she had finished preparing the children's food, but Adam waited for her. The children were exhausted from the swimming pool and fell asleep on the fluffy rug in the living room. Adam and Bonnie decided to stay there, watching La Casa de Papel and commenting quietly about their characters so as not to wake the children.
In the late afternoon, the children woke up, and Bonnie prepared milk in a bottle for the smallest boy and a sandwich for the biggest boy. While they were still eating, the children's parents arrived.
Adam thought he would be relieved, but as soon as they said goodbye and left, he was already missing the children. He took a deep breath and turned to Bonnie.
"Have you thought of an answer?"
"Yes."
"And what was your decision?"
"I'm going to stay here for a while."
"Do you know that my promise not to take you to my bed ends now?"
"I'll share the bed with you, Adam. It won't be a sacrifice."
He stared at her longingly. He felt her arousal growing, so he took her by the hand and led her to the guest room, sleeping there with her every night. He didn't want her to lie in Anna's bed, because he considered that room sacred and didn't want to desecrate her memories.
And that night, Adam discovered that he was cured. He could feel pleasure with Bonnie. However, he wanted to try being with other women, to see if he could feel pleasure with them too. And so he did.
Bonnie stared at him in fury every time he went out with another woman, and often went back to her sister's house, but she became very attached to him, and could no longer sleep unless she was in his arms. So she always came back without him having to pick her up.
...
Time went by, and all the werewolves got used to Bonnie's presence. However, Jenna managed to escape. She took advantage of the distraction caused by Bonnie and her position of trust and left. Adam knew where she was. She was a werewolf, and he could see through her eyes. But his hatred for Jenna gained strength when she managed to hide from his eyes. And only a witch could help her do that. A witch who knows his secret.
Meanwhile, Bonnie was earning the respect of Adam's men.
The day she won their admiration, too, was when the police raid alarm sounded at the entrance to the farm, and she, armed with a gun and unaware that the werewolves couldn't be harmed, helped to scare them off with well-aimed shots to the legs and arms. She said she didn't want to hit vital organs, because she needed them alive.
She captured and tortured them.
Adam discovered, on the night of the police raid, that they had come because of a theft complaint. He didn't understand how the police could believe that he would steal anything, but he imposed a law, and ordered his men to spread it all over Nevada. Stealing was forbidden and anyone who insisted would suffer at the hands of his new torturer.
His Werewolves searched house after house on the outskirts of the mansion and didn't find the objects that the police claimed had been stolen.
Adam entered the police station alone and drew his gun. He was riddled with gunfire, but didn't move a muscle. And when he realized that the policemen were running away in fear, he broke each of their necks, using his superior strength and speed.
People suspected that he had had the policemen killed, but they didn't dare admit it out loud. They suspected that Adam was the devil himself and legends arose about him.
With no police, people began to turn to the werewolves to complain about their misfortunes and injustices. The werewolves didn't know how to punish the child, so he was taken to the room in the mansion where Adam handed down his sentences. Bonnie always made a point of being with the Alpha on these occasions.
Adam stared at the too-young boy with no sense of pity.
"Why did you steal, boy?"
"I wanted those things. I didn't have a TV at home, and my cell phone was already broken... The clothes and jewelry, and it was to enjoy the trip." The boy replied arrogantly.
"And who helped you?"
The boy remained silent and thoughtful.
"Nobody helped him." Alexandre said, bringing out the gun the boy had used to commit the crime.
"Do you know my law? Do you know the consequences for breaking them?"
"Yes."
"Then why did you ignore it? Did you want to die?"
"Actually, I don't care." The boy said insolently.
"That's good for you... Having no attachment to life will make you go to hell without a murmur, and without asking for mercy." Adam said and turned to Caricature. "Send some werewolf up the hill and dig your own grave."
Caricature was already leaving when Bonnie intervened.
"Wait..." She said and stared at Adam.
He was inclined not to let her interfere, but because she had helped fight the police, risking her own life, he let her, for what he thought was the only time. So he nodded yes, and Caricature stood waiting.
Bonnie approached the boy and looked him in the eye.
"You could be useful..." She said after observing him carefully.
"Are you left-handed or right-handed?" She asked, stepping back a little.
"I don't know what that means." The boy replied confusedly.
"Which hand do you write with?" She rephrased the question.
