"Kenjiro-kun, time to get up. The class sorting is about to begin."
The next morning, Kenjiro woke up once again to Hinata's gentle voice calling him.
At some point, the once-disciplined Kenjiro had fallen into the habit of sleeping in, relying every day on this little princess's wake-up call.
Hinata, already used to rising early, always brought breakfast over to wake him, and both of them enjoyed this little routine.
"I can't move... You guys drained all my chakra yesterday."
Kenjiro didn't get up right away. Instead, he reached out his arms toward Hinata, playfully whining, "Hinata, pull me up."
"Don't lie. The amount of chakra we drained isn't even close to how fast you recover," Hinata replied with a soft pout, but still reached out to grab his hand.
But as soon as her small hand touched his, Kenjiro twisted her wrist and pulled hard.
Hinata fell right on top of him.
Thanks to her well-trained body for her age, the impact was completely absorbed, and she landed softly on Kenjiro without any harm.
"Ah...!"
Even though she wasn't hurt, the surprise made Hinata let out a little yelp.
Feeling her pressing down on him, Kenjiro quickly flipped their positions and pinned her underneath him, propping himself up on both arms, staring down at the now steaming girl below.
"K-Kenjiro-kun..."
Over the past few years, Hinata had built up quite the resistance to this kind of teasing. But right now, it was like all her defenses were gone—she couldn't even meet his eyes.
Seeing this rare display of bashfulness from her, Kenjiro felt a strong urge stirring inside.
But considering her age, and the fact their relationship hadn't truly crossed the line yet, he held himself back.

Still, with her looking that adorably flustered, he couldn't help but lean in and peck her forehead hard before she could react—then jumped out of bed in a flash.
Hinata's face turned bright red, steam practically pouring out of her head, her eyes swirling like a hypnotized cartoon character. It took her a while to recover.
By the time Kenjiro came out of the private bathroom, she was no longer in the room.
He didn't leave immediately either. Instead, he opened the wardrobe and pulled out the combat outfit he had custom-made earlier that year but hadn't worn yet.
It was a white robe, modeled after Ōtsutsuki Indra's style.
The only difference: Kenjiro didn't have the wide collar or the black tomoe patterns around the neckline.
After putting on the white robe and tightening the black belt around his waist, Kenjiro took out an item he had bought the day before.
Two white armbands—with storage functions.
He loaded them with shuriken and kunai, wearing one on each wrist.
The sleeves of the robe were long and loose enough that unless the enemy had x-ray vision, they wouldn't be able to see what he was doing with his hands inside them.
Once fully geared up, Kenjiro stepped out of the room.
Hinata, who had already opened the bento box and was sitting at the table like usual, immediately brightened up when she saw him. Her heart, which had just calmed down, started racing again.
It couldn't be helped—Kenjiro was dangerously handsome right now.
Black hair, blue eyes, sharp features, tall and well-built. Now dressed in that white, high-class robe, he radiated a noble aura.
Anyone looking at him would've thought he was some elite young master from a prestigious clan—not an orphan raised without parents or manners.
For a moment, Hinata regretted coming out in just a plain white windbreaker and pants.
She should've had a custom-made kimono too, like her sister.
That way, she and Kenjiro would look even more like a perfect match.
With that thought, Hinata made a mental note to ask her sister for help when she got home.
Of course, Kenjiro had no idea what she was thinking.
After breakfast, the two left the house and headed toward the ninja academy.
"Yo! Kenjiro, Hinata, good morning!"
"Still stuck together like glue, huh? Hope you guys end up in the same squad too!"
On the way, they ran into a few classmates headed to school as well.
Naturally, the two—who were always joined at the hip—became the target of playful teasing.
Kenjiro just smiled without saying anything, while Hinata lowered her head in embarrassment, thinking back to the flirty moment they just had.
By the time they arrived at the classroom, most of the students were already there.
Originally, only Naruto Uzumaki hadn't graduated. But after passing the graduation exam, every student in Class 1 of Grade 6 had officially become genin.
Of course, how many of them would actually get picked by a jōnin sensei for a team was another matter.
Since they were now graduates, the students weren't sitting in their usual seats. Instead, they were grouped with their closest friends, chatting casually.
Kenjiro and Hinata also picked a random spot to sit together.
Before they could even whisper to each other, a figure walked over and took a seat beside Kenjiro—drawing everyone's attention.
Kenjiro glanced at him and greeted him with a smile. "Morning, Sasuke."
"Morning." Uchiha Sasuke replied with a nod, then added with a touch of anticipation. "Hope we end up on the same team."
Aside from Naruto, who occasionally sparked something in him, Sasuke only really acknowledged Kenjiro and Hinata in their entire grade.
If he could be on the same team as them, he'd have constant strong opponents to challenge—and get stronger himself.
Kenjiro chuckled and shook his head. "I'd love that too, but you know they won't put the top three students on the same team. Otherwise, the other squads wouldn't even need to show up for the Chūnin Exams."
"True." Sasuke muttered, disappointed but understanding.
As he rested his chin on his hands, waiting for the sorting to begin—
A crouching figure suddenly popped up right in front of him.
Looking at the blond hair, the fox-like face, and those blue eyes (which were squinted shut), Sasuke felt a weird irritation building inside him. His expression turned sour.
Watching this unfold, Kenjiro couldn't help but grin. Like he remembered something hilarious.
As expected…
"Naruto, that guy really has no sense of manners."
"Seriously, Sasuke-kun, take him down!"
From a distance, a group of girls whispered angrily, wishing they could rush over and flatten Naruto themselves.
But with Kenjiro and Hinata nearby, none of them dared approach.
Right then, the boy sitting in front of Sasuke got a little too animated in his conversation and suddenly elbowed backward—without noticing Naruto squatting on the desk behind him.
The elbow bumped Naruto's rear, knocking him forward.
As their faces got closer and closer, both Naruto and Sasuke's eyes widened in horror.
Mwu~~ah!
Before anyone could react, Naruto and Sasuke accidentally kissed.
The girls around them froze like stone statues, jaws practically hitting the floor.
Kenjiro nearly whistled in amusement and really regretted not bringing a camera.
Hinata clutched her cheeks in both hands, blushing fiercely as she stared at the pair.
The whole scene was just… too much.
"Urgh…!"
A few seconds later, both Naruto and Sasuke scrambled away from each other, coughing and gagging like they'd just swallowed something foul.
Sasuke, red with rage and disgust, growled, "You dead last... I'm gonna kill you!"
But he didn't need to lift a finger.
A huge shadow loomed over them.
Led by Sakura Haruno, the fangirl brigade—furious that their idol's first kiss had been stolen—rushed over, completely ignoring Kenjiro and Hinata's presence.
They shoved aside the clueless boy who caused the whole thing, dragged Naruto off the desk, and proceeded to beat him senseless at the front of the classroom.
"Aaah! Have mercy!"
Amid the dust and chaos, Naruto's screams and cries for help echoed throughout the room.
