Chapter 3 - the deal - chapter 3

Thomas sits on a chair, chewing something, In Front of him a dining table with a variety of dishes.

This time he was in the middle of a beach, under a coconut tree. He was enjoying the food while listening to the satisfying sound of the sea and the chirping of birds.

Voice enters Thomas's head as he is continued eating pasta.

"Hmm" Thomas replied, his mouth filled with food. "But what's the genre, tell me some basic things first"

"Hmm, that's cool, a bit more about story, main plot and stuff"

"DON'T give me spoilers, alright?" Interfering Outer's talk Thomas demanded, then murmured. "I hate spoilers"

Outer stayed silently for a while, until Thomas lifted his head.

"Mmm, that's pretty generic to be honest, bet it is filled with cliches, is it your first time writing a story?"

Writer remained silent, with a straight face for a second, then said, "Well it's still better than…. my first story is still better than your last kick."

Thomas gritted his teeth, looking at the table, gripping the fork tightly, before throwing it on the table, and about to stand up when his left ear twitched and he sat back on the chair.

"But I'm retired though," Thomas said, picking up the fork.

"That's what I asked," Thomas lifted his head, looking at the tree with an innocent.

"You are supposed to say something, remember?"

"Remember!" he widened his eyes, as he silently looked at the coconut.

"Nah it's fine," he said, waving his hand with a smile, "I don't feel bad about anything anymore,"

Outer remained silent.

"By the way, I wanna ask something," Thomas said, rubbing the back of his head, "Why did you give that guy too much chicken to eat?"

Outer looks down pressing lips against each other, then he replied. "I… never had them before, ever, I had chicken curry and that's all I had,"

Thomas's eyes widened, lips parted. "That's…" looking down, Thomas replied gently, "I'm sorry to hear that" Thomas slowly raises his head, with clenched fist, and overflowing determination in his eyes, "I will…" he pointed at himself, "for you," then at the coconut, "I will eat chicken."

"You… you will do that for me?" Outers asks as his lips slightly curled down.

"Yes," he nodded, "for you my friend, just don't add a living chicken" Thomas said with a weird smile. Outers filled the table with chicken maded dishes. Thomas picks a whole chicken with his two hand

"It isn't?" he asked, lifting his head.

"It will"

Thomas moved his head closer to the chicken, as he got closer, his pace seemed to be coming down.

As he looked at the dish carefully, he imagined its head, then an old memory struck his head and he put it back on the plate, put his hands on his leg, and sat still.

They both sat on their chairs silently, the silence stretched, until the voice came,

"I don't hate chicken," The outer made all the chicken disappear, as Ray said slowly with wide eyes, "I fear chicken,".

"That would be a long story, you can add that in later chapters," he said and resumed eating the pasta.

They stayed silent again, until the writer spoke.

Thomas sighed, shaking his head and said, "the kids,"

"It was a very long time ago, when I was 2 years old, I was just a 3 foot kid back then, I saw a chicken running out of poultry, back then I used to thought that chickens are our pet and they bear chicken dishes, I tried to hug and return it back to the poultry, it was silent, then I gently whispered in it ear - "please give us tasty tasty leg pieces" then he crook once, then crooked even louder, and then started attacking me, I tried to push him out, but its beak was stick to me, after some time came some adult to rescue me," he stayed silent for a while, then continued, "then I didn't ate chicken for a long while, until I did, when my parents said it's alright, and dreamt of a whole clan of chicken attacking me, then I vomited everything in pit, and had been watering it ever since,"

They both stayed silent, until Thomas said. "They are scary,"

Thomas stayed silent, looking at the table, the silence remained until the outer said.

"Deal" Thomas replied before nodding once. [Click] A sound reaches Thomas's ear, then a blue screen appears In Front of him. "Why do you have to talk with this cliche system stuff?" Thomas asks, narrowing his eyebrows.

"First of all, systems are cool, leveling up and all that stuff, second of all…. I didn't do anything, what are you talking about?, I can't even see anything like that in my imagination"

"No, systems are completely overused." Thomas continued, looking at the sea, "If you like gaming, just go play games; why would you insert games inside a story, and, why are you lying to me? We even made a deal didn't we"

"First of all, even though systems are overused, they are still cool. Second of all, isn't it obvious that I wouldn't do that? Not even I know what is happening here, didn't I already tell you?" Outer said, leaning on his chair.

"I don't know what you are talking about, system sucks, plot armour and golden fingers also sucks, and last but not least, isekai sucks too"

"....You are in one though….," writer said, with straight face, "and you wants to have fun too"

"That's because, well, that's—" Thomas was saying, looking at side, before the author intervened with a composed voice.

"Alright, whatever, just read what is written on that screen."

Thomas turned towards the screen.

[The deal has been made.

Two of you will have to follow certain rules.

1 - The author can't undo things that had happened in the world, the world will only go forward like in real world, after the mc being born that is, and you can't force a character to do something that contradict their personality- like - all of a sudden a villainess starts blushing for him.

2- mc can do whatever he wants, but also have to deal with it,]

"That's what it says." Thomas said, trying to touch the system, but his hand, crossed past it, "The first rule, isn't it common sense?" Thomas said, expecting some response from Outer, but he stayed quiet. "Dude?" Thomas said with narrowed eyebrows.

"Well it's a good thing for me in a way, but I have one doubt," he took his hand to his chin, "would anyone even read your story?"

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing…."

"Wait," his eye slightly widened, "that weird guy,"

"Yes, but I won't give him chickens to eat, don't worry"

"Nah dude, it's fine, you can–"

"No, male god is fine" Ray said looking forward.

"Alright," the surroundings of Thomas Changed quite a lot and he found himself back at the room he first teleported to, but with no table, and in front of him, sat a character.

"Wellcome human"
