Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 – The Villainess’s Curiosity

It had been three days since Elias made his unexpected delivery to Selena Yue—Lady Nyx, and for some reason, she couldn't stop thinking about it.

It wasn't because of the flowers. Nor the ridiculous way he had walked into her office as if she were just another customer. No, it was him. His unshakable kindness. His lack of fear. His oblivious innocence.

She hated distractions. And yet, here she was, twirling the dried petals of the sunflower he had given her, deep in thought.

"Boss?"

Selena's second-in-command, Jax, stood by her desk, looking a little too amused.

"You've been staring at that flower for fifteen minutes," he said, arms crossed. "Something I should know?"

Selena narrowed her eyes. "Shut up."

Jax smirked but wisely said nothing.

Why was she even thinking about this? It was just a flower. Just an innocent, foolish florist. He had no place in her world.

And yet… she had already ordered another delivery.

Elias happily arranged a fresh bouquet of white lilies and soft peach roses for Selena. This time, he added a handwritten note:

"A peaceful heart grows the most beautiful flowers''

When he arrived at the skyscraper, the guards recognized him immediately. This time, they let him in without hesitation.

He walked into Selena's office with his usual bright smile.

"Hello again! I brought you something new this time—lilies are great for relaxation!"

Selena glanced at the flowers, then at him. "You… actually came back."

Elias blinked. "Of course! You ordered more, didn't you?"

Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out. Why did she even make that order?

Instead of answering, she took the bouquet, running her fingers over the soft petals. It smelled fresh, warm. Just like him.

Jax, standing in the corner, watched with great interest.

Selena cleared her throat, regaining her composure. "You always talk like this to customers?"

Elias laughed. "Only the ones who look like they need a little sunshine in their lives."

Silence.

Jax covered his mouth, trying not to laugh. This florist had no idea who he was messing with.

Selena, on the other hand, was stunned. No one had ever spoken to her like that.

And the worst part?

She didn't hate it.

That night, Selena sat in her private lounge, sipping wine and watching the city lights.

Elias intrigued her. No one entered her world and walked away unscathed.

Maybe it was time to test him.

She smirked, pulling out her phone.

"Meet me tomorrow. Midnight. Address below."

She didn't expect him to say yes.

But he did.
