(FULL BOOK AVAILABLE IN AMAZON)The next day, Roslin searched everywhere for Loviyan, hoping to find him waiting for her after class. When the class is done, she looked around but couldn't see him. Dark clouds loomed overhead, and she wondered if it might rain again. A sudden thought struck her—he might be waiting under the willow tree. With renewed hope, she headed there.
As she approached, she spotted him sitting and reading a book. She paused, folding her arms and biting her index finger to stifle a giggle. When he lifted his head, he closed his book and dashed toward her, shaking his hair like a golden mane.
"I want to run my fingers through his golden locks."
"How did you know I'd be here?" he asked, a playful grin on his face.
"Who said I came here for you?" she teased back.
"Then why are you here?"
"I came to read." She paused, and he giggled.
"Actually, I came to see if I left my chain here the other day."
"Then why didn't you come yesterday?"
"Because of the rain—oh wait, no, because of you!"
"Who said I made the rain?"
"You did, right in front of me." she was confused.
"Well, I paused it for a moment and then resumed it."
"Wait until I get to Nelblinxton and learn first-class magic!"
"Okay," he chuckled. "I'm scared, oh my!" he whispered playfully.
"Did he really make the rain or not?" she wondered.
"I'm going to Nelblinxton next full moon."
"Oh, do you know anyone there?"
"I once lived there."
"No wonder! How long?"
"Last winter, I was there. Last spring, I moved here."
"The next full moon is in…"
"15 moons."
"You're fast!"
"Faster than a curse," his pride smile tells it all.
Roslin felt herself blush, momentarily forgetting who she was talking to.
"I once came by your house," he said casually.
"Really?" she replied, trying to hide her surprise.
"Your dad's name is Ferlin."
"My dad!"
"I know."
"How?"
"Well, he looked old."
"You can call him uncle."
"God, you must be one of those tiny fairies who won't stop asking questions when they meet someone walking by them."
She giggled. "Right? I'm so annoyed by those fairies. Just when I walk past them, they ask me where, why, and what I am."
"You remind me of one of those," he said playfully. "So, you read a lot?"
"I don't read that much." they kept walking somewhere.
"Really? I see you with a new book every day."
"Ah, that's because…" She paused, noticing he was waiting for her to continue but she doesn't have an answer, the real answer would be that she doesn't want to get caught by blushing over a romantic tale. "Nothing." she nods.
"You were about to say something. Why did you stop?"
"Really?"
"Uh?"
"I mean, you can read minds, right?"
"Uh-" he smiled.
"So, I don't have to tell you."
"You like my hair?"
Roslin turned away, covering her face in embarrassment, then turned back to him. "I have a hen—it's white and has hair like yours, so that's why I was looking at you." she muttered holding back not to blush.
"I have a fish."
"You compare me to a fish?"
"No, I mean it gave birth, and I must feed them. What should I feed them?"
"Oh."
"You compared me to a hen, and I shouldn't compare you to a fish—wow, woman."
"Haha, I'll ask my dad."
"I'll go buy food; will you come with me?"
"Sure."
"So, what kind of sorceress are you?" their hand touched.
"I know how to make brews." she said nervously.
"Why do girls even do that? I don't get it—it seems like a waste."
"It's fun! Someday I'll write my own book."
"How to you turn dragons into chickens?"
She laughed. "No!"
"Or maybe it can be a fairy?"
"Okay, let's get food."
"Let's go to work after that."
They ate together, and Roslin asked if he knew anything about the bracelet she lost.
"Oh my god, woman, ask one of those ladies!"
"I'll get it tomorrow; today I don't feel like searching." she just doesn't want to leave him. "So where do you live?" she turned to him.
"My parents live in a secret town, and I live here with my cousin."
"Secret town?"
"I can't trust a witch with all my details."
"Oh my, oh my!" She felt both insulted and hurt.
"What may I do?"
"I read you; you're not that good."
"Hey!" she cried.
"So, have you ever had a boyfriend?"
"No, I'm waiting for a perfect life broommate."
"Oh, broommate!"
"You have a girlfriend; don't talk about her if she's in a secret town."
He smiled and continued wrapping the items.
"Okay," she said, tried not to put a jealousy face on.
"I never had one—maybe 20 winters ago."
"You look like you're 19."
"Maybe in my past life I did."
"Then I have one too!" Both muttered and mocked to each other, and then he asked, "So what are you doing after this?"
"Nothing, you?"
"Nothing."
"Teach me something interesting and easy, by the way."
"I have a few books if you want to learn, come to my place."
"No."
"It's okay. It's your Professor Vladimir's house."
"What?"
"He is my uncle."
"Oh."
"If you want, I'll teach you how to break a curse someday."
"Really?"
"Yes, you should learn Allextries, which lets you know how to undo a curse."
"I know that! I know everything about magic, but I act like I don't know anything."
"Oh."
"My dad teaches me magic every day as soon as my brother goes to sleep."
"Oh."
"I'm really capable of many things."
"Then you should teach me some," he flirted.
She giggled and placed the boxes in order.
"Let's go eat."
She felt a jolt of excitement every time she caught him looking at her while walking to the food court.
He ordered her meal, and she looked suspicious.
"I guessed from last time you ordered." he said with a grin.
"I got it."
Then, he asked if she wanted to come to Nelblinxton with him. She agreed and decided to tell her dad she was going to a friend's house.
Both flew on his broomstick, and Roslin hugged him tightly, asking him to go slow. He obliged, and as the moonlight illuminated them, they felt so happy together.
"I've never sat behind someone on a broom; thanks for this trip!" she exclaimed.
"I never took anyone too, this is fun"
"You said you'd go on the full moon."
"Yeah, but today is fun, right?"
"Yep."
"Here we come!"
"Oh, my goodness, it's a huge yard!" she exclaimed as they approached.
"This used to be my house."
"Oh my god, this is a huge house! It's so big. I've always wanted to live in a house like this!"
"I took this huge bag; can you carry it the whole time we go home?"
"Okay!"
"I'll show you your room."
"When are we leaving?"
"Tomorrow, same time."
"Okay!"(FULL BOOK AVAILABLE IN AMAZON)
