Chapter 7 - Finally! Sacred Six Eyes!

Chapter 7

"Why are you laughing all by yourself like an idiot?" Klaudine asked him as she saw him laugh.

Leonidas was so caught up in the moment of the notification he just received, so he totally forgot about her and that he wasn't alone.

'Oh, shit... I totally forgot I was still with her.' he managed to remind himself.

Still waiting for the response, Klaudine stopped attacking and decided to catch herself some breather.

"So, are you going to tell me or not?" She grew impatient.

"Tell you what?" Leonidas really wasn't in his right mind.

"Argh! Tell me why are you laughing." She was getting frustrated.

He chuckled awkwardly, "Oh, you mean that. Well let's just say I managed to draw first blood."

Knowing that would get her off his back, he decided to play along and wave his sword around and pretended like he was still ready to par take in their sparring match.

"Is that so?" Klaudine was too smart to catch up, as she saw her blood as he was busy waving his sword around.

It's been hours since they started fighting and their match wasn't as quiet and low as they assumed, it had sent strong waves across the whole house.

Like how Klaudine would actually shake the house when she was really deep into training, this was like that; but the difference is that this one if it wasn't stopped in time.

It was definitely going to destroy the whole castle by causing it to crumble.

The maids, the servants were having a hard time finding balance in all this ruckus, those who were going to serve some tea to the second matriach; were spilling it all the way.

Knock! Knock!

The maid knocked before she was allowed to enter.

The second matriach wasn't someone who you would often mess with, her aura and her demeanor was overwhelming as it; now imagine being a mere maid.

Telling her that her tea has spilt, imagine her reaction.

She allowed the maid to come in.

"State your business." She said in a calm but cold tone.

The maid was so afraid, she didn't know to deliver the news to her so she bowed down; facing the floor.

"Please forgive me my queen, the tea you requested has been spilt. Thanks to this ruckus that we have no idea comes from."

The second matriach was standing by the window looking at a far distance, her beauty was something; she had red long hair, her eyes were hazel and her body was quite fit for a woman.

She was in a long black dress, covering herself with a veil with her hands behind her back wearing black gloves.

She looked at the maid who was still facing down trembling with the tray in her hands.

"That ruckus you are blaming for your own impudence for spilling my tea, is my beautiful daughter's training. But I have to say today she's really giving her best."

She said with satisfaction and happiness, that she didn't show cause she had taught herself not to show any emotions to anyone; as it's a sign of weakness.

The second matriach, didn't really say anything after that she just walked out of her own room and left the maid still bowing and walked away from her slowly.

No one knew where she was going, because she didn't say she just left and this was what she liked to do.

In most times, she'd just leave without even telling her own husband; not that he cared any way, because he knew and trusted that she would take care of herself.

Meanwhile Leonidas and Klaudine were having so much fun playing with each other, they totally forgot that they were supposed to be in their own rooms at a certain time.

Klaudine by this time she was either supposed to be asleep or her mother would come and evaluate her growth.

Leonidas on the other hand was supposed to be preparing for the test that his own mother was going to give him tomorrow.

Sparks of fire were everywhere whenever the two swords crossed, for someone who didn't know anything about fighting he had grown to be quite a formidable opponent for a beginner.

Klaudine who was having the best time of her life, forgot about everything that she was taught by her own mother and father; she wasn't supposed to show any emotions.

She wasn't even allowed to have them, so there she was smiling and laughing; being a normal kid for once.

And that did make Leonidas happy, even though she wasn't Klaus it didn't mean she didn't experience the same cruelty and certain treated that he got in the novel.

At the end of the day they were still the same person it just happened that, a minor detail had been changed in the plot; by Leonidas's existence.

Hopefully that wasn't such a bad thing.

'woah, she has really grown from when we started a few hours ago, very impressed.' he had a thought to himself as he dodged and blocked every move she threw at him.

'what is this feeling, huh? I wanna stop fighting him but at the same time I don't. What is happening to me?' Klaudine questioned herself but could not give herself the answers that she needed.

One thing about Klaudine is that she had learnt to change her tactic and strategy when going for an attack first, she wasn't using the same move anymore; instead of leaping in a fast pace.

Now, she was just going and being sync with the person she's fighting with.

Her room since it was the one they were using, was now beyond recognition; cut and slashed pieces of furniture from curtains, blinds to mirrors, portraits and bed sheets.

All of them were torn and shredded apart.

They were also sweating, they have been going at it since morning and now it was afternoon approaching nighttime; their bodies were burning and each muscle in their body was screaming in pain.

They knew that they had enough for one day and Leonidas had already done what he came here for, but they just kept going against everything.

It must have been pride of kids and siblings who didn't want to submit and surrender to the other one.

Their swords were now fractured and shields were carved with marks.

Against everything Leonidas was a very smart and intelligent kid, despite his lack of talent; fighting his sister and learning her every move he knew and trusted that soon enough if he wasn't too careful he might actually defeat her.

And who knew what would that do to the heiress of tomorrow, and what shift or change will the plot have; so he had to be careful.

He was getting carried away, with each blow he gave to Klaudine who was now the one struggling to keep up.

'No, what am I doing? I'm over exceeding myself. Okay I see that if I don't finish this, this might go till tomorrow, so let me finish this.' he talked himself out.

So, Leonidas acted like he had a stiff hand and got a cramp and that allowed Klaudine to hit his sword away from him.

"Hah! I win!" Klaudine couldn't hide her happiness, involuntary she jumped up and down.

Leonidas was just watching with excitement in his heart.

"You don't have to rub it in my face." He pretended to be hurt by that.

Klaudine then came to realization what she's been doing, acting like an ill-mannered child.

She cleared her throat, and pointed her sword to Leonidas's face.

"I win." She said in a serious tone.

Leonidas just dropped his weapons and raised his hands as a sign of surrendering.

"Okay, yes you win and I surrender."

They both rested for a little while, trying to catch their breaths... When they saw outside the window they saw it was already dark.

"What time is it?" Leonidas asked as he saw the moon outside.

"Judging from the position and direction of the moon I'd say, maybe it's about 8 post meridian." Klaudine gave him an answer.

He'd already forgotten that his new world wasn't as advanced as his previous world, yes; this one was advanced with magic beyond times compared to the other one.

Here, they could heal any wounds and diseases in an instance and technology existed but it was that technology of the first century.

Still chilling and relaxing, Klaudine's ear tingled and she knew that someone was coming to her room.

"You have to leave, now." She helped Leonidas up and was pushing him to his secret passage way he used to come to her room.

"You are getting rid of me, that easily now?" Confused he didn't understand why she was chasing him away.

She picked up the rock that blocked and hid the passage way.

"Thank you for today, I really enjoyed it." She smiled at him.

And acted like nothing happened after Leonidas left.

Leonidas returned to his room and found a plate of food where his mom comb him, and he knew who it was from.

He just looked at it and smiled, then jumped in bed and was out like a light.

Tomorrow morning he took his test and he passed it like it was nothing, impressing his mother.

The system had gone silent on him even after trying to call it out, nothing happened.

So after five to six months down the line, he was now advanced from medicine making to marksmanship.

A long awaited finally appeared.
