Chapter 8
[Host has obtained Clairvoyant Sight]
The moment that Leonidas saw the notification before him, he was actually busy training with his mother. She was training him how to use all kinds of techniques and strategies.
It's been five to six months since he'd started his new marksmanship training, his potion making was completed half a year ago; which was quite a surprise for his mother.
Usually she'd assume and expected that he was going to complete his training later maybe after one year; or one year and a half not in just six months.
What was she training him for? It was unknown, but what he could make out is that; every single time he dared to ask her why was this necessary for him to go through all this?... She'd tell him that it's for him to have a fighting chance against anything or anyone who wanted to harm him.
It was no secret that Leonidas didn't have that much talent and his father has declared him 'useless'.
Yet again! Him being declared that; didn't mean that he didn't have any talent at all, it just meant that he was too weak for the Valak Clan.
Though he was part of the bloodline, he was still lacking in any of the attributes that would have made him an appreciated and well-loved member of the clan.
Despite his being half a vampire, he had those tiny and survival necessary powers that would classify him as a vampire; it was still unclear and unknown what his other half was.
Because from what he could recall from being deep in and interested in the book, his mother (Sharon) there wasn't much information about her, actually she was only shown and revealed in just a few chapters out of almost a book with close to two thousand chapters.
So her species was unknown, there might have been a possibility that she was nothing but a simple mere human being; because if she was then it would explain how she came to be the wife of the patriarch.
Maybe she was tricked and pulled under some spell or something, he couldn't be sure; but from what he had collected and known over his years of living as a direct lineage of the clan and being a bookworm... Humans weren't something found in their region.
As he was busy training, he had one task and mission try to hit where his mother was.
Of course, their training wasn't anywhere near the castle; it was a bit far away from them. A secret place that only Sharon knew and had decided to show her son.
That's where he got his interest of finding mysterious places and secret hideouts; Sharon had taught him everything.
Their secret spot was quite beautiful for a place that was in the region of vampires, it had quite a mesmerizing scenery and looked almost heavenly; not that the vampire region was bad or anything like that.
To put it in simple and easy to understand terms; the vampire region was more like a place where the deceased had died and perished.
There were trees, grass and a sky that was something you wouldn't see every day; but the colour coordination was not of what would be expected from a place with trees and grass and beautiful velds.
The trees were actually shiny black from the tree leaves to the tree trunk, still beautiful and healthy fruits grew from those trees; the grass was also black but it's soft touch was nothing compared to its beauty... And when it came to the velds and the fertile lands, only dreamt flowers and ground grown foods were ever found there.
Not to talk about their sky; the vampire region barely had any seasons except Spring and Autumn.
And when it came to Summer and Winter, it was quite rare because even during Spring and Autumn the sun only had one colour and that's red, always shinning but never too bright, and never too hot just normal.
Anyways.
The place that Sharon and Leonidas were training in. Was no different from the region; but and that's a big but.
This one was beautiful and green from everything beginning from; beautiful trees that only produced the finest tree grown food, to the ground that grew the most beautiful flowers.
And the clear and blue beautiful sky and golden yellow sun, that was just at a right temperature.
Still training and being unsuccessful at that, after the system informed him of what he has awakened.
He started to have this screaming and agonizing headache, where he felt like something was beating drums on top of his head.
His ears started to ring, and not to mention his sight he started to get all blurry and blind to the point that his headache would affect his nervous system and not send the needed information to make his body move.
He was using a bow and arrow to shoot, when out of nowhere and unexpectedly; his hand couldn't pull the string and shoot.
And his body was completely paralyzed from top to bottom.
He tried and tried by all means and strength to actually shoot, nothing was working; he groaned and grunted but to no avail did any of that move his body.
Frozen under the sun, his headache screamed more and more; and his ears felt like he could hear his own heartbreat... Coming from both ends of his ears.
His sight went completely dark and he stood there for about hours, still paralyzed and helpless.
What had happened was; his iris completely got shadowed and his eyes went completely white, like he was being possessed or something.
Luckily for him, his mother wasn't around to see that; she had left a long time ago and not that he was aware of any of that. He was just shooting at shadows of her.
'Why, can't I move?' He asked himself.

After the completion of the countdown.
Leonidas was finally set free, from the clutches of the system's download.
"Ugh!" He exhaled!
He began breathing super fast; like he was hyperventilating.
"Mm...mm...mm!" He took out what felt like his final breath.
His headache cooled down, and his ears' ringing stopping; he knelt down, sweating none stop, indicating that what he went through was extremely excruciating.
His sight came back, everything started to become more clear that before.

He finally saw the message that was lingering.
His eyes were burning and all red, even though everything was actually back to normal and his sight was back to him; his eyes were all weary and teary from what they just went through.
So in order to deal with the aftermath before his mother came up to check up on him, he decided that he was going to fasten the pace of having his eyes back to normal.
He blinked a couple of times, changing blinking paces... He blinked fast tree times; he blinked slow three times, and he blinked normal three times.
Upon getting up and his eyes back to normal, Leonidas couldn't even know where to begin when it came to what just happened, he still didn't understand how the system worked after all this was the first time all of this happened.
And it wasn't like the system was going to elaborate any further about anything, or else that's what he thought.
"System, please if possible elaborate my new activated abilities." He decided to give it a shot.

After reading what the system just showed, Leonidas couldn't help himself but be impressed. After all why wouldn't he be impressed.
The person who he has linked himself too was very powerful, and if he can remember quite well; though he hasn't seen her in half a year.
He was so certain that she had grown powerful over the last six months, and now she was ranked at level six quite impressive for a ten year old.
Leonidas's body felt a little light and weak, thou he was okay and back to normal; it looked like the downloading process actually deprived him of his energy not that he had much anyway.
Vampires had something called sigils, those were like their own distinct feature; a sigil was something that determined power and rank level of a vampire and since Klaudine was rank 6, it meant that she had a powerful sigil.
And since Leonidas didn't have any sigil, it meant that he was either ranked 0 or 1; which was impressive for someone who was only half.
After feeling tired he found himself on top of his bed and the second he closed his eyes; he saw something that felt like a dream but wasn't at the same time.
He felt like something or someone was coming for him, someone not from this realm.
