A luxurious silver-white carriage approached the examination point.
The four snow-white horses pulling the carriage were high-grade horses, far superior to Asura's Black Charcoal. The family crest on the carriage featured intertwined lightning and a scepter.
Asura didn't recognize the family, but the guards driving the carriage gave him an intense feeling of danger. This must be a high-ranking expert, and the family that could afford to have such a powerful individual drive their carriage must be a major force.
With the arrival of the silver carriage, the crowd that had been surrounding Asura suddenly dispersed, all rushing to surround the owner of the silver carriage.
Asura sneered and rolled his eyes, then turned his attention to the carriage. He wondered if the noble young lady coming out would also be rejected by the academy for arriving late, just like him.
As the carriage gradually came to a halt, the powerful driver notified the interior, and slowly, the carriage door opened.
A beautiful girl with silver hair stepped down from the carriage.
Though young, she was already an undeniable beauty! Her skin was as white as snow, and her facial features were exquisitely delicate. She wore a perfectly fitting silver gown, and her long silver hair made her appear even more noble and untouchable, evoking a natural sense of inferiority in those who saw her.
Asura was also stunned by her beauty. He had never seen a girl so beautiful. But with his mind focused on passing the exam and entering the academy, he didn't get lost in her majestic and noble aura.
The three tutors didn't seem to show any special enthusiasm because of the girl's beauty or the influence of her family. However, the young male tutor's eyes sparkled, and he subtly straightened his posture.
The silver-haired girl gave a slight bow and greeted the three tutors before filling out her application form.
She then walked up to the young female tutor, whose sign read "Mage Exam," and handed over her resume.
The young female tutor widened her eyes after scanning the form.
She quickly regained her composure and spoke with a serious tone: "Please hold the magic testing stone, and use your magic power to activate it. We will test your magic attributes and level."
The silver-haired girl nodded and, without hesitation, grabbed the white magic testing stone on the table.
Immediately, the stone glowed with a dazzling silver light, bright and intense!
At that moment, gasps of surprise echoed from behind her!
The young female tutor, also startled, said in amazement: "A lightning mage, and she has reached the first rank of a mage!"
The crowd around them gasped in awe, then began whispering among themselves about the girl. Some speculated about her age, some wondered which family she came from, while others speculated on what rank of mage she might become in the future...
The silver-haired girl didn't react to the excitement or discussions. She remained composed, as though she was already used to the admiration and praise she constantly received.
She gently asked, "Tutor, have I passed the test and been admitted to the academy?"
The young female tutor, still in shock, reflected on the number of talented students this year. Several had already passed the test in the previous days, and now this rare lightning mage girl was before her.
It seemed this year's intake would be full of strong new students, and she wondered who would get the title of "Newcomer King."
The older male tutor gently cleared his throat, and the young female tutor immediately snapped out of her reverie.
She looked slightly embarrassed but quickly regained her warmth and enthusiasm, saying, "Of course, you've passed! You are a rare lightning mage, and just that alone makes you eligible for admission!"
"Moreover, you've reached the first rank of a mage, making you a genius student of our academy!"
"Student Clara, welcome to Saint Gobain Academy!"
The surrounding crowd erupted into applause.
Everyone had witnessed the admission of a genius student, and perhaps this girl named Clara would become one of the famous mage powerhouses of the Kingdom of Kings in the future. This would surely be a story to boast about with friends.
Clara, the silver-haired girl, smiled with joy. After all, she was only around fourteen or fifteen years old. Despite having delayed her arrival because of her breakthrough to mage status, she was still happy about the tutor's recognition.
Just as Clara was about to take the Saint Gobain Academy badge from the female tutor and express her gratitude, a sudden voice rang out: "Wait, Tutor!"
"Does being a lightning mage automatically make one a genius student and grant them an additional spot to study? I heard you say that just now!"
The crowd stared in shock at the source of the voice. It was the tall, black-haired young man who had just completed his warrior test—Asura!
The crowd was confused. Wasn't he just rejected because the warrior spots were filled? Why was he now asking about the mage exams? Had he lost his mind after the rejection? Or was he trying to draw attention to himself in front of the tutor, hoping for special treatment?
Asura ignored the whispers and locked his intense gaze on the female tutor behind the stone desk.
Clara, the silver-haired girl, also turned to look at the tall young man.
Upon hearing his shout, her first reaction was that someone was trying to attract her attention, as so many young men had done before with foolish antics.
But when she saw that his gaze wasn't on her at all but instead focused on the tutor behind her, she realized she had misunderstood this young man, who appeared to be her age.
She secretly let out a sigh of relief but couldn't help feeling a bit annoyed. Clara's thoughts were always difficult to read.
The young female tutor frowned and, seemingly irritated by the interruption, said, "Being a lightning mage doesn't automatically make one a genius student!"
"It's just that lightning mages are incredibly rare, so our academy has a special rule that lightning mages can be given extra spots to study here!"
The moment the young female tutor finished speaking, Clara, the silver-haired girl, noticed the black-haired boy's eyes light up. She couldn't tell if it was just her imagination.
Then, the boy raised his voice again, asking loudly, "Are you sure, Tutor? As long as a new student is a lightning mage, they can be admitted to the academy?"
The young female tutor, growing impatient, replied, "I'm sure! Do you think I can just change the school's admission rules?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she felt that something was off, though she couldn't quite figure out what.
Before she could process her thoughts, the black-haired boy quickly walked up and, with a swift motion, wrote a personal resume and placed it on the stone table in front of the young female tutor.
He then grabbed the white magic testing stone on the table with both hands and shouted, "Light up!"
Under the boy's shout and the confused gazes of the onlookers, the magic testing stone, held tightly in the boy's hands, emitted a faint silver glow...
