Clara was startled by his sudden fall to the ground.
Seeing that the boy was wearing a dirty magic robe with some shoe prints on it, a faint odor of sweat emanated from Asura. Clara wrinkled her nose slightly.
After thinking for a moment, she poked him with her finger and asked, "Where did you go while skipping class? How did you end up like this?"
Asura merely lifted his eyelids to glance at her but didn't respond.
Clara, seeing his weary and sloppy state, felt a surge of anger. This was the first time she had actively spoken to a boy, and he was ignoring her.
Raising her voice, she said, "I'm the class monitor! If you skip class without reason, I will report you to the teacher!"
Asura sighed inwardly. Why do beautiful girls always have to go against him?
Lazily, he replied, "The dean said that the academy is free, we can attend any class we want!"
Clara, upon hearing this, remembered that the dean did indeed say something like that. Still, it made the young girl puff her cheeks out in frustration.
She thought for a moment and then added, "But that's not a reason to skip class. The three-month evaluation is coming up. If you don't attend class..."
Before she could finish, Asura interrupted her impatiently, waving his hand and harshly saying, "Why do you care?"
This sentence hit Clara straight in the heart. It was the first time anyone had spoken to her so harshly. The girl raised her chin stubbornly, not sure whether she was showing pride or trying to hold back tears.
At this moment, the class representative, Kyle, who had been eavesdropping, suddenly became excited.
He immediately shouted at Asura with indignation, "How can you speak to the class monitor like that? You're such a bad student, lazy and unambitious! You're bringing shame to our class! This kind of behavior..."
Before Kyle could continue his passionate rant, Clara, the silver-haired girl, suddenly shouted loudly, "Why do you care?"
Kyle and the entire class went silent.
Especially Kyle, whose heart seemed to have taken a thousand blows! Now, he was the one who wanted to cry!
Asura looked in surprise at the silver-haired girl, who was still arrogantly sulking and angry at him!
He realized that he had been a bit too harsh and shouldn't have taken out his frustration from being beaten by those two girls on Clara, especially since she was the class monitor.
Thinking of this, he took out his notebook and wrote a message: "Sorry, I had no choice. I don't understand magic classes!"
He then pushed the notebook in front of Clara. At first, Clara thought to herself that she wouldn't bother with this jerk again, but when she saw the notebook, she couldn't help but glance at it. What followed were a series of expressions of surprise, confusion, thoughtfulness, realization, and relief on her sweet face.
Clara had learned about Asura's background at the school gate and, being very smart, she immediately understood his current situation. Any lingering unhappiness she had also evaporated.
She bit her lip for a moment before writing in the notebook, "So, what are you going to do about it? Do you have a way to pass the evaluation? What have you been doing these past few days to end up in this condition?"
Asura glanced at the notebook she returned and then wrote down his plans and what had happened these past few days to share with Clara.
The two exchanged notes for a long time, with Clara writing more than she ever had with a boy. It was the first time she had ever written so much to a boy.
Finally, Clara chewed on her pen and wrote, "I don't know if the path you're choosing is the right one, but if you ever need help with magic, feel free to ask me!"
Asura took the notebook and, seeing the kindness in Clara's words, his mood brightened significantly.
He wrote back, "Okay, let me get through the three-month evaluation first, and we'll see from there!"
They chatted for quite a while without realizing how quickly time passed. The bell for the end of class rang suddenly.
Clara's face turned slightly red as she hurriedly closed the notebook. Asura stretched and, after telling Clara to "keep it a secret for me," left for his dorm.
Clara, like a thief, quietly placed the notebook into her spatial ring.
Back at the dorm, Asura saw that his older brother, Jin Ze, and his second brother, Arthur, were already waiting for him in the living room.
Seeing their concerned looks, Asura felt warmth in his heart. He knew they were worried about him after what happened yesterday.
He smiled and greeted them before sitting down and asking Jin Ze for some tea.
Both of them noticed that, although Asura was in a sorry state, he didn't come back with bruises and black eyes. They sighed in relief, guessing that Maggie probably didn't go too far this time.
Just as the three of them were chatting and laughing about the latest happenings at the academy, Angelo, the fourth brother, rushed in with a serious expression, staring at Asura without saying a word.
The other three didn't know what was going on and waited for Angelo to speak.
Finally, Angelo said slowly, "Third brother, I heard that today you were beaten by one of the top ten beauties of Warrior Class 7, Lan Yu?"
Asura's face darkened. How does this fourth brother know everything?
Jin Ze and Arthur were both first shocked, then envious. In just a few days since the start of school, Asura had already established connections with two of the top beauties among the new students, even though it wasn't the best of relationships. But it was enough to make these young men envious. If they knew that Asura was sitting with Clara, one of the top beauties, they wouldn't know how to react!
Before they could express their envy, Angelo dropped another bombshell, "Third brother, do you know? After Lan Yu beat you, she also broke through to the second stage of Warrior!"
Asura, who had just taken a sip of tea to calm himself, spat it out all over Angelo's face.
Angelo wiped his face and continued, "Third brother, now there's a rumor going around that if you beat you up, they can level up. Someone's already offered 500 points to beat you up."
"The new Warrior class knows you've been running around between classes these past few days. The stronger students are hoping you'll come to their class so they can spar with you."
"Third brother, you're now worth 500 points. So, what do you think? Will you take up the offer to get beaten up for 500 points? I have a buyer!"
Asura almost yelled out, "I'll pass, you idiot!" But when he saw Arthur's excited expression, who was looking at him like a hungry wolf, Asura quickly ran behind Jin Ze, fearing that Arthur would be tempted to "spar" with him.
Jin Ze quickly stepped in to defuse the situation, and Arthur gradually regained his composure.
He was just very competitive, and hearing that many people had advanced to the second stage of Warrior, he began to feel anxious.
After asking Jin Ze a few basic questions about magic, Asura went upstairs to his room, feeling a headache just thinking about his current situation. The fact that the strong students from all the new warrior classes were eager to beat him up made him feel deeply depressed!
How did things end up like this? I just wanted to attend a warrior class!
Despite his frustration, Asura kept meditating until dawn. His body continued to absorb magic elements like an endless void. He had asked Jin Ze about his meditation time, and Jin Ze could only meditate for about three hours before being forced to stop.
Asura didn't know what exactly was wrong with his body, and he wasn't in the mood to think about it either.
The next morning, as Asura walked towards the training ground, he had already made up his mind: rather than being beaten up by the strong students from other classes, it would be better to get beaten by those two girls.
Between the two, Lan Yu seemed a bit better, because she didn't hit the face, and Asura could accept that more.
However, when he reached the training ground, he saw two girls, one with blue hair and the other with red, waiting for him at the door. Asura immediately turned and ran toward the Magic Academy.
What a joke! Did the two of them plan to gang up and beat me? How can I withstand the combined attack of two second-stage Warriors?
When the two girls saw Asura running away, they were clearly unhappy.
Lan Yu turned to Maggie and said, "It's all your fault! As soon as you showed up, you scared him away!"
Maggie immediately retorted, "I was the one who asked him to spar first! You came over and stole my sparring partner, and you're blaming me?"
Lan Yu quickly shot back, "I didn't steal him! Teacher Enger assigned him to me as a sparring partner, and besides, he said he was willing to spar with me!"
Maggie didn't believe it, replying, "I don't believe that! What's so great about you, little demon? He promised to only spar with me yesterday!"
The two girls had never gotten along since childhood, and now they were even more at odds over this matter. They argued back and forth, each not giving in.
Eventually, the two directly started fighting in the training ground, and it ended in a draw, with each of their instructors pulling them away!
That day, the explosive news that the two top new female students fought over a sparring partner spread throughout the student community...
