"Retreat!! Retreat!! Retreat!! Captain Boka shouted at the top of his voice to signal to the soldiers in the defence line in order for them to retreat.
A ball-like explosive was about to be launched by the Xeridians to wipe away the human army and was obviously approaching their direction,it could be seen from a distance.
But unfortunately for the soldiers at the defence line they couldn't hear his scream nor did they know that an explosive was approaching their direction.
Captain Boka, lowered his weapon as he screamed at his men in the defence line.
His voice tore through the comms as he stood near the eastern perimeter, his eyes wide with horror.
Fall back!!Fall back!! Captain Boka's voice crackled through the comms.
But unfortunately, most of his men couldn't hear him scream nor did they know that an energy base explosive was already approaching them,it was heading in their direction.
The Xeridian energy explosive is a deadly weapon far beyond human comprehension, it has the potential of destroying and bringing down anything in its path.
The ball-like energy explosive was launched and then landed on the ground where the soldiers in the defence line were staying.
"WHOOSH..... BOOMM!!!!!!!!!"
Before the soldiers knew what had happened the ball-like explosive detonated in an instant emitting a deafening powerful shockwave and a high blast wind knocking down anything that could be found hundred of metres around it.
Dozens of soldiers in the defence line were knocked off their feets were thrown away, their screams lost in the deafening roar away from the explosive.
The ball-like explosive was not only disastrous but also toxic and it emitted pungent fumes and highly concentrated toxic vapour making it almost impossible for anyone around the defence line to survive the attack.
Even those who were not fully affected by the impact of the explosive but sustained severe internal injuries and bruises couldn't escape because of the pungency of the vapour emitted by the explosive that diffused into the air.
The air it emitted was so toxic that even a single sniff could be fatal to humans causing instant death.
The Xeridian energy blast hadn't just caused destruction. It had poisoned the air.
Thick, acrid fumes hissed from the impact zone, spreading outward in ghostly tendrils.
The vapor shimmered with an eerie glow, and wherever it touched, death followed.
One breath was all it took. Soldiers stumbled, clutched their throats, and collapsed—eyes wide and bleeding.
The air became an invisible killer.
Surviving the attack was nearly impossible in any way.
After this tragic event, the air was filled with the acrid smell of ozone, burning flesh, pungent blood scent,Casting a suffocating cloud and making it hard to breathe.
The human army defence has crumbled and a lot of military personnels around the defence line died and those who managed to escape the impact sustained severe internal injuries and bruises.
And among the fallen was David, who had already passed out just after his battle with a Xeradian creature.
Captain Boka and his remaining team were pinned near the outer perimeter, watching helplessly as their comrades were erased.
The Xeridians moved with terrifying grace—tall, armored monstrosities whose skin shimmered like living metal.
Bullets bounced off them uselessly. Rockets cracked but left nothing more than scorch marks.
One of them, larger than the rest, emerged from the smoke. Standing nearly three meters tall, the alien leader raised an arm.
At its center was a core of blue-white energy. With a flick of its clawed fingers, it launched another explosive.
"MOVE!"
Captain Boka dove for cover just before the second blast detonated. The earth heaved under the force. His ears rang. Dust filled his mouth.
The soldiers around him were dying in droves.
Despite their best efforts, the human forces were utterly outmatched. Their bullets were meaningless. Their armor were like paper. Their numbers were windling.
Human bodies lay scattered across the battlefield, most unrecognizable. Those who hadn't been vaporized by the explosions had died from the vapor, choking and clawing at their own throats.
The scent of ozone, charred flesh, and burnt metal lingered in the air like a curse.
Captain Boka, bloodied and breathless, rallied what few men he had left.
"We can't save them," he said through gritted teeth, looking back at the fallen defense line. "We leave now or we all die here."
There was no time to bury the dead. No time to salvage gear. Just survival.
With one final look toward the smoke-cloaked horizon, Boka led his team through a narrow canyon, retreating toward the hidden access tunnel that led to their underground base. Behind them, the screams faded. The fires burned on.
The Xeridians attack was a precision strike, aimed at the heart of the human resistance. They moved with a chilling efficiency, cutting down anyone who dared to stand in their way.
The humans fought bravely, but they were no match for the Xeridians superior technology and ruthless tactics.
During the war between the Xeridian Empire and Humans, The Human army tried to fight back but the Xeridians were too strong, their bodies were really tough and dense and were covered up with metallic materials .
Human weapons were not affecting them in any way and bullets were not penetrating their skin, which made it really difficult for the soldiers to fight back.
The more they fought the more soldiers they lost,so they had no other choice but to retreat, they had lost a lot already and were not ready to lose more.
The human army was forced to retreat.
Captain Boka accepted the fact that those affected by the explosive were not going to survive and trying to save any of them would only make things worse so he managed to retreat back to an underground base with the remaining officers.
The humans had fallen.
Earth was no longer a battleground, it was a mass grave.
