Chapter 2 - Beating Up the Unethical Doctor, Winning the Heart of a Beauty

Samantha frantically buckled her seatbelt after hearing Jake's words.

Jake slammed his foot on the gas pedal, and the car shot forward like a rocket. Fortunately, the parking lot was large enough for the car's acceleration.

Samantha, startled by the sudden movement, felt herself being pushed back into her seat. She gripped her seatbelt tightly, too frightened to move.

This was Jake's first time driving such a luxury car, and he couldn't contain his excitement. He glanced at Samantha, whose face had turned pale, and a sense of pride swelled within him. This was the true definition of the dream car and beauty combination.

As they drove out of the parking lot, the roar of the engine filled the air, instantly capturing the attention of every passerby.

"Wow, that car is amazing! I wish I had one," one person said.

"Do you know what that car is? You could never afford one. It's a top-tier sports car, the Venom, worth millions," another person replied.

"There are only five of these cars in the entire country, and one is right here in our city. How crazy is that?"

"It's incredible."

"Good grief, it's so expensive. Keep your distance. If I even scratch the paint, I'd be in debt for life!"

What had once been a congested street now seemed to part like the Red Sea. Cars couldn't move until Jake's Venom passed, creating a clear path. Samantha stared, wide-eyed.

*Is this the influence of Mr. Jacobs?* she thought to herself.

If Jake knew what she was thinking, he would've chuckled and said, *It's the car's allure, not my charm.*

Normally, it would take around half an hour to reach the hospital during rush hour. However, Jake managed to get them to the entrance of *Fukang Hospital* in just fifteen minutes.

Jake parked the car, and Samantha's face was still pale from the ride. He opened the passenger door and gently took her hand to help her out of the car.

Samantha felt an intense wave of nervousness as her palms began to sweat. There was something about his touch that made her feel like she needed to be protected.

Jake looked at her, a little puzzled. They had already shared more intimate moments before, so why was she reacting like this now?

It was clear that the previous owner of this body had no understanding of how to treat a woman with care.

Samantha took a deep breath to calm herself before walking into the hospital with Jake, preparing to visit her mother.

Jake wasn't just standing idly by. With his new *Spoiled Brat Points*, he hadn't yet tried his luck with the lottery.

"System, I want to try the lottery," Jake said.

A virtual spinning wheel appeared before him, whirring into action.

The wheel stopped with a click.

"Congratulations, host. You have won the *Legacy of the Medicine King*. The knowledge has been implanted into your brain."

Suddenly, a flood of medical knowledge filled Jake's mind, as if he had studied medicine for years.

Jake couldn't help but be amazed. *This system is seriously incredible,* he thought.

Jake wasn't thrilled about receiving the *Legacy of the Medicine King*. *Why the hell would I want to be a doctor?* he thought. *I have a system that lets me spend money freely—why waste time on medicine?*

...

Meanwhile, inside a hospital room, a middle-aged woman sat weakly on a hospital bed. A man in a white coat, with gold-rimmed glasses, stood over her, his tone cold and impatient.

"You've delayed your payment long enough," the doctor sneered. "Either pay up now, or I'll have security throw you out."

"Dr. Lee, please… just a few more days," the woman begged, her voice trembling. "My daughter has gone to borrow the money."

Dr. Lee chuckled, his smile dripping with malice.

"A few more days? Well… that might be possible."

"Really? Thank you! Thank you, Dr. Lee!" The woman's face lit up with hope as she repeatedly expressed her gratitude.

"But…" Dr. Lee's smile widened. "There's a condition."

The woman's expression froze. "W-What condition?" she asked hesitantly.

"It's simple, really," Dr. Lee said, his eyes gleaming with undisguised lust. "If your daughter keeps me company for a week, I'll extend your payment deadline. Hell, I might even waive your hospital bill altogether."

"No! No, please!" The woman shook her head violently, tears spilling down her cheeks. "Anything but that. Please, Dr. Lee, choose another condition!"

Dr. Lee's smirk vanished, replaced by an icy glare.

"If you won't agree, then I have no choice. Security will remove you immediately."

BANG!

The door slammed open as Jake kicked it in.

Samantha rushed to her mother's side, wrapping her arms protectively around her.

Dr. Lee jumped at the sudden noise. But as soon as he saw Jake, his fear turned to anger.

"Who the hell are you? You dare break into my hospital?!"

Jake didn't bother responding. Instead, he walked up and slapped Dr. Lee across the face.

SMACK!

Dr. Lee flew across the room, crashing into the wall. Blood spurted from his mouth, along with two of his molars.

"AARRGHH!" he screamed in agony.

But Jake wasn't done. He walked up and kicked him twice more, each strike filled with pure rage. *You dared to lay eyes on my woman?*

Samantha and her mother trembled at the sight of Dr. Lee's battered form.

Samantha was terrified, but a strange warmth filled her heart as she gazed at Jake.

"STOP!"

A man in dark sunglasses stormed into the room, his voice echoing with authority.

Jake stopped and turned toward the newcomer.

"Uncle… h-help me… I-I'm dying!" Dr. Lee whimpered, his body wracked with pain.

"I'm the director of *Fukang Hospital*," the man announced, his face twisted with fury. "Who do you think you are, attacking my staff?!"

Jake pulled out his phone and pressed play.

A recording filled the room.

"Dr. Lee, please… just a few more days. My daughter has gone to borrow the money."

...

"If your daughter keeps me company for a week, I'll extend your payment deadline. Hell, I might even waive your hospital bill altogether."

Jake glanced at the director. "Is this enough proof?" he asked coldly.

The director scoffed. "So what? He only said it—he didn't actually do anything. Beating him like this is excessive!"

Jake sighed and shook his head. *The corruption runs deep.*

"System, find me the contact information for this hospital's investor," Jake said in his mind.

A moment later, he dialed a number.

"I want to buy *Fukang Hospital*. Three hundred million."

A brief pause.

"Alright. I'll meet you at the hospital shortly."

Jake hung up.

The director sneered. "Hah! What a joke. You think you can buy *Fukang Hospital*? Keep dreaming."

Just then, a middle-aged man with slicked-back hair rushed into the hospital, panting.

Upon spotting Jake, he hurried over.

"Mr. Jacobs! I apologize for the wait!" The man bowed deeply, his forehead covered in sweat.

The director's jaw nearly hit the floor.

The hospital's investor—someone he had tried to curry favor with—was actually bowing to this young man?!

A wave of dread washed over him.

He had seriously underestimated Jake Jacobs.
