Chapter 2 - Chapter 2.

Ellis Crovian, the kingdom's youngest grand magician, the Royal Academy of Magic's tutor, and the one who controls the elements and order, was standing calmly in the middle of the spell formation, his golden pupils as bright as glaze in the dim light. His black vestments were embroidered with intricate magical patterns, and the hem of his cloak floated slightly with the darkness, like a shadow of light that was not bound by reality. He stood quietly in the center of the magic formation, surveying the demon in front of him with interest. To be honest, he had originally anticipated many scenarios-such as the summoned demon would laugh arrogantly and look down on him to proclaim its greatness; or perhaps it would ask him sorrowfully about his desires and lure him step by step towards degradation.

But he definitely didn't expect that this Abyssal Royalty, the Noble Contracted Demon Nyx, would actually freeze in his expression the moment he saw him.Kind of interesting.

Although the other party's expression recovered quickly, Ellis wasn't an ordinary magician, and that momentary pause was still captured clearly by him.Not to mention, when Nyx had just stared at him, his eyes actually carried an unspeakably complex emotion - like suspicion, like wariness, and even a hint of ... cluelessness vaguely? He was panicking?

The corners of Ellis's mouth curved in an untraceable manner, his face still maintaining a calm and composed attitude, as if he was completely unaware of Nix's subtle changes."You seem a little surprised?"He spoke slowly, his voice low and with a hint of careless playfulness, "Why, shouldn't the contracted demons of the Abyss treat their summoners equally?"

Actually, he was more likely to ask, 'Do you think you've matched the wrong pairing?'

But Ellis had never been one to talk things out, especially when the other party was already skeptical.

Nyx's eyes darkened slightly, as if he had sensed something, and immediately put away the dismay he had just felt and resumed his usual Abyssal Noble demeanor. He smiled slightly, the dangerous aura that a demon should have was restored in his blood colored pupils, his voice was low and magnetic: "Of course not, I just didn t expect that ... the one who summoned me would be someone like you."There was a feeling of being tricked into the Big Brother Bureau.

Ellis did not answer, just looked at him quietly, as if waiting for the next development.

Once again, the air was silent for a moment. Then Nyx finally realized a fact. No, it is reasonable that this moment should be the time when the summoner is nervous and uneasy, and I am in control of the rhythm as a demon ... Why is it that he is the one who is watching the drama from beginning to end?

Nyx quickly adjusted his mindset, suppressed the doubts he just had, and the corner of his lips hooked up a smile that belonged to the nobility of the abyss. All right, although the summoner is a bit off, the demon s compulsion must still be established.

Darkness surged behind him, as if even the void was subjugated to his existence, and his dark colored robes rose slightly, outlining his slender and noble figure. He slightly raised his hand, his fingertips crossed the air, an invisible ripple immediately spread out, the candle flame extinguished, the temperature of the stone room plummeted, even the air became sticky and oppressive. His blood-colored pupils narrowed slightly, his voice was low and compelling, carrying the innate seductiveness of an abyssal demon: "Mortal, do you know what you are doing?"

"You thirst for power, yet you are willing to use your humanity as a contract.Do you realize that this means your soul will be inscribed by the Abyss, and your will will be tainted with darkness. In the end, you may not even remember who you are."

His tone was both threatening and compassionate, as if he was scrutinizing a mortal who was about to bring about his own demise. As his words fell, he gently waved his hand, and the darkness in the room transformed into countless twisted shadows that climbed up the walls like living creatures, vaguely intertwining into writhing abyssal runes that emitted a palpitating aura.

"Is this the deal you wanted?"He chuckled lowly, his gaze taking on a condescending look down, "If you regret it now, it's not too late."Perfect, the aura was drawn out, the sense of oppression was in place, an example of Abyssal pretense.

Next, it was time to wait for the other party to show a faltering look - after all, humans are fragile.

However, Ellis looked at Nyx silently, his face rippling with emotion. He neither showed panic nor took half a step back due to the demon's intimidating pressure, and he didn't even change the frequency of his breathing. He only slightly tilted his head sideways, and a hint of ... interest surfaced in the bottom of his eyes

interest as if he was enjoying the show?
