NALAIA'S POV
"Have you found what you've been looking for?"
"Not yet, but I don't think I'll leave our town to look for her because she's just around here," the prince answered.
"Who is he looking for?" I whispered to myself.
"I heard that the woman who cursed Quilaia is coming?"
When the name of someone I didn't know was mentioned, I raised my head and looked at them. I shouldn't have done it, but I did it anyway. I immediately bent down and then bit my lip, held my head, and closed my eyes tightly because of the pain I felt. I tell Brina that I'm not feeling well, so I need to go back to my room. I tried to relieve my headache and when it was gone, I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Nalaia."
I turned around when someone called my name. "Who's that? Who's there?" I asked, but no answered.
I went to my window, and I didn't see any suspicious people there, but I could feel her ora. I don't know who it is but I know that she's a woman, and she has a dark aura that covers her. She's using black magic so that means she's a witch or a wizard. I open my palm, and the light magic comes out of my body. I closed my eyes to know where she was hiding. When I saw her, I was shocked when I realized that it was just a black crow. It's a man by this time.
"Who are you, and what are you doing here? Are you following me?" I asked, and his head tilted towards me.
"Aren't you glad that I am here, Nalaia?" he asked, then I took out an archer and pointed it at him.
"If you don't get out of here, I won't hesitate to point this out to you," I warned him.
I came to a halt when someone knocked on my door. I held my powers and fixed myself. I opened the door, and when I saw who was there, I frowned because the prince was here. "W-Wha—I mean…" I bowed to him. "Your highness, what is your command?" I ask.
"I want you to clean my room right now," he said.
"Yes, your highness," I answered.
"And I want you to make me a coffee after you finish cleaning my room. I'm at the library."
I nod at him and give him a fake smile. He turned around and left me behind after he gave his command. But I realize something.
He came here just to say that?
I winced and just did what he said. I grabbed a broom and a dustpan, followed by a rag to clean away the dust. I was surprised when I arrived at the prince's room because I had just entered his room and had not expected it to be larger than the other rooms. I started cleaning while looking around to make sure no one else could see me. I also constructed a sign indicating that someone was on their way here because they don't need to know that I had power. If someone knows that I have a power, it's the end of my life. I snap my fingers to make things move on their own and while I do that, I look around the room and try to find something. While hanging around, I see the picture frame of the woman, and I don't know who it was. I stared at it and couldn't take my eyes off its strange, rainbow-like eyes.
"She's… familiar," I whispered.
I turned to the door and immediately stopped what I was doing. I grabbed the rag and pretended to wipe the floor. When the door opened, I didn't look to see who entered. While wiping the floor, the woman approached me, then stopped in front of me. I just bowed to her, and after that, I waited for what she would say to me.
"It seems that what I did to get you away from him didn't work," she said.
I stopped what I was doing and stood up, then looked at her. I frowned at her and winced at what she said. "What do you mean?" I ask. "And who are you?" I added.
She didn't respond and gripped my chin, then she gave me a terrifying grin that made my heart leap a beat. I'd never seen her before. "It doesn't matter who I am; I will not allow him to know who you are," she continued, making me feel dizzy.
"Hey freak girl." When I woke up, there was a pair of shoes in front of me.
I immediately got up, straightened myself, looked at him, and then bowed. "I'm sorry… Something happened because—" I couldn't finish what I was going to say when he suddenly slapped me, and I sat on the floor because of what he did.
I held my cheek and felt like my soul was separated the moment he did that. "I don't allow you to sleep in my room. I said clean it, I didn't say rest here," he said seriously and in an angry tone.
"I-I didn't mean to—"
"Stupid!"
"S-Sorry."
"Get out!" he said, pointing to the door. "Before I kill you, get out," he said firmly, and then I quickly took all my things and left.
I reached the kitchen and washed my face. I clenched my fists because of annoyance and anger. I don't know what happened earlier and who that woman is. I tried to remember what she said, but I couldn't. I could feel that she was using black magic so I could be able to remember what she said to me and did to me. I took a deep breath and made myself calm.
The next day I woke up early to exercise my body because I could feel that these past few days I had gotten weak. After what happened yesterday, I wanted to return my strength so I could do Prince Zixs's task. While stretching my body, I heard some footsteps, and I rapidly hid in the bush, made myself visible, and hid my scent so they wouldn't know that I was here.
They are wolves, and they are the prince's cousins. I don't know what they are doing here. As far as I know, there is no celebration today and no coronation to be held. While I was hiding, I listened to what they were talking about. I'm here too, so I'll listen to whatever their plans are with the prince.
"She's here, Amadela," Prince Alito said.
"What do you mean? Who's she?" Princess Amadela said, confused.
"The woman who cursed Quilaia before," he answered.
I couldn't help but wonder who they were talking about and who Quilaia was as I glanced at them. I just winced, stood up slowly, and teleported to my room. They'll know I'm there if I walk. When I entered the room, I noticed Brina knocking on the door. I quickly got ready and changed my clothes. I opened the door and then smiled at her, and she said the prince was calling for me. What she said made me nervous, and I was afraid I'd get slapped again. I simply smiled at Brina and went on to the prince's room. I knocked three times, then opened the door when I heard his voice.
When I opened the door, I was shocked when I saw the prince in his robe, and I suddenly turned around and closed the door, even though he hadn't said anything yet. I got scared and nervous when I saw him. His abs, his muscles, and his perfect body made me feel hot.
"Nalaia?" he called my name.
"Y-Yes your highness," I answered.
"What the hell are you doing there?" he said.
It seems like he's annoyed. "Ah… I-I was—I mean… B-Brina said that… y-you called me. I-I just want to ask if there's something that you want me to do, your highness?" I say, still stuttering.
"Then why are you behind that fucking door?"
"Because you're just wearing a robe?" I said, confused.
"Open that fucking door and come inside," he said to me in an orderly manner.
I did what he said, cautiously opening the door with my eyes closed and bowing. I'm not sure how to cope with it because it's difficult to prevent such things.
"What will you command, Prince Zixs?" I inquired, bowing.
"Lift up your head," he said, and I did, merely looking into his eyes. "My library is dirty and dusty; clean it all, and it has to be clean by the end of the day," he said, then I nodded at him.
"I will," I replied.
I turned back, but I came to a halt when I felt something unusual around me, then I heard the howl of a wild animal. From behind me, I saw a large wolf that looked terrifying. I don't know what to do, and I feel weak as a result of what happened. I'm afraid I'm going to run out of air right now. I don't remember the last time I was afraid like this, so I rushed outside, hurried to where I could turn, then teleported to the library. When I got there, I was relieved, and I breathed deeply. I calmed down my entire body system, then looked around, and it was full of dust, as he mentioned. I wince because this library was so huge that I felt like it would take me a week to clean it.
"Why does the palace need to have a huge library like this?" I ask myself,"
I put my palms together and closed my eyes. After that, the light came out of my body, then I snapped my fingers and all of the books flew into the air and I smiled. When I do that, I make it all clean, then after that I clean the shelves. I got the map and cleaned the floor. To be honest, I enjoy cleaning no matter how big the house or room is. But I stopped when I remembered for a moment what happened earlier, then remembered that the prince was just a wolf.
I just shook my head at what happened. Indeed, he doesn't care about anyone, and he doesn't care if you die of fear. What's important to him is that he was happy in what he was doing. I also think about the conversation I heard earlier and wondered who Quilaia was. I know all the relatives of the prince because of a big family picture of them on the wall of the living area, and all the faces, and the names of their relatives are attached to each hallway. That's why I was curious when they mentioned the name of that woman they were talking about.
"Nalaia!" When someone yelled my name, I turned to the door and quickly arranged everything because of a shock.
Then I stood up and waited for someone to walk through the door. I saw Xas carrying food when it opened. I smiled at what he brought and came over to take a slice of bread and drink the juice. I felt exhausted after drinking it because, although I was using power to clean everything, it doesn't mean that I wasn't using my strength.
"Thank you for remembering to give me food!" I said, and he smiled.
