"What are we going to do now?" Samantha asked concerned.
"How should I know, your man there just totally blew up our plan!" Brian replied.
"My man?"
"It was your idea to make a deal with him, I knew he'd screw us over I just didn't think it'd be this quick."
Meanwhile back in the ring. "Oh crap, that's right I was supposed to keep the fight going." Peter thought to himself. "Oh well, can't be helped. I got a better idea anyway."
He then went up to the announcer and grabbed the microphone. "I've had enough! I'm so bored! I can't find a decent fight no matter what I do! So I have a proposition for all of you!"
All of the people that were leaving suddenly stopped and waited to hear what Peter had to say.
"What is he doing boss?" One of Karasovitch's guards asked.
"I don't know but he rarely speaks up like this, it could be interesting. Let's wait and see what he has to say." Karasovitch responded.
Meanwhile back in the office. "Wait it looks like he's still got their attention. Let's get back to the search." Samantha said.
"I need some kind of challenge so I have 100,000, no 1,000,000 dollars for anyone who can beat me. You can all fight me at once it doesn't matter. Come on! Do any of you have the guts to fight me?" Peter said as he laid a challenge to the crowd that sent it into a frenzy.
People started rushing the cage in waves. Peter effortlessly knocked out several men who charged him with a flurry of jabs. Every man who entered the cage to fight him got either instantly knocked out or was thrown around like a rag doll. The crowd had turned into total chaos. Extra security had to be called just to calm things down. Which turned out to work perfectly as it gave Samantha and Brian an opportunity to easily escape undetected.
Back stage Peter was getting himself cleaned up, he had a lot of blood on himself, though none of it was his own. Karasovitch went to talk to him.
"Wow boy! That was the most exciting event I've ever had here. When I told you to make this more interesting I didn't quite mean for you to take it that far." Karasovitch said. "It was good entertainment, but unfortunately several of my best customers were in the crowd and you absolutely clobbered them. So unfortunately I will have to end your employment here."
"Eh, that's fine I really was getting bored with this anyway." Peter said as he took his final payment.
Peter then met back up with the others after he left. "So, did you guys actually get anything? If you didn't you probably won't get another chance like that." Peter said.
"We actually did get something good, but you almost blew the whole thing!" Brian shouted. "Why would you knock the guy out so quickly when we specifically told you not to?"
"It's not my fault, that guy was just way too weak is all. It couldn't be helped. Plus if you think about it, it would be suspicious for me to have a close fight." Peter said defending his actions.
Brian was going to try to rebut those statements, but Samantha calmed him down again. "Either way it all worked out in the end. And if we're being honest, your way caused a way bigger distraction than we even anticipated." She said.
"Whatever, anyway a deal is a deal, but you're still going to be facing jail time yourself." Brian explained.
"Yeah, sure." Peter replied.
As one would expect, Peter had disappeared from his holding cell without a trace.
"You've got to be kidding me! I even put double the security this time around too!" Brian said as he was ready to rip his hair out in frustration. "I've got to get his information to local law enforcement, I'm not going to let him get away this time!"
"Just wait a minute, I think I know where he might be. Just give me a chance to talk to him before you start scouring the city for him." Samantha said.
"Fine, but be careful with that guy."
Samantha headed to an apartment complex in Chinatown. The apartments were upstairs from a restaurant and were small and modest. She went up the stairs and eventually knocked on one of the doors. The man who opened the door was Pedro Martinez.
"Huh? What do you want?" He asked sleepily rubbing his eyes.
"I'm sure someone who just escaped FBI custody could guess why an FBI agent would be knocking on his door." She replied. "Speaking of which, most people on the run don't just go straight home afterwards."
"You're not serious about trying to take me back in right? You should know by now that it's pointless."
"It's true, I don't know how you do it but you make breaking out of custody look easy. So why don't we make a deal just the two of us?"
"Fine, but it better be good."
"We'll suspend your charges, but we want you to lay low and try to not cause anymore trouble. You helped us out and I don't think you're really a bad guy. We'd both be better off not wasting time chasing you around."
"That works for me, I was planning on doing that anyway. But are you sure that your partner will go for that? He seemed like a real by the book kinda guy."
Samantha chuckled. "Don't worry about him, I can convince him, so all you have to do is hold up your end of the bargain. Deal?" She asked while holding her hand out.
Peter took her hand as if he was grabbing a dirty rag. "Eh, fine."
