Chapter 29 - Are You Worried About Me?

Yunmeng Martial Academy — Outer Court.

Inside a simple wooden hut belonging to a regular outer court disciple…

[Ding! System-produced items cannot be recycled!]

"Hmph, as expected. This route doesn't work either… I'll have to try the other one," Su Ba muttered to himself, returning the handful of dog food to the system space.

At this point, it had been a while since he publicly challenged Wang Hui.

By now, word had likely spread throughout the entire academy.

Yet Su Ba's expression remained calm and unaffected.

He had set himself a one-month limit—because he was confident.

...

For most people, raising their cultivation level required time—one month simply wasn't enough.

But for him? As long as he had enough Enhancement Points, he could advance rapidly.

Aside from system-created items, everything else could be recycled… well, not living things either.

Su Ba nodded to himself. That was something he had already confirmed when dealing with Wangwang.

But after interacting with the little pup, a flash of inspiration had struck him.

If living things couldn't be recycled, what about dead ones?

Like corpses—either human or beast.

Human corpses were out of the question; he wasn't about to start killing people randomly.

But the bodies of wild beasts or spirit beasts? Those he could hunt in the wilderness.

If beast corpses couldn't be recycled either, then he had one last option—sell the dog food.

With how quickly the food enhanced spirit beasts, it would definitely drive people crazy with desire.

But unless he had no choice, Su Ba didn't want to go that route.

After all, he might need the food himself in the future to raise his own spirit beasts. Besides, flaunting wealth was dangerous. If word got out, who knew how many eyes would be on him?

If worse came to worst, he could approach Qin Jiuyue and trade the dog food for pills or elemental stones—items he could then recycle.

Judging by her temperament, he felt she was someone trustworthy enough.

Knock knock!

Just as he was thinking that, someone knocked on his door.

Su Ba raised an eyebrow, walked over, and opened it.

Standing there was a quiet, beautiful young woman with a serene aura.

"Senior Sister Qin? You?"

Su Ba blinked in mild surprise. What a coincidence!

Now that he'd officially joined the academy, calling her "senior sister" was only natural.

"I heard you issued a challenge to Wang Hui?" Qin Jiuyue looked directly at him.

"I did." Su Ba nodded.

"Do you know how strong he is?" Qin Jiuyue's tone grew slightly tense. "With his peak four-star strength, he's practically comparable to a mid-stage five-star martial artist. I know you're capable of fighting above your level, but the higher the realm, the harder that becomes. You're nearly four major realms apart. Do you really think one month is enough?"

Su Ba met her gaze. "Senior Sister Qin, you're not angry anymore? Are you worried about me?"

That caught her off guard.

Su Ba's eyes sparkled with mischief as he looked her over from head to toe.

For some reason, Qin Jiuyue suddenly felt as though she was being seen through, like she was standing there without a single thread of clothing. Her entire body tensed up with discomfort.

But she quickly composed herself and said sternly, "Junior Brother Su, I'm not as petty as you imagine. I'm just saying, maybe you should reconsider. Push the fight back a bit—I can help you negotiate with the academy…"

"No need."

Su Ba cut her off calmly. His gaze serious, he said clearly, "My martial path is one of unwavering dominance. If I say I'll defeat Wang Hui in one month… then he. Will. Lose."

BOOM!

A wave of domineering pressure erupted from Su Ba's body, surging like a tidal wave!

He stood tall, sharp-eyed, his posture like an unyielding pine standing firm against the storm.

Qin Jiuyue was stunned.

She stared at Su Ba deeply, her heart rippling slightly, before finally tossing two items from her sleeve into his hand.

"This is for you. I'm leaving."

And with that, she turned and walked away gracefully.
