The entire room of Marshals begins erupting in noise as every Marshal has different reactions to this news.
"How is that even possible?!" Yamiya The Third Marshal exclaimed.
"This information has to be fabricated! The Sword Eater, returning?!" Nagachi expressed disbelief.
"Who was the scout?! They need to be punished for this immediately!" Aisu shouted into the noise.
*CLAP* CLAP
The overpowering claps instantly began to bring the noise down as Kaen stood up from his seat.
"Ota, this news is troubling... But what significant evidence do we have for such a reveal?" Kaen The First Marshal questioned in response.
"Unfortunately, as for evidence, the words of the scout I've placed to spy on Proxy are all there is." Ota replied defeatedly.
"Then how do we expect to truly believe this? Is it not possible that Chirashi Yasagi knew the scout was spying on them and led them to falsify information?" Kojima The Seventh Marshal retorted.
Abruptly the rest of the Marshals began agreeing with him.
"It's highly possible, yes! But should it not be investigated even a little?! Do the words Sword Eater not strike fear into you as they should?!" Ota pleaded in irritation.
"While I do believe they should, I also believe The Sword Eater was defeated almost seventy-five years ago. For it to abruptly show back up in a new form is very unlikely." Remarked Kaen as he swiftly took back to his seat.
"I swear, I knew this was a waste of my time. I've had two beauties awaiting my arrival in my quarters, and yet I find myself here wasting their time." Aisu complains as he stands up and begins leaving.
Slowly the rest of the Marshals begin to join him, leaving Kaen and Ota as the remaining two.
"Ota, I believe the information you've brought is vital. But also remember, being the newest marshal comes with its drawbacks." Kaen sighs as he stands up and begins to leave.
"But gather more information, and just maybe you'll convince them that you are meant to be one of us." Kaen advised before making his exit.
Leaving Ota by himself within The Soul Court. His irritation finally reaches him as he slams his fist into the table.
"Damned bastards never listen! I'm trying to warn them, and they just tell me off and say I'm lying!" Ota shouts angrily before grabbing hold of the scroll and crumpling it up.
Then tossing it away in The Soul Court in anger. As it rolls under one of the seats in the first row. He leans onto the table and just breathes. Before recalling what Kaen said last.
"More information... Fine, I'll wait... Then I'll prove it; I'll show you all." Ota spoke to himself before turning abruptly and leaving.
Inside Mugen-Open Mountain Setting
"Keep it up! Kairo! You're getting the upper hand!" Chirashi shouts as she's cheering on Kairo, who's currently locked into battle with The sword statue again.
Kairo is standing at its feet as it's stabbing its sword into the ground where he stands. As it comes barreling down, Kairo fires off his attack and eats the sword before it reaches him. Allowing him to move into an opening and target the statue's legs.
However, as Kairo approaches, the statue leaps into the air, causing Kairo's slash to whiff through the air. With the statue in the air, it holds its sword out to the side and lets it regenerate. As it fully rebuilds itself, it begins to fall down towards Kairo. But in a reaction, Kairo decides to quickly leap at it.
Their swords clash as the statue brings his sword down at Kairo. But Kairo uses his to parry it back within the same motion. With the statue's sword lifted into the air, Kairo fires off his ability for a second time. Immediately the statue spins backwards, causing the attack to miss. But while in motion, the statue takes its left foot and vertically kicks Kairo even higher into the air with force.
As Kairo went flying, he flew higher and higher into the sky. Blood is coughing from his mouth and drooling from his nose as his body processes the pain. But before he could catch a breath, his back slammed against an invisible barrier. Causing him to abruptly stop, his blood dripping from his face.
His eyes are struggling to stay open, but as he forces them back open for a moment, the statue appears before him, its blade ready to crush Kairo's body between it and the invisible barrier.
"S-Shit, I-I can't move." Kairo muttered as he struggled to pick up his arms.
The top of the statue's blade got closer to Kairo as he continued to struggle. However, as Kairo's eyes start to shut, a sudden scream rages through his mind again. Pushing his body to do things even if it's not possible.
"Fight! Respond and fight!" A chilling voice breezes through Kairo's head, forcing him to open his eyes and notice the entire world began to move in slow motion.
The statue is still on its way to crush him to death, his friends watching from below and shouting in slowed voices.
"You can't be the one if you don't fight!" The chilling voice speaks again as Kairo's arms move themselves and hold his blade towards the statues.
"I refuse to not fight! I refuse... TO NOT DEVOUR!" The voice starts screaming as Kairo's blade starts erupting in the purple and black soul energy.
"SCREAM MY NAME, SCREAM MY POWER!"
Kairo's blood drooled down his face as his eyes sharpened, his feet pressed against the invisible barrier as he held his sword back with it radiating.
"THAT'S IT, SCREAM IT!" The voice screams as Kairo begins swinging his arms in a ferocious motion.
"SOTO... ITA!" Kairo screams!
Unleashing an even bigger attack from his blade. The purple and black soul energy forming out of a jaw into an almost chain blade shape as it revved in motion as he slashed it through the sword statues blade, and body. This time not only consuming the blade, but also delivering a powerful strike to defeat the statue itself.
