James: This will all be over very easily for you if you tell me what I want to know
The Man in the silver Trims, un-phased by James's Threats begins to chant a spell
The Man:Vocate Aqua draconis!
As he finishes saying the incantation, The man in Silver Trims uses his magic to summon a huge water dragon. It has no wings and resembles the shape of a serpent more than a Dragon. He looks exhausted from summoning it.
The Man: You Fool! You're gonna die here!
James jumps up into the sky and hovers there as he looks down at the man and his dragon. His eyes show seriousness now. Just as the Water Dragon leaps up into the sky towards James, He unsheathes his sword from its cover on his back and at superhuman speeds, slices through the dragon. The man looks at the sword in that instant
The Man: Darkened blade…. That means you're the….
James swirls around and cuts his legs while landing spectacularly. The man screams in pain but it cannot be heard by anyone in this empty land. In pain, The man takes a good look at the sword. Its Blade is not made from normal steel but from Obsidian and It appears to be covered in runes. Before uttering another word, Melaich comes to the scene, touches the man's forehead, and starts to gain information from the man while putting the man in a comatose state.
Melaich: How many times do I have to tell you to
James and Melaich : (In sync) Not to hurt your the people we need information from
James: Or it gets too difficult to read their minds. I know but did you see what he did? He used a water dragon
Melaich's eyes glow white slightly and goes back to normal
Melaich: (sigh) I'm done
Melaich stands up from kneeling
James: So, what do we got?
James and Melaich start walking into the cave and discuss as they walk inside the cave
Melaich: Seems to be more of a Militant cult. The leader of the group has a name, Varka. No known last names, No known Aliases. No one has seen his face. The group seems to believe in demons and such. Very broad beliefs
James: What's their connection with The Arcanium?
Just then they reach a part of the glowing cave that looks to be carved into a room. There are huge wooden crates lined there filled with glowing rocks. There also seemed to be 4 Silver Robed Demon Parade members. They notice both of them come in.
James: We'll talk later
Melaich looks at James and keeps his hand on James's shoulder.
Melaich: Remember, Be subtle.
The 4 men split into 2 groups and took on each of the 2 intruders. Melaich charges at one of them and using his Magic Treasure, See All, takes control of that one. And using that man's ability, the air ability, fights the other man who uses earth magic to pull a rock in front to shield himself
As for James, when the other 2 members of the Demon Parade charge toward him, he unsheathes his sword. He takes a fighting position,
James: Ah, Let's do this
He first leaps towards the Parade members in front of him. The man uses fire magic to blind James momentarily. James shields himself using his hands and jumps into where the man was, only to roll down the ground. He turned his head. He saw the man had ducked and was crouching.
The other member in front of him takes his opportunity to charge at James and catches him off guard. The other member pushes James and pins him to the ground. Then, Using his gravity magic, thrusts James deep into the ground, making a deep hole at that place.
The man who was crouching got up by taking the other member's hand and as he was helping him up, the other member said,
Member 2: Damm. How'd they get through our defenses outside? Wasn't the Other guy outside to guard us?
Member 1: Dammit man, I don't know! Let's make sure this guy is dead and kill the other guy, fast
The other member looks down at the hole.
Member 2: It looks deep, He's probably dea-
Just then, James's sword flies up from the depths of the hole and pierces the other member's head. The sword then gets stuck on the roof of that room, it slightly glints with James's Energy as the other Member falls into the hole. The first member looks shocked.
James jumps out of the hole with blue energy emanating from his shoes. His white shirt underneath his leather armour is stained with a few drops of blood. He looks at the first member and says in a sarcastic tone,
James: (Out of breath) Dead?
Then, James speeds in front of the man and the man looks very scared.
Man: Radius Lucis
The man uses his fire magic to gain distance from James and fires a beam of fire toward James using both his hands. James gets thrown into a bunch of crates, breaking them on impact.
While James was fighting, Melaich too was fighting his own battles. He tried to take control of one of the Demon Parade members to fight but due to the lack of physical contact with him, Melaich had to let go control of the man's body and hide.
Melaich: Fuuucckkk
Melaich: Okay, there's no other choice, time to use this.
Melaich jumps out of hiding in front of the two and holds his right arm out while holding his right arm with his left hand. He snaps using his right hand in front of the two. A shockwave releases from his hand and pushes the two to the walls of the room
The two hit their head and fall and Melaich falls to his knees, he looks very weak and starts to sweat. One of the two gets up and Melaich looks up at him, panting,
Melaich: Do you… want… more?
The man looks confused and comes towards Melaich
Man: (Mind Voice) Thats... Gravity Magic. Who in hell am I fighting?
The Man launches himself towards Melaich
Man: Wall of Iron!
Melaich gets in his stance again and snaps. This time, he kills the man as he hits his head on the wall. Melaich is knocked back from the recoil and lands on his back and pants.
Back in James's battle, James tries to stand up and in that moment, the Man in front gets ready to fire the beam again but this time when the man uses the beam,
James: Radius Lucis!
James creates his own beam of energy, counteracting the fire beam.
Man: How is this possible!? This is Fire magic technique! How are you able to use it?
James stands up, calm and collected. His face shows no mercy nor remorse.
James: That's my magic. My magic allows me to use any other magic techniques if needed.
Before the man could react, James uses his magic to dash in front of the man and slam him into the rock hard ground, rendering him unconscious. James puts his hands down and keeps his gear in check by pulling the sword from the roof.
James: Well now, Where's that idiot?
James then looks around to find Melaich and sees him on his back, on the ground. He doesn't run towards him. Instead, he casually walks toward Melaich and asks,
James: Yo! Are you alive?
Melaich: (panting) Barely, using my magic affinity takes a lot from me
James helps Melaich up,
Melaich: Didn't I tell you to be subtle?
James: I was Subtle
Melaich: There's a giant hole in the ground….
James: It wasn't my fault. Besides, I got pushed INTO the hole
Melaich: (cough) Yeah, right
James and Melaich walk towards a tunnel leading from the room.
As they walk in the tunnel, they get to an exit and as they look through the exit, their eyes start to hurt from a small source of red light. They adjust their eyes and see a huge cave, surrounded by mostly glowing rocks, and at the centre, they both see a red gem about 5 feet from the ground.
The bottom of the gem is held by a conical protrusion of glowing rocks. The protrusion and other places are guarded by 3 people who seem to have both weapon and Magic affinities. Tents are set up on the corners of the cave with wooden sticks and cloth as The Demon Parade members walk around the cave
James: So, they found the gem. Why not take it then?
Melaich: They can't touch it, if they try to, then they're burned. And besides, their boss is the only one who can touch it apparently
James: The Boss huh. Seems shady that he's the only one who can touch it. What is he? special?
Melaich: I don't know. But it's better to be careful so, don't touch the gem until we know what to do
James: Anything for the reward, Haha (fake laugh)
James goes back to viewing through the binoculars. He takes a closer look. James notes to himself that the Demon Parade was experimenting and researching the glowing rocks inside the tents and that there are three hidden archers on top of the cave, in the shadows.
James: Alright, listen up. The plan is very simple.
A few minutes later, James jumps out of the entrance, into the air, almost hitting the ceiling, and shouts,
James: Hey! Up here!
The Archers aim at James and the Soldiers look up at James, ready to fight. James then smiles and as he's falling to the ground, makes three slashes with his energy which fly and hit the three guarding the Gem. James softens his landing by blasting air-like energy toward the ground and shouts,
James: Now Melaich!
One of the 3 Archers above who were aiming at James suddenly shot 2 arrows into the 2 other Archers in quick succession. Then the archer jumps down and James catches the Archer mid-air and places them on the ground. James then realises that the archer is a good-looking woman.
Archer:(Female voice) What?
James: (Sarcastically) Nothing
Melaich, in the Archer's body, looks disappointed and points towards the Demon Parade members who were charging them.
Archer (Melaich): Uhh… they're charging towards us.
James: Oh right!
James runs towards the Gem and shouts,
James: Don't let them come near me!
James runs towards the Gem. He takes his obsidian sword and swings it on the top and bottom protrusion. The Gem with some glowing rocks stuck on its top and bottom sides falls to the ground. James carefully picks it up using the glowing rocks. He looks at it closely and sees red eyes made from dark mist inside the gem. He snaps out of its trance immediately stashes the gem in a cloth pouch and places it on the side of his belt.
James looks back and sees that the Archer's body is being mortally wounded and that some others are coming towards him, firing magic and readying their weapons. James jumps and flies towards the way he jumped from. James lands and sees Melaich, waiting for him, ready to run
Melaich: Got it?
James: Yeah! Let's run now!
James and Melaich run back towards the cave exit. Dodging the magic blasts James throws magic blasts back at the members who were following them. James and Melaich see the night sky getting closer and closer. James clasps his hands together as he's running and his hands glow with energy. James's arms course with energy and they all flow into the clasped hands. He opens his hands and a ball of condensed energy is there. As they leave the cave, James turns around and shoots the ball of energy at the people following them.
James: Duck!
James picks up Melaich and jumps into the sky and the cave blows up and collapses. James is flying into the sky when his energy runs out. James and Melaich fall from a height of 1200 Metres from the ground. James and Melaich are panicking as they fall
Melaich: (Screaming) Why did you start flying?!
James: (Screaming) It seemed like a good idea at that time!
Melaich notices a lake
Melaich: James! Let's try to land in that lake!
James tries to swim toward the lake in the air but, It doesn't look practical. Melaich looks at his hands, thinking of an idea
As they both fall, Melaich holds James's hand using his left hand. James rebels
Melaich: What are you doing?
James: You won't make it like that! I have a better idea! Trust me
Melaich focuses his magic on his right hand. Just 100 Metres before they hit the ground, Melaich releases his gravity magic by snapping his right hand, propelling James and himself farther sideways from the ground, to the nearby lake.
James and Melaich fall into the lake. James submerges into the deep and dark lake, with the only light coming from the moon. James's vision grows darker
The Red Gem in his pouch starts to glow more and more brightly.
