The next day – Saturday. Chung Tae-ho is still sick.
He's lying in bed, not getting up all day. Suddenly, someone called him. Without looking at who it was, Chung Tae-ho answered the phone, put it to his ear, and spoke.
• Hello.
• Didn't expect you to answer.
The man on the phone said.
Chung Tae-ho looked at who was calling.
"Damn!"
It said – Head of the Chung Group.
• What do you need?
Chung Tae-ho asked in a rough, hoarse voice.
• Aren't you even going to say hello to your dear father?
The Head of the Chung Group asked.
• Guess so. Now, speak. What do you need?
• Maybe you could tell me how long you plan on avoiding publicity about being the heir of the Chung Group?
The Head of the Chung Group spoke in a serious tone.
• As long as I want.
With that, Chung Tae-ho hung up the phone.
• That old man!!
He turned to face the wall.
"Ha-a-a."
Chung Tae-ho closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Three years ago.
Chung Tae-ho began studying in middle school. He was introduced as the only son of Chung Chi-hun, the Head of the Chung Group.
And right away, he made a best friend, Lee Jun-se.
One day, when Chung Tae-ho was looking for his friend, he overheard Lee Jun-se talking with other friends about him.
• Lee Jun-se, why are you friends with Chung Tae-ho?
Someone asked him.
• It's simple, because of his family. He's the only son of the Head of the Chung Group, one of the wealthiest groups in Korea.
Lee Jun-se replied without hesitation, as if from the beginning, he had been friends with Chung Tae-ho because of who he was as the son of the Head of the Chung Group.
"Yeah, how dare he say that about me?! He thinks because I've been so good to him, I'll always be nice? Ha! Let's see how you'll speak after I tell everyone about your family, Lee Jun-se."
Angry, Chung Tae-ho stood there thinking about how he would get revenge on Lee Jun-se for all his words.
After hearing this, he stopped being the person he used to be. Chung Tae-ho said he no longer wanted anyone to know who he really was.
Since then, he had changed. Chung Tae-ho became colder, more sarcastic, and completely different. He even purposely moved to an apartment in the Gangnam district to live farther from the Head of the Chung Group.
As long as no one else knew who he was.
This is what he dreamed about, but after that, he immediately thought of Kim So-hee... and of course, not just her, but also Ho Su-min and Pak Nuri.
"Why did she come to my mind first? I can't stand her. And yet, she's the first one I think of... What's going on..."
Chung Tae-ho thought to himself.
He got up and went to the kitchen, opened the cupboard where the ramen was. The one Kim So-hee had brought him yesterday.
And immediately, the image of Kim So-hee appeared before his eyes. She was standing breathlessly in front of him holding a bag.
"Right! Stop! What am I thinking? Maybe it's the fever messing with my head. But still, I'm grateful to her. This was the first time someone brought me something for a fever or sore throat. Whatever it was, it doesn't matter."
Chung Tae-ho thought about it.
This is how his day ended.
