Aliana entered the room again and looked at Luz, who was still unconscious. But she noticed something different: she saw that her eyes were moving rapidly behind her eyelids, and even though Aliana shook her shoulder in search of a reaction, Luz remained unconscious.
Shortly after, Roxi arrived for her first visit of the day. She noticed the same thing as Aliana and commented that the creature was probably dreaming more intensely, which she considered a good sign and positive progress. Although she didn't want to give the teenager false hope, she told her that they still had to pray to the goddess Selene to wake her up. Her healing magic helped to heal some of her wounds, but it wasn't enough. After all, the damage caused by the Alpha was brutal.
The next morning, the Alpha's sister carried out her daily routine of the last three days. She got up, washed, and went to have breakfast in the unconscious young woman's room. While she was eating, she noticed that Luz's body began to move slowly, showing small muscle spasms in her hands and feet.
"Quick, call Roxi!" she said to the Omega who brought breakfast.
Shortly after, the healer entered and saw that Aliana was agitated due to the sudden change in her charge's condition.
"Look, she's moving!" she said, pointing to Luz's hands and feet, which were moving weakly.
Roxi approached the young woman and took her pulse. She passed the palms of her hands over the young woman, infusing her weak body with healing magic. As she did so, she felt something different.
A half-smile lit up the healer's face. "She's healing!" With her hands still on the young woman, Roxi spoke almost in a whisper, as if trying to convince herself. "I think she'll wake up today."
Aliana's eyes sparkled with happiness and she stood expectantly by the bed, watching the girl.
Five hours later, Luz finally opened her beautiful green eyes. She felt that her whole body ached and that her mouth and throat were burning from dehydration.
The first thing she saw were a pair of curious eyes staring at her. They were two different colors, one blue and one brown. It was a young girl, no more than fifteen years old, with black hair adorned by a white streak that stood out from her forehead and was tucked behind her ears. She was a beautiful girl.
"Here, drink, you must be thirsty." Aliana took the girl's head very gently and placed a glass of water to Luz's dry lips so she could hydrate. She drank so quickly that she coughed from time to time, while she continued to eagerly drink the precious liquid. Once satisfied, she lay back down on the pillow.
Still confused, Luz looked around at the unfamiliar place. She was lying on a comfortable bed, dressed in a light white nightgown. The room was completely lit by the sun's rays coming in through the balcony. The fine white wood furniture was painted with exquisite gold lines that looked like gold. Every detail in the room was beautiful.
She looked back at the two-colored eyes and asked, confused.
"Who are you and where am I?"
She wasn't sure if this was real or just a bad dream.
"Don't worry," Aliana replied. "You're in a safe place. You were badly injured, and we had to treat your wounds."
"Badly hurt?" An avalanche of memories of torturous events flooded her mind, causing her pupils to dilate completely as a rush of adrenaline coursed through her body.
"Where am I?" she asked nervously as she struggled to get out of bed. "I have to go. I don't want those horrible people to find me again. My family must be worried."
His face was no longer swollen or bruised thanks to Roxi's healing magic, but he still had some redness in his right eye that would soon disappear.
Seeing this scene, the quinceañera felt compassion. Although she was very young, she could easily empathize; she was a mature girl, forged by facing difficult situations since, at her young age, she had to live through them several times in her pack.
"What's your name?" Aliana asked before responding to the young woman.
"My name is Luz. Who are you?"
"I am Aliana Atzar, sister of Alpha Caspian of the Blue Moon pack."
Luz blinked several times and repeated with a look of astonishment:
"Sister! Alpha! Pack!" She moved her fingers nervously over her lips with a frown. She didn't understand anything. In her mind, she analyzed where she might be. The teenager's accent was strange, and she couldn't identify it as Chilean, Argentinean, Peruvian, Colombian, or any other Latin American accent. She was still confused and asked again.
"Where am I?"
"In the Blue Moon pack."
"But in what city?" Luz insisted.
"What?" Aliana asked.
Luz closed her eyes, took a deep breath with a degree of impatience, and repeated her question, modifying it slightly.
"What city or region are we in?"
"Our pack is in the western part of Siripio."
"Siripio?" Luz was surprised and still didn't understand. She had never heard of this place.
Aliana added, "Siripio on the Omega continent. Where else could we be?"
Luz opened her eyes wide, finding it hard to believe. She looked at Aliana's clothing, which was a mixture of medieval and modern styles. Her dress had three-quarter sleeves and her skirt reached her ankles, giving her the appearance of a character from a book. Everything around her looked similar to what she knew, but at the same time different. For a moment, she thought they were playing a trick on her and that it was all a bad joke.
"So, what world are we in?" Luz asked.
"We're on the planet Xirus."
"Are you kidding me?" Luz said incredulously as a nervous laugh escaped her lips.
"Joke? What are you talking about? It looks like the blow to the head affected your memory," Aliana began to get really worried.
"Well, I don't know how I got here, but I was in the forest trying to help a puppy, and then I found myself here."
"Of course," Aliana continued. 'You helped me free my paw from that silver trap."
"Your paw? What are you talking about? You're not a dog.' Luz was definitely confused and kept repeating to herself, 'This is a bad dream,' and whispered, 'Wake up, Luz, wake up!"
"But it was my wolf you saw,' Aliana replied.
Luz was even more confused. She still didn't understand anything and just wanted to leave that place.
"I want to go home. Please help me," Luz begged.
Seeing Luz so disoriented, Aliana realized that the young woman had no idea she was a shapeshifter, which was why she didn't understand that Aliana had helped her when she was defenseless in the forest, trapped in the trap.
