"I look better than I expected in this."
I'm currently standing above ground with a thin ice wall reflecting my image. The brown hide of the elk really stood out compared to my mostly white surroundings. When near trees or other things it's a lot less noticeable. With my white hair I can blend in pretty well with the environment as well.
"I never realized my eyes are yellow. Which is weird because I've had the chance to look at my eyes multiple times. They stand out quite a bit though. Well, at least they suit me."
I continue to look at my reflection for a little longer before looking away. Now that I have some clothes I want to make some new weapons. The weapons I want to make aren't like the sharp bones which were my first weapons. I had originally planned to go back to get my bowl, but I decided to just make a new one.
Since my abilities are mainly limited by my imagination and mental energy I can really make whatever I want. Something I've noticed is that eating the leaves from the bush strengthens my brain and physical body. More so my brain than body. The effect is very small and hard to notice though.
'I want to make something like a spear. Although I can't really throw anything for now, I'll learn how to when I can. The range it has will also be helpful when fending off something like wolves. Not the best weapon if they get close, but I still have these guys to fill in any short ends.'
The Lower Winter Sprites figuratively nod in response.
'I can make a spear purely out of ice, but that will take a lot out of me. Especially if I want it to last a while. So I need to find a big stick to use. Thankfully I still have the stick I brought back a while ago. I'll just carve out a small section on one of the ends to form an ice spear tip. Carving out a rock will be too difficult, hence why I'll just use my powers.
I can also cover everything in frost to make it stronger. Then again that will take quite a bit of energy out of me. I still have around half of that elk left. I also have it's horns. Not sure what I'll do with them yet. Now that I think about it I do need some protection for my arms. Not sure if I'll be able to use the horns for that since they are rather curved.'
I sigh to myself. At this point it's a bit past noon. With my use of my abilities I feel a little. I eat some more of the elk before going down into my home. I gather all the resources I have around and think about what I can do with them.
'While wrapping the ice tip in more ice and frost will do the trick, perhaps putting some mud around it to help secure it will be better. Of course I'll still freeze it after. Actually won't the ice all around it make it harder to get a good grip? I'm sure some mud will fix that problem as well. These horns though..'
I smile as a good idea pops up in my head. I set the horns aside as I plan to get the rest of the bones from the elk later. For now I form a plan in my head as I rest my body. After around 20 minutes I start making a spear.
First I grab the big stick and a sharp stone. I use the sharp stone to split the end of the big stick. After splitting it I concentrate and form an ice spear head in the split. Since I need it to be strong I spend around 5 minutes carefully guiding the Lower Winter Sprites. By the time I finish my forehead is covered in a bit of sweat and a mild pounding sensation is felt in my head. The spear head is just slightly bigger than the end of the stick.
"Now that I think about it, couldn't I have just connected the spear head around the stick with ice? I could've used spikes to hold it in place. Well I can just extend the bottom of the spear head into the stick now. Which is a lot harder since I need the ice to go through the wood. Ugh."
I groan as I realize I could have done this better. I rest for a bit before continuing to secure the spear head into the stick. After that I decide not to help secure it in with mud. I make sure it's sharp enough by going out to cut some tree bark. After a couple minutes I'm satisfied with what I see.
It can slice half an inch into the tree before stopping. The edge doesn't get affected much either. Getting it out of the tree was a bit more problematic. When stabbing it goes a bit less than an inch in. The spear head is 4 inches long and half as wide. Not the biggest but it is very sharp and durable.
'Not that bad considering how hard this wood is. I'm sorry for the trees, but testing my spear on stone isn't a very good idea. The spear is around 4'10. Which is taller than me since I'm 4'6….'
I sigh to myself as I look up at the sky, which is barely visible due to the trees.
"Why do I have to be a child? Being short is troublesome. Thankfully my body is quite strong compared to my size.'
I shake my head and head back down into my home. I go down and prepare myself mentally for the frosting of my weapon.
"I can do this, I just need to concentrate for 12 minutes. Not too difficult. Besides, its not like I'm doing this alone."
I look at the Lower Winter Sprites who encourage me.
