Chapter 516 - Chapter 516: The Death of Moon Knight

Robert was intrigued by the peculiar traits of this vampire species. He realized these vulnerabilities weren't exclusive to this particular lineage of vampires. From the exchanges between Blade and March, it was evident that Blade originally dealt with the American vampires. Despite their different origins, Blade's methods worked effectively against March and his underlings. This suggested that the true source of their powers might share a common essence.

"Jarvis, record this battle and send it to Tony and Morbius..." Robert said, retrieving the Jarvis subsystem Tony Stark had given him from his battle suit. He began recording the ongoing battle.

Of course, his primary focus was on the fight between March and Blade, rather than the one between Moon Knight and Nell. After all, the Avengers included a vampire in their ranks. Even though Robert believed Morbius might differ from these vampires, it was wise to be cautious to prevent any hidden conspiracies, similar to what happened with Peter Parker.

Peter Parker's incident was fortuitous, happening upon Richard Parker while pursuing the Shadow Soldiers. Although he didn't inform the Avengers immediately, it allowed them to prepare, with Jarvis alerting them promptly. However, any conspiracy involving Morbius might be harder to detect, especially considering the number of hidden vampires in this world, which could pose a greater threat than Noxus's schemes.

"What will you do with that werewolf?" Kara asked softly, watching the two battles and noticing the trembling werewolf Ann hiding near a tree. Ann seemed torn between hiding and fearing Robert might think he was escaping.

To Kara, Ann was just an ordinary werewolf with no significant strength. However, Robert hadn't killed Ann earlier, possibly for a specific reason.

"Oh, he provided me with valuable information, which was somewhat useful. If he hadn't played tricks on that father and son, and if he didn't reek of blood, I might have spared him..." Robert replied, shaking his head slightly while watching Ann, who, despite his large frame, cowered in fear. "But he's only acting submissive because he's afraid of my power. So, to thank him for the information, I'll give him a quick death."

As Robert finished speaking, a Ki blast formed into a sphere, hovering in the air. This sudden surge of energy drew everyone's attention, even causing the battle between March and Blade to pause momentarily. Both sides felt a sense of danger from the energy emanating from the sphere.

It wasn't just the sense of danger that halted the fight; it was also the uncertainty about Robert and Kara's intentions. Blade, in particular, had been less focused on them due to his urgency to fight, but now he had to be cautious, unsure if Robert might attack him to give March an advantage.

"What's going on? Why did the fighting stop?" Ann, the only one unaware of the Ki blast's presence, was confused as he noticed both battlefields suddenly halting. He followed everyone's gaze and looked behind him.

"No!" Ann barely had time to react before a white light engulfed him. He let out a pained cry, and his body exploded, leaving nothing behind. He didn't even have time to understand it was Robert who killed him.

"Damn! You killed him?!" Nell, seeing Ann's death, was filled with rage. Despite being angry at Ann earlier, Ann was still his kin. Watching him die before his eyes ignited a fury within Nell.

Nell hadn't seen Robert's earlier display of power, so he didn't fully grasp Robert's strength. Even though the Ki blast was powerful, Nell wasn't intimidated. He doubted Robert could nullify the moonlight empowering him like Moon Knight did.

With a roar, Nell charged at Robert, ready to vent his anger and frustration from being suppressed by Moon Knight.

"Swish!"

"Swish!"

"Swish!"

However, Moon Knight wasn't about to let Nell switch opponents. Despite knowing Robert and Nell weren't allies, Moon Knight was determined not to let his opponent go. Moon Knight's mission was clear: to deal with those stealing the Moon God's power. He had sensed this imperative as soon as Nell started drawing on the moonlight.

"Get out of my way!" Nell bellowed, finally losing patience. Even without the moonlight's power, he was still stronger than Moon Knight. He growled a warning, believing Moon Knight's increasing strength under the moonlight wouldn't matter.

"Swish!" Moon Knight ignored Nell's warning and continued his assault. He hadn't felt any real pressure from Nell before, believing Nell's threats were empty.

"Thud!" In a burst of anger, Nell's power exploded. His speed far exceeded Moon Knight's expectations. Despite the moonlight's boost, Moon Knight couldn't react in time as Nell pierced his heart.

With a heavy thud, Moon Knight's lifeless body fell to the ground, his blood pooling around him as his aura rapidly faded, signifying his life's end.

"Hmph! Even if there is a Moon God, let him come before me!" Nell spat, shaking the blood off his hands before turning his attention to Robert.

Nell didn't believe in the absoluteness of gods. The persistent provocations from Moon Knight had pushed him to his limit, leaving no room for tolerance.

"He's dead?" Robert was surprised. He hadn't expected Moon Knight to die so easily. Moon Knight had seemed formidable, suppressing Nell with his moonlight powers. Robert had assumed Moon Knight had a hidden trump card, like Blade's weapons against vampires.

But now Moon Knight lay dead, his life extinguished faster than Robert had anticipated. Even Robert's quick reaction couldn't save him. He had hoped to ask Moon Knight about the moonlight and the Moon God, but that clue was now lost.

"Swish!" As Robert pondered Moon Knight's death, a figure rushed towards him—Nell, still burning with rage over Ann's death, sought revenge.

"Bang!" Nell's rapid advance was abruptly halted as he was sent flying, crashing through numerous trees. A clear imprint of a fist was visible on his chest.

It wasn't Robert who struck but Kara. Seeing Robert in deep thought, and Nell foolishly charging at him, Kara swiftly intervened, sending Nell sprawling.

The impact stunned everyone, causing Blade and March's battle to pause. They began to slowly move their fight farther away, not out of fear but to avoid being caught in Kara's fight.

"What...?" Nell lay dazed, not realizing Kara had attacked him. He only had eyes for Robert and hadn't seen Robert move, leaving him bewildered until Kara hovered over him.

"Kara decided to intervene? Well, she did get roughed up in the last fight, so it's good for her to blow off some steam..." Robert thought, watching Kara engage Nell.

Nell's aura was strong, even stronger than March's. But his power was no match for Kara. Even Tony Stark could handle Nell alone, so Robert knew Nell wasn't a threat to Kara.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

Kara unleashed a barrage of punches on Nell, shaking the ground with each impact. Realizing the destructive power of her blows, she quickly adjusted, kicking Nell skyward and continuing her assault mid-air.

"Howl!" In mid-air, Nell tried to gather himself, a desperate howl summoning moonlight that bathed him, healing his injuries and stabilizing his aura. The moonlight's boost gave him a brief respite, lessening the severity of Kara's blows.
