Darren's POV
I could see a glint in her eye, but before I could glean any meaning, it vanished. She shook my hand softly, holding it far longer than I expected and a small grin formed on the corner of her lip.
"So what brings you to this part of London? Work? Leisure? Mystery? I'm all ears."
I glanced at my watch; the evening was slowly approaching as the sky darkened outside. I pulled out my phone sending a text to Adriana that I would be taking longer than expected. I waited a few minutes to see her reply, warning me not to flirt with any women while keeping her waiting.
It was a little joke, as she had no control over my adventurous nature and desire. I chuckled, tucking my phone back into my suit as I returned my gaze to Janet.
She had her left elbow on the table with her palm supporting her head. She looked cute and appealing, as her white teeth softly contrasted her chocolate skin.
