Darren's POV
In the morning, I packed my bags and laid them in a corner before ordering for breakfast.
Adriana was still fast asleep, owing to the exhaustion of yesterday. She looked calm and gentle, her blonde hair spread all over the pillow with some covering her face.
I ate quickly, took a shower and stood in front of the mirror in just my briefs. My mind lay bare, my hands working on autopilot as I caressed my braided hair.
"Hey."
Adriana's sleepy voice filtered into my ears. I turned around to see her struggling to stand, as she steadied herself with her hands on the wall.
"Are you sure you should be up right now? You had a long day yesterday."
"Pffft. It's fine. You're leaving soon, right?"
I nodded, grabbing my trousers from the wardrobe. I pulled the trousers over my legs before walking towards Adriana.
"More reason why I should be awake. You know I'd throw a fit if you left without me sending you off."
