Chapter 12 - Chapter 3: Part four

-Thomas-

The waking ripples of the water, and the cooling breeze of home, that is what I feel right now. Laying down in the grasses infront of the house complex, I began to think of things that have recently happened in my life. First, how did I even begin to experience the fight I did with the thing called the King of Curses.

I clinched my fist as I remembered my involvement in the battle. The waking waters washing over my back, I thought on what was to come. 'The goodwill event, how am I gonna prepare for that?' I thought as I got out of the lakes and decided to go down to the bar and was dressed in my finest serving gear.

I had a white button up shirt, a black vest and pants with my hair combed neatly back and held in place with a modest amount of gel. My heart shined with care and love as I got downstairs and began to pour a drink for myself. While I was not one to be overly fond of drinks, I didn't mind drinking every so often.

As a plus, these drinks also helped with various things like enhancing training and cell activity and the like. The drink was also non=alcoholic and was pretty delicious as it tasted like the most premium of grapes with the sweetest taste. The color was of a crimson red and it had a glow that almost seemed divine in nature.

As I was sitting there in the bar, drinking my drink, the door seemed to open an in walked in a strange looking crowd, stranger than the ones I get usually. The first thing I noticed was the fact that they had horns on their head, some had two, some one, some had black horns, and some had white, and some were thin or thick.

Next was the attire they wore, which resembled that of classical Japan, particularly the samurai period. It was quite odd and one thought within my mind was 'Oni? The horns fit and all but to be sure' I thought as I greeted the guest warmly and calmly explained the nature of my establishment to them.

"Another world huh? The world seems to get stranger" said the old man who sat down at the table as his sword was strapped to his waste by a ribbon. The others followed the old mans example and sat down. "So, what do you got to drink here?" the old man asked me as I presented my enchanted liquors and such.

The ogre seemed fascinated at the appeal of them and ordered some, which he drank happily. The amount of mystical force I could feel from him was slightly agitated and grew ever so slightly. "So, do you guys have a name?" I asked them as they shook their heads indicating they did not.

"Huh, that sounds inconvenient. Hey, how about I give you guys some names" I offered as they look to me in shock. "Are you sure?" asked the one with cherry blossom hair who wore an attire that was not too different from the Miko of japan. "I don't see why not" I said as I now had to look at them to decide names for them.

Seeing their hair, age, and even general characteristics, particularly the large one with a wooden hammer that more or less fit the stereotype, I had names in mind. I pointed at the red one and said "Benimaru(Red circle)" I uttered as I found that what magical energy was sin my body dipped below and flew towards him.

I named them and the more I named, the more I had to produce magical energy in order to fuel what seems to be a magical spell in of itself, a tiny ritual that seems to be connected to the self and its potential. How did I know that? It was a seemingly gut feeling from my got as the source within me seemed to nudge my thoughts in this direction.

I felt somewhat fatigued after naming them, even though it was more mental than physical. "Wooo, that took alot out of me" I said as I watched them evolve before my very eyes, covered in cocoons of magical energy as I felt their existence fluctuate before me. it was a nice thing to watch. It also had an odd feeling to it as it was something I never seen before.

As the cocoons dispersed, all I saw was in innate improvement in both their physical form and their mystical force also was more refined in nature. I feel that there was something more to them now, as if their existence was seemingly solidified in many ways, not even counting their own mystical force.

"Ahh, haven't felt refreshed like that in ages" said the old ogre, who now has the name of Hakuro. It was a name that just came to me, and I had a feeling I heard it somewhere in my past life. 'Was it one of my classes?' I thought to myself. As I looked at them, the changes I saw were quite noticeable if you knew what they looked like before.

Hakuro became somewhat of a dignified old man in his fifties, with the aura of being gracefully aged. Benimari became more of a young man who had a dignified appearance. Shuna's innate beauty was already refined before, but now she looked absolutely radiant in its cherry blossom look. Kurobe didn't look much different, but he was more of a middle aged man with a rugged appearance.

Shuna on the other hand had turned into a bombshell. She had some rough beauty before, but I felt her transformation made her look even more beautiful. Her outfit though, seemed to elicit a cry for help as her chest was straining against it. She seemed happy and she seemed full of energy, which seemed extremely plausible after all.

"I feel different" said Shuna as she looked at herself, analyzing and admiring the changes within her form. Shion also seemed excited as well and her slender hands seemed to contrast with the choice of weapon she had at her side. Then there was the stealthy one, Soei. He was a ninja of sorts if his attire was anything to go by and his looks also became very refined and could be described as 'Stealthy beauty'.

"Okay, what was that?" I asked them as Shuna was the one to explain, and it seemingly fit her look as an oracle of sorts. "So, monsters can evolve if named by someone with the sufficient mana reserves?" I asked them to clarify as they nodded. "Of course, but naming is also an act of closeness if you want to think about it, as you are essentially sharing power with another monster" said Shuna as she sat down and began drinking green tea with a stem that was standing straight as an arrow.

"An act of closeness huh" I said as I took another drink, and then began serving the ogres, as I found out, well now Kijin, some acohol with mystical properties. I seem to be saying it a lot more than I usually do. As I was talking with them, I was able to learn some more information about their world. It was a somewhat standard fantasy world, besides some few editions that were somewhat odd.

Skills, elemental spirits, and monsters that could evolve was something I haven't seen since Pokemon when I was little. I think there was another show with an evolution mechanic, I think its name was digimon but I never watched it, and I barely watched Pokemon beyond a certain point but did read up on its lore.

Other customers began to flow in, including my more divine customers Poseidon and Shiva. I could feel my newest customers tense up. "Poseidon, Shiva! Welcome" I said to them as they sat down next to the kijin. I could feel their fear from here. Even if their aura was concealed, the mere presence of the gods could induce something in a human.

"Who are these people?" asked Hakuro quietly. "They are gods, essentially people with control over aspects of nature" I whispered to them as they seemingly understood. "So like a true dragon?" asked Shuna as I looked at her as they explained in depth of what it was. True dragons were beings above others and were essentially deities in their own right and could naturally control a portion of the world.

"Huh, neat" I said outloud as I served everyone drinks. Poseidon wanted some stronger liquor today, and we were exchanging info about our lives at this point. "So, you have to train for an event your apart of?" he asked me as I nodded. "Huh, want me to train you?" he asked as I even saw Hakuro perk up. "Oh, an event you need training for! I would happily teach you my sword skills". Shuna also spoke up. "I can teach you what I know of magic!" she offered.

I felt moved by this and seeing as how impressive the Kijins mystical force was and how powerful Poseidon was and the fact he was the source of my blessing, I had made a decision. "I accept!" I declared as after the drinking was done, a plan was made as I needed to be ready by the end of September for the goodwill event.

'I wonder if I will meet some monsters on the other side?' I thought as the plans went under way.

[A/N: Another short chapter to round out the arc. Of course, the ogres from Tensura were introduced and thus will give us an in to the Tensura world in the future, essentially letting us maybe meet rimuru in the future. Of course, I will try to give the vault more play time in the next arc. Have a good day and enjoy!]
