'What the hell…'
Jack slowly came to a realization, the booming voice. These were not glowing orbs. They were eyes. The eyes of something abysmally large. He looked down. The hole illuminated with white glowing chains that seemed to wrap around an endless figure. The loud, booming voice laughed.
"Perhaps I am fooled…you are not here in flesh, so how do I see you then? Hm, curious. Perhaps…we may need some light."
The room was illuminated and Jack saw the full figure. A giant, green and silver scaled dragon.
"Who…what, are you?"
"We will meet soon, as it is fated to be. When you find me. We will be freed. All of us."
"…who is we?"
"My kin, of course…I sense you have a weak body. But a soul with endless power, and the same ambition as me, as us. Find me. Free me. And I will assist you in your goal, to destroy those wretched fools humanity calls angels!"
"Ah…I see. So you wish to stop it too? So it doesn't swallow endless worlds?"
"The incursion…it is a mere obstacle to the true threat. I can sense your soul has gone through endless torment. But it isn't even close to the enemy. The true enemy."
"What…? You can't be serious…"
Jack had to die hundreds of thousands of times to kill the heavenly king of destruction. He had no idea, a threat loomed behind him. It did nothing but enrage him.
"And why are you chained here, dragon?"
"…we will meet soon, Oracle. I swear it. On my body and soul. I will do anything to destroy those damn angels!"
The dragon started leaking a threatening aura. Although Jack wasn't even there physically. It almost choked him out in his sleep, this creature was beyond the power of his first attempt at life. Far beyond it.
"Ve…very well…"
The dragon laughed again.
"Then until the end of our lives, if you free me, I will serve eternally as long as those wretched angels die! I swear it on the name of—"
Jack was suddenly pulled out of his sleep.
"Agh…what? He didn't even get to say his name…"
Jack choked a bit, the dragons aura still had a grip on him. Even when he left the dream.
"Shit…I don't know if that would be a good or bad thing if I was really dreaming…and not some astral projection shit…"

"…that confirms it wasn't a dream…but this really isn't helpful. No location. No reward information. No nothing."
As Jack clenched his palm. He felt something in his hand. Rough and coarse. He opened his palm and saw what looked like a thick shard of green silvery metal. It was bigger than his entire hand by a bit. It was slick and thick.

'That's the first time it can't generate a description either. Maybe…maybe I can use it.'
Jack stood up.
'If I make some money from doing some odd jobs inside rifts, I could get enough to commission a famous blacksmith to fix up that sword using the shard. But…that would be a lot of money.'
