Gulping down, Noah nervously looked at the woman hanging to the ceiling in front of him. She, too, was looking at him but there was no nervousness in the way her eyes scanned him looking for a tender spot to bite. Noah was conscious of it—for each second they spent in silence, the closer their situation felt like a confrontation rather than a discussion.
He had to say something fast to ease up his tension. Something that would help him ignore the monstrous half of the one sizing him up.
"Erm… A… Actu…"
She narrowed her eyes. "If you can turn off the light and hug me, then I will listen to you…"
"(As expected…)"
Judge Schnee did warn him that Arachnea might want to play with both what he liked and what he feared. Why else would she appear in that grotesque form totally unnatural for those of her species?
