Moon declined the opportunity for the celebrations and moved it to another day when they had settled. And that move made the patriarch fond of her more and even more respectful.
After discussing that matter, the patriarch finally brought her to the cave that they had prepared in case the new priest came. Thankfully, the cave wasn't going to be wasted. So, Moon was brought there.
Since it was getting late, the two couldn't chat for a long time and Moon also wanted to escape the patriarch and get some fresh air.
Since Moon hadn't picked any servants to serve her, when she got to the cave, she was by herself, which worked pretty well for her. Since what she planned to do didn't need any audience.
However, the patriarch informed her that he would have someone call for her when the food was cooked.
Although she didn't look forward to the food, she still agreed. After all, judging without seeing wasn't good. She would judge after seeing.
After the patriarch left, Moon looked at the cave, which had some sunlight and smelled better than the previous cave she was in.
The cave was nearly empty, but thanks to the stone stools and animal hides spread on the floor, it looked a bit more presentable. However, there was a stench in the cave, which was probably caused by the hides themselves.
When she picked the hides, she frowned upon seeing the meat, which wasn't fully scraped before the hides were dried.
The hides were also hard. They mustn't know the method of softening the hides, which was a pity. Anyway, now that she was here, there were so many opportunities to earn merit points and leave everyone in awe.
The cave had two entrances with one of them leading to the cave, and the other one in the compartment, which was the bedroom. In the bedroom, there was a bed made of hay and on top several animal hides which she assumed to be blankets.
Looking at those hard hides, Moon's face twitched as she thought how hard she was going to have it if she didn't get the priestess guide system earlier. Luckily, there was the marketplace, which would save her from all the trouble.
With the thought of buying some furniture and essentials for her new home, she sat down on the bed, which was a bit hard but still useable, and summoned the interface for some serious business.
However, before she could go to the marketplace, the system's voice rang in her ears.
[Ding! The priestess has successfully arrived at the tribe. The newbie gifts can now be issued. Please claim them!] and the system brought some good news.
When she heard that, her eyes lit up as she wasn't expecting that she would be getting something for free. She wasn't even looking forward to the newbie gifts. After all, if they were there, weren't they supposed to be given when the system bound to her earlier?
Nonetheless, what mattered was that the gifts were now here and they might be pretty much helpful to her at the moment. So, without any hesitation she claimed them.
It's just that she didn't expect that the system had a lot of surprises in store for her.
[Before you can claim your rewards, the priestess has one chance to change her name if she wants. Since so far, none of the aborigines know your name yet, you have that chance. If you don't want to use the chance, then you will continue to be called Moon in the future.]
She didn't expect that she could change her name for no apparent reason. However, this chance sounded too good and something that she would regret if she let go like that.
"My name previously wasn't even Moon, but because of the apocalypse, my love for the moon and stars, made me name myself Moon. As a result, the name stuck to me like glue, which is not that bad," she sighed as certain memories flooded her mind.
"Now that I have been given a new chance and a new life. I want to forget that life when I was Moon. It wasn't the proudest life I have lived in my three lives. So, I might as well change the name," with a mocking chuckle she added.
New beginnings deserve new things, and a new name wouldn't hurt.
"So, what should I call myself now?" she pondered loudly, as she scratched her chin thoughtfully.
There were a lot of beautiful names that she could choose from, but after going through them, names related to the moons and stars still attracted her. So, she focused on them for a while until she found a name that she felt was good and sounded unique; Kamaria.
In her original world, that name represented the moon or moonlight. The moon represents beauty, elegance and illumination.
In her eyes, she was beautiful, and she hoped to be elegant as she progressed and illuminate the world and make it a better place, though she wasn't perfect.
Confidence comes from having a strong sense of self-esteem. If she doesn't tell herself that, then who else would tell her?
That's why she opted for Kamaria in the end. The more she thought about it, the more she loved it.
So, after confirming her name, the system registered the name and the next step towards claiming the newbie gifts followed.
[Give the tribe a new name. The name shall follow the tribe for eternity!]
When that was issued, Kamaria's eyes lit up as this mission was simpler than the first. Without hesitation, she uttered a name; MoonStar tribe.
This time, she finally found a chance to bring the two things she loved together. Wasn't this a mission tailored just for her?
[Congratulations to the priestess for naming the tribe. You may now accept your newbie gifts.]
The melodious system's voice sounded, which made her eyes sparkle with happiness. She rubbed her hands in anticipation, curious about the good things that the system was willing to give her for free.
[You have been gifted with the priestess ceremonial robes, and staff.]
[You have been rewarded with the tribal altar.]
[You have been rewarded with a random skill – appraisal.]
[You have been rewarded with a mobile tree house (LV 0).]
[You have been rewarded with a sacred carriage (LV 0).]
[You can check the details for more information.]
After announcing the long list, the system went into hibernation once again, leaving Kamaria with her jaws on the ground, completely stunned and taken aback by the generosity of the system.
It took a while before the shock disappeared and she came back to her senses.
"Let's check what we have here!" she mumbled excitedly as she clicked on the rewards to check the details.
She started with the ceremonial robes and the staff. When she saw what was happening, her eyes squinted into crescents. They nearly disappeared from her face.
The robes had several layers. There was the innerwear which was pure white representing purity which she liked. In her mind, the Great God should be telling her that she was pure in his eyes. How could she not be touched?
There was the outer layer which was thicker than the innerwear and also white with moon and star designs drawn on it. Looking at that robe, she liked it so much. It was as if it was designed to match the concept of the tribe.
The last layer was the cloak, and it came in two colors. There was the white cloak and the red one. These cloaks both have the same designs as the outerwear.
The ceremonial robes were dirty, water, cold, wind and fireproof. She didn't need to worry about any disasters affecting them in the future.
Satisfied with the robes, she claimed them and stored them safely in the storage space before looking at the staff.
It was a delicate and well-crafted long wooden staff with a moon and star head. She didn't know what kind of material the head was made from, but it looked quite appealing. The staff had a brown pole and a golden head.
She would bling and slay while holding that.
She also noticed that while she could choose not to wear the robes all the time, the staff should always be glued to her. In other words, she was destined to never part with the staff. Suddenly she regretted receiving it.
After claiming it, she put it on her lap before checking the next gift; the tribal altar.
