"Dori? You say you're okay but you don't look fine. Tell me what's wrong?" Sofia's eyes flickered between mine as she slowly closed the distance between us like I was going to run off at any sudden sound.
"Um…" I swallowed as I scoured through my mind for a good reply. Just when I was about to say something I noticed a shadow stretching over me and without thinking I turned and my head slammed into a warm body.
I looked up to find Liam looking down at me with a worried look. "Are you okay?" He said and every bit of fear and unease coursing through me disappeared and was immediately replaced with rage.
I hadn't even gotten back at him for that nonsense he pulled earlier and now he was touching me again. Who knows…he might even be behind this stupid threat note and just feigning ignorance.
But then again…if he was behind this, how did he know and why hasn't he used this to blackmail me yet so we could call it even?
