Chapter 36 - Chapter 37

"I told you I had a target, nothing else," I insisted on my earlier story about that incident. He looked at me, skeptical about my reply. The fewer people that know around me, the better.

"If that's what you say, fine. But, one day, I'll find out the whole truth. You know I will," he insisted. I wondered why he hasn't investigated the truth of the matter on his own.

"If that's all, you can leave. I have work to do, unlike you," he stated, giving a blank look.

"Won't you at least offer me something to drink?" he said, his voice tinged with irritation. He was mad I had sent him out, but I was just tired and needed to finish my work and head home.

"You had all the time to serve yourself, but you chose to feed your curiosity. Now that it's satisfied, leave," I taunted. He understood what I meant and walked out of the room backwards.

"Don't call me; I'll be very busy," he announced, smirking. That statement could only mean one thing: he was about to chase skirts.
