The car entered the premises of a sleek black sky-scraper that reflected the street, buildings and vehicles on the opposite side. D'Amico Defense Arms was written on a huge signboard above the building, and the logo in the form of a stylishly written 'D' was engraved in the middle part of the building in golden colour.
"Is this the first time I'm here or have I come here before?" I asked, genuinely curious.
"First time. We were together not for too long before Rosario took you. So, I never had the chance to bring you to the USA."
I frowned at him.
"Where was I before this?"
The car stopped in a basement and he looked at me with a confused expression.
"He didn't even tell you that?" he asked.
"Tell me what?"
"Fuck. What did he tell you? That you were here in New York all these years?"
I nodded, confusion and curiosity taking over as I waited for him to speak.
