"How are you, Clara?" A baritone voice approached as someone walked into my room in the early morning. I blinked, checking to see who it was, and wasn't surprised to see a couple walk in with worried looks—Doctor Ryan Karl and Jenna.
"You? What are you doing here? How are you?" I asked, turning to Jenna, who looked much better, watching me with a look that struck me as annoyed and disappointed. "Jenna, I–"
"What made you do something stupid, huh? Is it because of Jayme? I told you, never sleep with just anyone! Especially when you're married." I covered my ears, unable to bear hearing Jenna's scolding. Did she forget that she also slept with a married man while she had a husband? "Or... was it Doctor Armando who hurt you?"
"No, Jenna. Please, stop. I'm sick, okay? Don't lecture me like you're perfect!"
"Okay, I'm not perfect, but I didn't expect you to be this stupid!"
