Chapter 18 - Dungeon Raid

The next day arrived.

Aziel woke up before sunrise and meditate before waking his roommates up.

After waking his roommates, they went into the cafeteria to grab food for breakfast and lunch, and discuss what dungeon would they raid for the first time before going into one.

However, when the three of them were discussing what dungeon to raid. They were forgetting something crucial for the raiding of dungeons, and that is the knowledge of the dungeon itself which was reminded to them by Rocky.

"You're right! How can I forget that! If it wasn't for you Rocky, we were like blind men going into a dark cave." Jake smacked his forehead.

"Yeah, you're right. I also forgot that one crucial thing as well, hahaha. Thank you Rocky, you're a life saver." Aziel added.

These compliments given to him by his friends made his face reddened as he wasn't used in getting one.

"So, what do you guys think of going into the library first to learn what are the things that we need to learn, then go into the dungeon after?" Rocky asked, inviting his two friends into his most favorite place in the Academy.

"I don't know, sounds boring to me." Jake responded, shrugging his shoulders.

"Don't be like that man. It was necessary for us to go there, you don't think of relying everything unto Rocky right?" Aziel criticized Jake's response.

"Let's go there after eating. Is that okay Rocky?" Aziel added turning his face towards Rocky.

"Yes. I'll be happy to show you the most beautiful place in the Academy." Rocky replied with a smile.

After they finished eating and grabbed lunch for dungeon raid, they went into the library.

When Aziel and Jake got inside the library for the first time, they were amazed by how spacious the interior is. The interior of the library is different from their classrooms, as it was like a lounge but connected to the higher floors. And everywhere you look, you'll see a book.

"Woah! I've never seen so many books in my life!" Jake noticed the massive numbers of books inside.

"Likewise man! It was actually my first time coming here as well." Aziel replied turning his gaze from left to right, up and down trying to assess how many books were there.

"Isn't it beautiful? Just imagine how many knowledge you can learn from these many books." Rocky was also amazed by how many books were available in the library even though he was constantly coming here, he would still feel astounded by the beauty of itself.

They went to the Librarian, asking about the beast's anatomy book and the map of dungeons. The librarian instructed them where they could find the book, and gave them the copy of the map of the dungeons.

The three of them began to look for the book.

"Hey dude." Jake called his companion's attention by whispering.

"Yeah? What is it man?" Aziel responded back whispering.

"I think I found something interesting around the corner. I'll just let you guys look for the book, I'll be around the corner. Just call for me when you need help." Jake waved his hand without waiting for Aziel to respond, and left.

"That guy!" Aziel just let Jake be, and walk after Rocky.

"Aziel, I found the book. Want to read it together? Where did Jake go?" Rocky asked.

"He said he found something interesting around the corner, and said to look for him when we needed his help. 'Sigh' Anyways, come on, let's read it." Aziel replied.

"Alright man, there is a table there for us to read it." Rocky said pointing towards where Jake had walked earlier.

They went towards the corner where there is a table and found that Jake was also there… sleeping.

Aziel was about to snap but reminded himself that they were inside the library, and noise was strongly prohibited inside, so he just let him be.

After reading the entire book, Aziel and Rocky wake Jake up.

They returned the book to where they picked it up and walked outside the room.

The three boys starts their adventure towards the dungeon and were discussing.

"Hey, are we sure we're doing this? Aren't we lack in numbers?" Rocky asked his two companions. He was scared to start the day because of what happened to him the other night.

"Yawn. Don't worry man, I got you!" Jake replied, yawning and still a bit half-asleep.

"He's right Rocky. You don't have to worry about them. If anything happens, I got both your backs." Aziel replied grabbing both his companions in each shoulders.

"Cringe man! Hahahaha." Jake responded in a playful way, pushing Aziel a little and laugh.

In this interactions only Rocky wasn't laughing. In fact, he was about to cry as they walk towards the dungeon.

It was seen by both his companions and decided to ask him about it.

"Rocky, buddy. What is wrong? You we're acting a bit weird since yesterday. May I know what your problem is?" Aziel was the first one to asked, and Jake just nodded as he also had the same question in his mind.

During this time, Aziel felt a gaze coming from behind with a murderous intent. But, Aziel didn't told his two companions and continue to walk, pretended as if he had felt nothing after the murderous gaze quickly vanished.

"I… I can't…" Rocky was about to cry when they reach the entrance of the dungeon.

The dungeon looks like a huge cave and there are two guards standing at the entrance. Aziel could see that the guards are strong. They emit stronger aura than the Student Council President.

"Halt! Before you could enter the dungeon, show your Identification card first!" One of the guards yelled.

Although the ranking of the students wasn't confidential, they still had the right to decide whether to show their I.D or not.

However, when it comes to dungeon raid, each student has no choice but to oblige with the demands of the guards.

The first to show their card was Jake and got approve instantly.

The next one to hand their I.D was Rocky, and immediately he was stopped by one of the guards.

"Why? What's wrong sir?" Aziel asked the guard.

"We can't let him inside. He was too weak for this dungeon. This dungeon must only be entered by rank C students or higher. Anyone with a lower rank can't go inside." The guard explained.

"Is there anything we could do for him, so that he could go inside?" Aziel asked the guard.

"We are just guards here, and we can't let someone jeopardize our work just to let him in! If we can prevent someone's death by not letting them in, then that we'll do! However, if you can promise to take care of your friend, or protect him at all times then we will allow it. You just have to fill up these waiver." The guard clarifies his action.

When Aziel received the waiver, he saw something written in it that said "They were not responsible for anything that happens to Aziel's group". However, Aziel still filled the waiver, even though they can't get any help from the guards anymore.

After Aziel filled up the waiver, he hands it over to the guard including his ID card. The guard let them in after returning Aziel's ID.

After Aziel went pass the guard, he felt the murderous gaze again. This time Aziel casually look behind him, not causing anything suspicious.

That's when he saw a group of students going into the same dungeon as they are.
