A little while later, the guards arrived and witnessed a devastating situation.
They immediately contacted back up and medical team using their bracelet before asking Aziel's group what had happen.
Aziel explained to one of the guards what happened using the alibi that he had come up with earlier, while Jake was asked by the other guard and said the same alibi.
"What did he tell you?"
One of the guards named Art Mugley asked his companion named Abod Lewis.
"Nothing much. He only said that the beast killed those kids before they arrived and attacked them as well. In retaliation, they end up killing the beast. How about yours?"
"The same, I think what they were saying is the truth, but we don't know for sure, so we will continue the investigation here and find out what really happened here. Damn it!"
Art Mugley bit his lip in frustration.
Aziel heard everything through his enhanced hearing and thought that his alibi was perfect, until Rocky woke up.
"Damn it! I haven't spoken to Rocky about the alibi!" Aziel thought.
Aziel was about to dash towards Rocky to relay their alibi when he was stopped by one of the guards immediately, and the other one approached Rocky. Everything happened instantly, and
Aziel couldn't take a single step.
"Hey kid. What was the last thing that you could remember?"
Art Mugley asked his question without even checking up Rocky's condition.
Rocky swallowed his words when the guard emits a strong aura that sends shivers down his spine.
"W… we… heard screams… and went here… and… and… the… dead bodies… and the… monster!"
Rocky broke down in tears as he remembered the sight before passing out.
"It's been taken care of, so you don't have to worry about it."
"You can take your leave, but be prepared when we call you for an interrogation. And make sure that what happened here will stay here. You understood!?"
Rocky nodded in fear, he was practically shaking as he starts to walk towards the exit when Aziel spoke.
"Rocky, what was the most important part of this beast?"
"Oh uhh… It's the uhh… eyes and the sword… of the man in its back. The… sword and the eyes… are one of the rarest fragments… in making armaments, as the eyes… can absorb fire magic essence… and the sword is close to indestructible."
Aziel nodded and proceed to gouge the eyes out, broke its fingers to get the sword, and together with his friends they walk outside after.
Jake helped Rocky as the walk towards the exit, and the guards escorted them out.
"Go back to the Academy and wait for further instruction."
The guards sent them off to the Academy by the medical carriage.
"That white haired kid, he seem bold for his age don't you think?"
"He might just all talk, or maybe he had the balls to back it up. Either way, we'll soon find that out once the selection for the slots starts."
Art Mugley glazes the carriage before turning back towards the dungeon, and Abod Lewis followed after.
Rocky and Jake was sent into the infirmary for their medication, while Aziel was sent into the Research Department.
The Research Department of the Academy oversees the Reward System for defeating beasts. Although, most of it was handled by the Student Council, the Research Department always wanted to talk to their students who are doing well in the Academy, and in Aziel's case, he was the first student in the Academy who killed a Nuckelavee. A very rare and strong beast in their Kingdom.
"I believe 'Congratulations' are in order."
An elderly but beautiful woman stood beside a coffee table and offers Aziel a handshake.
Aziel politely grabs her hand and kiss it.
"Oh. What a charming young one. I am Rox Graimstone. The head of this department."
Rox sat and signals Aziel to have a seat.
"Thank you, Miss Rox"
"I won't beat around the bush young man. How did you manage to kill a very strong beast, using the same element it possess?"
Rox stared at Aziel's eyes seriously.
"It's not just me, I should say it's a team effort. If it wasn't for my companions, I don't think I could defeat that beast alone."
Aziel was a bit nervous but he manage to have a poker face.
"You're too modest young man. I know that the principal had his eyes set on you, and I know that you are already on the list of students participating the tournament. So, explain to me how you manage to defeat the beast."
"Sigh. Alright, I'll tell you."
Aziel yield thinking that Rox isn't as gullible as those guards.
"Since, everyone will eventually see this sooner or later. But promise me this, you won't tell anyone about it until the tournament."
Aziel's eyes lit up a little looking directly at Rox's eyes, making her worried a bit.
"O…of course. I swear to hide your secrets, I just want to know the truth because you see, as the
Head of this Department who oversees the Reward System for your deeds outside the Academy, I think I am also oblige to know the truth about what really happened in that dungeon, don't you think? And even if you say otherwise, I still had my ways of finding out the truth. However, we don't need to go that far when we can discuss it over a cup of tea, right young man?"
Rox who's looking at Aziel's eyes emits a little of her aura trying to intimidate him.
Aziel closed his eyes, and slowly creates earth and fire elements in each of his hand.
"You're saying that you defeated a Nuckelavee using this elements?"
Rox wasn't surprise but a bit perplexed.
"How did you do it?"
"Using the earth magic, I compressed the stone into a very solid spearhead, and heat it using the fire element. I also made the spearhead rotate to balance the aerodynamics of it. And then after the spearhead was hot enough, I throw it as hard as I could towards the beast."
Aziel didn't tell the entire story, as he was still being cautious towards Rox.
Surprisingly, Aziel had a poker face throughout his explanation, and manage to convince Rox that he was telling the true story.
"Alright, thank you for your time and honestly, young man. You can go to the student council's office and ask for your point's allocation within your group, they know what to do."
Rox stood up and open the door for Aziel.
Aziel bowed before leaving the office.
He walked towards the student council when he bumped into a good looking male student, and was sent a few meters back.
"He's strong!"
