"Will Sei's transformation continue indefinitely? Will he always remain a good person?"
After some thought, Moss decided to ask directly.
Kudamon wasn't the type to be secretive. As long as it wasn't classified information, he would likely give an honest answer.
Hearing the question, Kudamon smiled slightly, thinking, Are you worried that I've altered his free will? As expected of Angewomon!
As a Holy Digimon, having a compassionate heart and such concerns was perfectly normal.
Kudamon explained, "Once the energy I infused into him is completely exhausted, he will revert to his original personality. But that will take a long time."
"So there's a time limit..." Moss sighed in relief.
She was actually a bit worried that Kudamon might try using the same technique on her. If she were to lose her unique, slightly twisted personality, that would be terrifying!
Pursuing righteousness was one thing, but if she became completely normal, life would be way too boring.
But since Sei would eventually revert, there was nothing to worry about.
A while later, at 8 AM—
Thomas and Yoshino arrived at the command center, clocking in for work.
Seeing Moss, they greeted her.
"Where's Masaru?" Moss asked curiously.
Yoshino replied, "He's at school. He won't report in until after classes."
Unlike the protagonists of the earlier Digimon series, the main character of Digimon Savers, Daimon Masaru, was a fourteen-year-old middle schooler, the same age as Taichi and his friends in Digimon Adventure 02.
"And what about you two?" Moss asked Thomas and Yoshino.
She hadn't watched Digimon Savers many times, so aside from Masaru's infamous punch-first-ask-questions-later style, she had forgotten many details.
"I've already graduated," Thomas said.
Despite being the same age as Masaru, he was a genius who had graduated from Stockholm Royal Academy and was even a world boxing champion. A true mix of brains and brawn, he was regarded as the most outstanding member of DATS in history.
—Classic cool genius rival character type.
"I... also graduated," Yoshino said awkwardly.
Unlike Thomas, however, she had only finished high school.
She had no plans to attend university. Working at DATS was equivalent to securing a government job, and if the Digimon-related issues were resolved, she could even transfer to the police force.
—A very practical worker mindset.
"So in the end, only Masaru is still in school," Moss chuckled.
The one who loves fighting the most is stuck in a classroom.
That contrast was amusing in its own way.
Just then, Miku Kurozaki announced, "Digimon detected in K1 district!"
"I'll handle it," Thomas volunteered immediately.
Grabbing his Digivice, he headed out. This was their usual routine—wherever a Digimon appeared, they would respond, subduing the Digimon and turning it back into a Digi-Egg before bringing it back.
According to normal protocol, these Digi-Eggs would be sent back to the Digital World.
However, with Kurata still at large, sending them back wasn't safe. Kudamon had ordered DATS to hold onto the Digi-Eggs for now and wait until Kurata was dealt with before sending them home.
"They really are still in their early stages," Moss mused.
At this point, the main team could only evolve their Digimon to the Champion level. Without even reaching Ultimate-level strength, they wouldn't be able to contribute much in the upcoming battle against Kurata.
Moss herself was no different.
She would also have to stay behind.
Though it was disappointing, as long as Kurata was eliminated, it didn't matter whether she landed the finishing blow or not.
"I'm heading back to my quarters."
With nothing else to do in the command center, Moss excused herself and returned to her assigned DATS room.
"Full-Body Reception: Myotismon's Soul!"
As a magic circle glowed beneath her, Moss transformed into the Blood Queen form.
Until now, she had only activated Myotismon's soul during battle. Ironically, she had spent more time using Gatomon's soul in casual moments, making it the form she had trained with the most.
Thanks to this, she had even discovered Gatomon's hidden ability—enhanced flexibility, which increased her body's elasticity tenfold.
That flexibility had been the key to defeating Biomeric Quetzalmon.
"If I maintain my Blood Queen form for extended periods, even if I don't unlock new abilities, I can at least get used to this power and achieve full efficiency," Moss murmured, explaining to Angewomon.

Meanwhile, Sei had successfully contacted Kurata.
Kurata didn't doubt Sei's claim that he wanted more power.
Sei had always been that kind of person. He had joined the Digimon Hunters purely in pursuit of strength. Now that he had been humiliated and defeated by Kudamon, it made sense that he wanted power for revenge.
So Kurata sent men to bring Sei to his base.
When Sei stepped out of the car and saw Kurata in person, he felt a rush of excitement. I got close to him so easily! But now's not the time to make a move—I need evidence first.
Kurata noticed Sei's intense gaze and assumed it was due to his hunger for power. Smirking, he said, "Relax, Sei. There's no need to be so impatient. You'll get the strength you desire soon enough."
Every human had Digital Soul, but being able to awaken and use it required talent.
Among Kurata's subordinates, only Sei, Nanami, and Ivan could actively wield Digital Soul.
The rest—including Kurata himself—couldn't.
To compensate, Kurata had developed Artificial Digital Soul.
Functionally, it wasn't much different from naturally awakened Digital Soul. However, it was inconvenient to use and required an external storage device.
Because of this, the three Digimon Hunters were especially valuable. Even though they were mere henchmen, they were rare henchmen, so Kurata indulged their reasonable demands.
"You want me to relax?"
Sei didn't actually care about power—he needed to capture evidence. Specifically, he had to locate the Temporal Shock Bombs.
Feigning irritation, he growled, "Send me to the Digital World. I need to fight to vent my anger!"
Kurata raised an eyebrow, sensing something off.
But geniuses often carried a level of arrogance—Kurata was no exception.
Sei's slight change in behavior? He chalked it up to pure frustration.
"Fine, go blow off some steam."
Kurata led Sei to a warehouse where the Temporal Shock Bombs were stored, retrieving one and setting it up. Then, they moved to an open area, where Kurata casually tossed the armed bomb forward.
BOOM!
The explosion itself wasn't loud.
To human ears, it merely sounded like metal shattering. However, the true shockwave of the bomb operated at frequencies beyond human perception.
Moments later, a golden ring appeared in midair.
Within the ring was a pitch-black tunnel, crackling with green energy.
A portal to the Digital World!
On Sei's belt, a hidden camera recorded everything.
And he sent it directly to DATS Headquarters.
—
At 3 PM—
Daimon Masaru and Agumon S entered the command center.
As soon as they stepped inside, they heard Miku Kurozaki announce, "We've got the evidence!"
Masaru shuddered instinctively.
He didn't know exactly what was happening.
But he could feel that a storm was coming.
