Chapter 13 – Unfinished Business
Snow didn't hesitate. He stormed into Ethan Park's office, the door slamming against the wall with a loud thud. Ethan jolted from his chair, eyes wide with shock. He quickly masked his surprise with a forced smile, but Snow could see the nervous twitch in his fingers.
"Snow, what a surprise," Ethan said smoothly, straightening his tie. "To what do I owe this visit?"
Snow stepped forward, his gaze cold and piercing. "Cut the act. You know why I'm here."
Ethan feigned confusion. "I'm not sure I follow—"
"Don't play dumb," Snow interrupted, slamming his hands on the desk. "You told my parents I didn't want to see them. You ruined my last chance to be with them. Why?"
Ethan's face twitched. "I did it for you, Snow. Back then, you were at the peak of your career. Your parents would have distracted you. I was only thinking of your future."
Snow clenched his fists. "My future? You took away my family! Do you even hear yourself?" His voice was sharp, filled with barely contained rage.
Ethan sighed, rubbing his temple. "You don't understand. There were bigger forces at play. I had no choice."
Snow narrowed his eyes. "No choice? Then tell me—who was pulling the strings?"
Ethan hesitated for a second too long. That was all the confirmation Snow needed. Someone else was behind this.
Stepping back, Snow let out a slow breath. His anger hadn't faded, but he knew he wouldn't get any more answers from Ethan. Not now. But he would, soon enough.
He turned to leave but paused at the doorway. "Tell your master that I'm back. Tell them that I'll become a superstar so untouchable, they won't even be able to dream of silencing me. And when that day comes, I'll destroy every single one of you."
Ethan swallowed hard, his face pale. He watched helplessly as Snow walked out, his presence like a storm passing through.
The moment the door shut, Ethan grabbed his phone with trembling fingers. He dialed a number, his breath uneven.
"Sir, we have a problem," he whispered. "Snow… he's trying to dig up the past."
A deep chuckle echoed from the other end. In a dimly lit office, a figure leaned back in his chair, the glow from his cigarette illuminating his sharp, amused eyes.
A sinister smile stretched across his face.
"AHHHH SO OUR LITTLE CROSS HAS HROWN UP " the voice mused. "Then it's time for him to follow his parents."
