Aria's pov
We continued walking and just when we thought we were finally free from the creature,we heard it running towards us with full force and it was obviously very angry.
Simon's face mirrored how I was feeling.
The monstrous creature lunged at us with gnashing teeth and sharp claws, Simon and I sprang into action, our years of training kicking in with instinctive precision.
"Stay focused!" I shouted over the roar of the beast, my muscles coiling as I prepared to strike.
Simon nodded grimly, his eyes locked on our foe as he readied her weapons.
I drew my sword and lunged at it, slashing it at its sides, it whimpered and threw me to the tree trunk. I heard my back crack as I crumpled underneath the tree.
A whimper escaped me as I caught my breath, I managed to stand but I went down again when it threw Simon and he hit me in the process.
He sprang up immediately and I followed suit, we circled the monster and I took my time to study it.
