Up until now Izikel had been using his intuition and common sense to navigate his new abilities.
Like how he knew that he had to dream to use his abilities, and how he suspected that it had something to do with his soul and soul energy.
It was all intuitions that turned out to be right, but this seemed like where his stroke of luck ended.
He had no idea where he was, or what to do.
"Where the heck am I?" He wondered, but he didn't expect to get a reply so he was shocked to hear a light female voice.
"This is your Dream world,"
He was shocked for a moment, frantically swinging his head from side to side.
"Who's there?!"
The voice wasted no time responding.
"I am your guide, you created me to help you navigate your Dream world,"
Izikel was a bit confused, "I created you, How?"
The guide replied,
"This world answers to your imagination and desire. Immediately you desired to understand this place, I was created. In this place you can create anything,"
"Wait, anything at all?" Izikel confirmed eagerly
"Yes, anything at all. Although to create complex machinery and other things, you should be able to understand how their parts interact with each other to work, meaning you would have to understand the inner workings of the item, it is the same for living things,"
Izikel listened attentively as she spoke, if what she said was true she just reduced the available options by a lot. He hardly knew how anything worked. But he chose to give it a try.
He wanted to test it out but he didn't know how to.
Suddenly random items began appearing around him, like chairs, tables, books, phones and desktops. They created a mountain, burying him under.
"You would have to control your imagination while you are here," the guide advised before making the items disappear.
"And avoid creating too much items too fast, and as you know if your soul energy runs out you'll die,"
Izikel did feel the soul energy flow out of him as these items appeared but it quickly filled back since he was in direct contact with his Altar. He had no idea about the final part, about him dying if his soul energy finished. That means he had to be careful never to over use his soul energy.
He cleared his mind and opened his hand, imagining a sword. It wasn't that difficult and immediately he fully pictured it, it appeared in his hand.
He could feel the Soul energy flow out of him to create the sword.
It had a black handle, exactly as he remembered it. He re-created the only weapon he had held in his life. Someone had brought a real sword to an event in his past and he was opportuned to hold it for more than a few seconds.
"Even the weight was exactly the same, or was it heavier?"
As the words left his mouth the sword became even heavier, but not so heavy that he couldn't swing it around.
"So anything I say really goes… but it's pretty useless if I can't take it to the real world," he sighed.
"And who said you couldn't," the guide's voice sounded like she was happy to reveal this to him.
Izikel wore a skeptical look, "seriously?!"
Eager to test it out, he closed his eyes and directed his consciousness back to his real body. When he reopened it, he was kneeling before the burning rock with violet flames.
He could still feel the connection to his dream world, if he closed his eyes he could easily see into the world. Using only his consciousness he reached for the sword, pulling it into reality.
The weapon materialized in his hand, exactly as it was in his Dream world. It took a lot of soul energy to make it happen and even more to maintain it in reality.
His soul energy was depleting so fast that he couldn't even celebrate the fact that it worked.
Even with his hand in direct contact with the Altar, his soul energy was depleting faster than the Altar could replenish.
After only three minutes he was forced to send the sword back, before his soul energy would drop to a dangerous level. It was then refilled by the Altar.
"So it does work but I'll use my soul energy to bring it here and I'll use even more soul energy to keep it here… it would take a while before I can use this miracle effectively,"
He sighed disappointedly. He was glad that he could bring the things from his dream here, but if he could only keep them here for a few minutes it would be useless. Maybe there was a way to make it more efficient.
Luckily he didn't have to wait since his soul energy was almost full. He noticed that the farther he was from his Altar the more time it took for his soul energy to refill, so being in direct contact with the Altar when doing this was the best option. Especially now that he just learned from the guide, that if he exhausted his soul energy completely, he would die.
After noticing that he could create the items in his Dream world even from reality, he continued trying his ability a few more times and noticed that it was harder to bring over larger items and even more difficult to maintain them.
Returning to the Dream world he decided he had to find a way to make his Dream creation ability more effective. To do that he had to create something small... Something powerful...
Only one item came to mind, "A gun"
