Eron's POV
When I got to Peter's quarters, I couldn't help but see a lot of corpses on the floor, blood trailing from them. I instantly recognized some of these corpses as Peter's guards. The ones I didn't recognize belonged to the soldiers from the Golden Island Kingdom.
Where's Peter? I thought to myself as I rushed into the room, looking for Peter. Did he get killed as well? Or did he manage to escape with his family? He should have escaped with his wife and son because—
My thoughts came to a halt as I instantly saw two corpses I recognized. They belonged to Peter's wife and son, who had been alive just a few moments ago. There were several deep wounds in their bodies from slashes, blood slowly trailing from them and soaking their clothes.
"No..." I said as I fell to my knees. "They're not supposed to die... not at all."
