Chaos did have two children as stated earlier, and they are Nyx and Erebus. Like the Protogeni themselves, her children also have no father, they came into existence using Chaos's ability to create something from nothing. The Primordials just were since they technically didn't have a set of parents. I guess in the case of Chaos's children it's probably best that they were full adults when she brought them into existence. That way there were no questions like "where's daddy" or "why don't I have a dad". I'm sure even the children of immortals asked questions like the children today do.
Her son, Erebus is the oldest of her children and is said to be the embodiment of his domain, he is the Primordialgodofdarknessandshadows. He is the embodiment of darkness itself. I try to stay away from him as much as possible. I'm not too successful though as I'm always visiting Nyx and you can't stay away from family and all. His darkness is just too scary for me, see I don't mind the night but he's the embodiment of darkness for goodness sake like the darker the better darkness. He has total control over the darkness, so if he wants to be mean he could have me stuck forever! Not even my auntie Chaos would know where I was or what happened to me and Erebus wouldn't tell her what happened.
He has 6 powers that he has total control over. Erebus has silky curly shoulder length hair, with a short wiry black beard. He has the most beautiful eyes that are a honey gold in color with the outer edge of his eyes tinged red. He is very tall and muscular with white gray skin. He wears a set of blood red robes that is adorned with the silhouette of crows on the bottom fourth of the robes. Erebus nicely compliments his wife since he has times where he is shady and mysterious too. His personality is more of an anti-social one as not many people are too keen on talking to the god of 2 things mortals are afraid of, darkness and shadows.
The 6powers that he controls are: the first being RealityWarping, he can control and manipulate reality to meet his whims. The second being Omnipotence, he has unlimited power and authority within the domain that is his, darkness and shadows. The third is ImmenseStrength, something that most of the gods and goddesses have in common with one another, he is one of the most powerful Protogenoi. The fourth is ControloverDarkness, having control over the shadows as well as shadow travel, he can also create illusions from the shadows. The fifth of his powers is SowingDiscord, he is able to turn even the strongest of allies against themselves. The sixth power is PsychicAbilities, he is capable of summoning demons and manipulating the Wrap. This takes a lot of brain power to be able to control and manipulate the wrap all while summoning demons.
Erebus later went on to marry his younger sister Nyx. They then went on to have 15children together, 7 sons and 8 daughters. In this mix of kids they ended up with a set of twin sons. Their sons are as follows: the first to be born being Aether. The second to be born is Geras. The third one is Charon. The fifth is the set of twins, the first one is Thanatos. The second being his twin and the sixth one born, Hypnos. The seventh and final son to be born would be Dolos.
Their lovely daughters are as follows: the first to be born is Hemera she is actually quite lovely being day and all. The second one born is Nemesis, she's not as lovely since she is all for retribution. The third one to be born is Eris, she isn't one of my favorites either since I'm not one that enjoys constant conflicts. The fourth born is Apate, I don't like deceit either. The fifth and final child to be born is Philotes, I get along well with her since I see her more often and who can't like someone who is so affectionate! Erebus is the only one between him and his wife that is a step-parent, as his only children are with his lovely wife. Erebus lives in Tartarus with his wife in her gorgeous mansion.
Chaos's daughter, and probably her favorite child, is Nyx who is actually known as the PrimordialGoddessofthenight. She is also said to be the personification of the night and not just the goddess of it. She is also known as the MotherofNight. The reason for being a Primordial is because she, along with her brother are amongst the very first of the gods. She has a quiet and observant personality, watching from the shadows. As she is so quiet nobody knows she's in the shadows watching and observing everything. She would be great as a spy for this very reason if the gods ever thought there was a need for one. As she wouldn't even have to go herself; she could just listen to the shadows that exist everywhere or even send her little demons she can create.
Nyx has beautiful hair that is waist length wavy and midnight blue, she wears little crystals in her hair to represent the stars. She has a pair of bewitching silver eyes that twinkle like the stars in the night sky if one watches them closely enough. Her eyes will especially twinkle if she is up to something shady and mysterious. Her dress is woven out of the softest material that is midnight blue trimmed in silver and has the starry night sky depicted on them. The dress is actually very beautiful, if one looks closely enough it looks as if the stars are actually shining and twinkling.
Nyx is known to have 11differentpowers, pretty sure that makes her the favorite child, even though Chaos will deny any time she is asked if she has a favorite, everyone just wants her to finally admit to what we all see! Her powers are pretty awesome actually and they are: the first one being ControlofDarkness. The second one is that she has the ability of NightVision, yes she does use this to win a game of tag at night when she takes the time to have a break. I can promise that I'm not playing that game with her again in any lifetime (give me a few centuries and I'll have probably changed my mind yet again). Actually this one is a good thing, when not cheating at games, because she is the goddess of darkness after all, if she couldn't see how could she do her duties? The third one being she can use ShadowTravel, this uses the shadows to travel anywhere she pleases and at a high rate of speed. Oh and believe me yes again she loves to use this one a lot, especially when she has let you see her in the hall or something and then when you enter the kitchen she suddenly appears right next to you. Talk about a way to die, thankfully we are all immortal here so we don't die, but if I were a mortal I'd have died long ago! Again though totally a good thing since night is only so long and she pulls the curtain closed on day for the world when she rides her silver and purple chariot pulled by 7 beautiful and big silver and black winged horses. The fourth one being she is able to use Healing and this is done by using the darkness. The fifth one being she has the power of Invisibility to use this she simply covers herself in the shadows, no this is definitely NOT one of my favorite of her powers. She just loves to wait for you somewhere wrapped up in the shadows and then WHAM! She's gotten you again and I'm sitting curled up on the floor thankful I can't die from my heart exploding or something as dramatic as that. Oh and if you haven't figured it out yet, I'm her favorite target so much for best friends! The sixth one is that she is able to use CacodemonCreations, and this is using others' darkness. The seventh of the powers being that she has the ability to use the power of Telekinesis, this comes in handy when she has to move the vail to bring the night. The eighth of her powers being that she has the power of Regeneration, this is only used when she is injured. The ninth power being that she has Invulnerability, meaning that if she is your enemy it will be impossible for her to get hurt mentally or physically. This one will put you at a disadvantage when sparing, she never gets hurt! The tenth power being that she is skilled in the art of Manipulation, this is a good skill to have when you're wanting to get out of doing something like when it's your turn to host the meeting of the gods. Yes it can get very messy if some show up in a bad mood, I've mastered the art of ducking and weaving to not get hit by anything. Finally, the eleventh power she has is SuperhumanStrength and this is something many of the gods and goddesses have in common.
It is said that later when Zeus becomes an adult and the king of the gods he will fear Nyx because of her powers and abilities. He will still argue that it's just that he respects her immensely as she is one of the oldest and the wisest of the immortals. I would like to know who he thinks he's fooling, sure isn't me. Regardless he will come along later, I know this thanks to the oracles, they're never wrong about ANYTHING!
Aside from the 15 children like earlier stated Nyx also has other children, those she created herself, like her mother did with her and her brother. As well as those she had with other gods. Among these children that Nyx had she had 2groups of daughters that are spirits, 1,000 daughters in one group and the other is a group of 1,000's. She also has 7children on her own. With 2 of them being a set of twins and 3 of them belonging to a set of triplets. Later she goes on to have another set of triplet daughters only this time with Uranus.
Nyx lives in her beautiful mansion in the deepest and darkest parts of Tartarus that one can get without actually being punished with her husband, Erebus. Her mansion is called TheNightMansion, and it is beautiful being made out of the blackest Onyx that can be found and then polished up. There are crystal lanterns hanging on all the walls about every 10 feet or so. These are for those that don't have night vision, like me I don't have it. The carpets throughout the mansion are as purple as a fresh plumb that has just ripened. With the walls being a shimmery silver like the stars in the night sky. All the furniture in the whole mansion save for 1 room is as black as a moonless night. They are paired with red cushions that are as red as freshly bloomed red roses on them. The cushions are as fluffy as freshly baked bread. The air in the sitting room has a sweet smell like a summer night in a flower garden.
I'm not too keen on visiting the mansion all the time though even if it is really beautiful, the screams from those souls being punished is very creepy especially since it's so dark down there. I can hear them but can't see them. I'm grateful in a way but with my ears working extra to compensate for my eyes not being able to see anything. On the other hand I think I'd be more scared if I could see clearly. I'm pretty sure that the darkness is too thick for a lot of light to shine, the lanterns every 10 feet in the mansion are barely enough to see. I'm glad they are there though, I absolutely DO NOT want to step on any kind of Underworld creature. Whoever said that light always conquers the dark hasn't been down there yet!
