Actual emotions , the anxiety of the palace maids, the irritation of a nobles somewhere in the halls, and even the distinct scent of Damian's presence even though he was nowhere near.
This was getting out of hand, a day ago she had accidentally dodged a falling tray before it even hit the ground, like she had sensed it coming. Last night, she had woken up hearing voices in the distance, only to realize the guards were two floors away.
