Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Maybe, It's fate

Alex lazily woke up from his sleep as morning comes. He prepare himself and double check his wares before opening the store. As he flip the signage on his frontdoor to open, he saw once again the poor-looking adventurer.

"Yo mister! Are you here to resupply?" Alex greeted the poor-looking adventurer. Lamar nodded "yes shopkeep, I'm here to resupply and please, just call me Lamar." Lamar introduced himself. "Great! I just got a new stock of endure potiona and mana potion, come in!" Alex open the door and let Lamar in

"So, how many potion would you like to purchase?" Alex asked "how about 3 endure potion and 1 mana potion." Lamar replied. Alex nodded and prepare the items Lamar requested. "Here you go, 3 endure potion and 1 mana potion, that's for 320 Silvers." Alex arrange the potions neatly on the desk. Lamar nodded in satisfaction and paid the silvers.

As Lamar is about to go out, he stopped on his tracks and look back to the shopkeep and can't help but asked "hey shopkeep, just out of curiosity, why do you sell your wares cheaply? Are not go out of business if you do this?" Alex just smiled back to Lamar "maybe, it's fate." Lamar smiled back and shook his head and head out.

Seemingly satisfied with his response, Alex counted the silvers and cash-in the 200 silvers for store points to restock the endure potion and mana potion. As for the remaing 120 silvers, he will keep it on his person just in case of emergency. After tidying up the store, he went to the back to cook breakfast.

In the midst of this event, in a particular inn, a group of adventurer can't help but sigh on their situation. A bald and bulky man speak up "guys, with the failure of our quest yesterday, our party is about to be demoted from Rank D to Rank E party. So we need to be careful and ready for the next quest that we will be getting at the townhall." A scholar looking man also speak "If only the mana potion and endure potion was enough, we could have completed that quest." They sigh once again on their failure.

Bald guy asked and look on their female party member "Elise, how much supply we currently have?" Elise, the only female party member replied "we have no more potions, 2 Spirit capsule, 3 fenix powders, 1 townportal and 600 silvers." The bald guy nodded, then a small kid like height approached the group "Leader! There is a quest that provides a bountiful reward! The bald guy eyes lit up "tell me the details!" The kid nodded "it was to hunt 3 earthen wolves and the pay is 1200 silvers." The bald guy think for a moment and look at the scholar "Vince, with 3 earthen wolves, how much supply do you think we need?" Vince began to be in deep thought "with you tanking the wolf, if we hunt them one by one, we just need to lightly supply, 1 mana potion and 2 endure potion should be enough. But if in worse case scenario that we encounter two at the same time or even the three of them, with you, Leader tanking the damage of the two wolves, Elise and Kido distracting one of the wolf while I'm preparing my spells, we need atleast 2 mana potion and about 4-5 endure potion." Vince explained.

As they talk were talking about strategies that they can use on the earthen wolves, a man clad in armor entered the inn. The bald guy notice the man and smiles "Yo! Isn't it the Iron clad Lamar?" Lamar notice the bald guy and laughed! "Oy oy oy! Clyde old baldy! Nice to see you!" Lamar grab and chair and sit with them "nice to see you too guys! Vince, Kido and of course Madam Elise." He gave all of them a nod.

"So how have you been old baldy? Are your party about to rank up again?" As Lamar brought this up, all of them have an ashen faces. Lamar was dumbstruck on their reaction, normally, this baldy would go out and brag up but now he is not. Elise eas about to speak but interrupted by Clyde "Lamar, to be honest, we are in a dire situation and we need your help." Lamar face becomes serious and Clyde continues "We failed our last 2 quest consecutively and if we fail another quest, our party rank will go down. We are planning to take the quest on hunting the earthen wolves however, we don't have enough silvers to cover our supply, we only have 600 silvers left and we need atleast 300 more just to be on the safe side." When Lamar heard it, he can't help but recall the Alex answer to his question. Lamar smiles and said "Maybe, it's fate."

Clyde can't help but asked maybe he heard wrong "what did you just said old friend?" Lamar laughed "Nothing baldy! If it's supply you are looking for, follow me, I will show you a great store!" The whole party was confused but still believe with Lamar and they followed him to the inconspicuous alleyway.

Looking around, the party can't help but doubt Lamar, as the alley was deserted like there's no one lives on this part of the city. Clyde can't help but asked "are you sure that there is a store here?" "Yes there is a store here, actually this is where I brought my supplies." Lamar replied.

After a few more minutes and walking, they saw a small house with empty plot of land like a yard on both side of the house and a lonely front door signage "Store Open". They began to be skeptical with their friend Lamar "Was my friend hypnotized or what. Is this really a store and not a stick up house?" Clyde said to himself.

As they stood at the front door, Lamar open the door and they were greeted by a clean shop like interior with cabinet display and some products at the front desk. The door at the back of the front desk open and appear a young man. The young man smiles and greeted them "Welcome to my store! How can I help you?"
