As she made her way to the crowd, she walked up to Xavier, who was nursing his beer. She asks, "Mind if I join?" He shrugs, not answering. She thinks, Oh, joy, totally deserves that. She sits, and the silence draws. She thinks of what to say, then says, "Umm...I know you were trying to be nice. People don't really do nice where I'm from."
"Oh, no, don't get me wrong," she continues, "the mortals...are pretty complex. They love hard and hate the same way." She pauses, reflecting on her past. "Hmm, people really didn't like me back home. Got bullied most of the time, and couldn't even tell my mom 'cause she was always not around and left Ryan with me...my little brother."
"So, the day I got sent here, I was taking care of him and my ex-bestie...no offense, she was a real bitch." Xavier laughs, and she's glad he did. She continues, "She took me to this party, made me drink a lot, but I never got drunk. Maybe my supernatural abilities showed up like that...didn't really get sick or anything like that. Hangover wasn't a thing."
She takes a deep breath, recalling the painful memories. "So, I tell Ryan to go over to his friend, and I'll pick him up before my mom gets back. And I'm out of the party, I'm on the road...Betty's drunk...that's the bitch's name...and I try to push her away from a truck 'cause she's drunk and dizzy."
"But what she does is smile and waves while laughing as she pushes me in front of the truck. And the next thing I know, I'm here...you know the drill. But I got scared when they said my family won't remember me. So, I thought, no one knew Serafina Kitsuragi, the me before my power blast...like I was gone, non-existent from the mortal plane."
"And all people see is one more to bully. I just want to be normal." She turned and saw Xavier's attention was on her, and he was reaching for her cheeks. She didn't even know why she was crying as Xavier cleaned her tears.
She says, "Don't know why I told you that...just felt like I was compelled." She saw Xavier's eyes and says, "Eyes...eyes really are pretty...all dark blue, like an endless sea. I really love it." She draws closer to Xavier, and sees he's blushing, and she thinks, I really want to kiss your lips right now.
She sees Xavier lick his lips, and she notices that he heard her. She says, "Am I crazy, but did I say that out loud?" Xavier pulls his eyes from her lips and says, "Yes." Then, it dawns on Xavier, "You took the Compel...the drink...it's kinda made with vampire venom, so you may say the truth for a while...that's the fun of it."
Sera laughs and says, "So, I drank vampire spit?" Xavier laughs, and she draws closer to him. "Well, I think I have to go all out with the day and all." She pulls closer to Xavier, their lips only a breath away. He looks into her eyes, frames her face, and seals his lips with hers.
Sera moans, and she pulls onto his lap, and they kiss while touching themselves seductively. Xavier slides his hands into her dress while Sera frames his face, kissing him, and holding his white hair in her hand. Just when Sera moves to his neck, she hears a girl scream, and she pulls off Xavier's lap, both of them alert.
They rush back to the party site and see Javier, a girl she sat down with in Fire Advanced, oddly mutilated, and one of her legs bent. But what catches people's attention is her aura...if Godly magic was gone, drained...like the legend of the Water God Ryujin...Shadow Demons once plagued the earth and took all life...the Water God Ryujin, the Dragon God of the Sea, sealed them all in the underworld while the King of the Underworld ruled them as a bargain.
Sera doesn't know why she remembered what Miss Katrina said in her teachings, but this was starting to freak her out. And was it safe...with the humans...or with the gods?
