Sera
...
Sera sat in her room, still reeling from another grueling session of Miss Katrina's Fire Advanced class. She couldn't shake the feeling that Miss Katrina had it out for her, always calling her out in class, even when no one else responded. It was as if she knew Sera was holding back, and she took great pleasure in pushing her buttons.
She got her hair cut when she went out shopping with Chloe, and it now reached her shoulder length. Back to Miss Katrina's assignment, which she gave only to Sera. Chloe gave her a tip: instead of going to the library, she should download the PDF and do the assignment on her PC. She could research the origin of fire magic, and pulling an all-nighter could make her pass. Miss Katrina's calls would be silenced, and she could rub it in her face. Sera knew she was being childish, but who cared? It was her work, and she was going to crush it.
Shockingly, Miss Katrina did this to everyone, and if she realized you had potential, she became way harsher. Sera knew Miss Katrina would ask her about the assignment tomorrow, so she wanted to spend the time she had now before going to the Star Ash ceremony.
As she drank her water from her Stanley cup, she suddenly felt parched and asked Ain what time it was. "4:30," he replied. Ain advised her that it was right for her to go to the Star Ash ceremony, despite it being a ceremony to pick out the next victim of the year.
Chloe said she was coming over to pick out clothes. Sera declared, "I can't just hide because some bitches don't want me there and expect me to cower. I'm not going to do what they expect of me."
She went to the bathroom, took a quick shower, and came out wearing a bathrobe. She went to answer the door, and seeing Chloe, she let her in. Chloe said, "Girl, why isn't your hair dry?" Sera replied, "Because I just started magic, girl."
Chloe said, "Kay, just normal basic stuff. Easy to learn, no biggie." Then she entered and stared. "So this is Ace Black? It's way cool. The dorms ain't got all this, and it's legendary."
Chloe turned around and said, "Sorry, nerd moment." Sera replied, "Normal. When Ain spoke to me, I was so shocked."
Chloe asked, "Who's Ain?" Sera wanted to explain but just said, "A nickname for my brother." Chloe said, "I know you miss them, but protecting them comes first."
Sera agreed, looking down, and Chloe said, "No sobs moment. Wear the black dress; it would look good on you." Sera agreed and went to her closet to get dressed. She wore her thong and thought to herself that no one would care about her. She was a nobody, and the only thing that shined was her hair, which had been cut, thanks to Alisha's help.
But Alisha had a lot on her plate and a bunch of daddy issues. Sera didn't need any more attention, especially since the hair-cutting incident. Miss Feda, the principal, had come to check up on her like some guinea pig. No offense but she didn't want someone she barely knew watching her.
As sera put on the black dress it looked simple until she wore it, and it was shorter than expected it had a low back cut and it had a little slit and she balanced it with a black choker on her neck she looked and thought maybe rainbow was her color you never know until you try it.
As she walked out of the room, Chloe gave Sera a once-over. "You look amazing, girl if you were a lesbian I would be all over you but as you straight I will settle for a bestie. And You're going to turn heads tonight." Sera blushed, feeling a sense of excitement mixed with nerves.
As she walked down the hallway she was glad she didn't have to see any of the descendants the made her uneasy and she needed calm every once in a while.
They made their way to the Star Ash party, which was being held in a grand hall on the other side of the campus. The hall was filled with students, all dressed clothes barley coverable some even had their tittes out and of course Alisha was all over the descendants especially Ryder and she didn't know why she felt pissed off she didn't have to do she ignored them strolled in with Chloe and went to the bar Sera turned and looked felt a she sense of awe as she took in the sight.
Chloe grabbed her hand and pulled her through the crowd. "Come on, let's get a good spot." And they took their drinks They pushed their way to the front, where people were dancing doing drugs it was huge and then she saw Xavier he was sitting pretty far from the descendants with a cold beer in hand so she decided to mend things they might not be friends but better to have ine less enemy.
Sera's heart was racing as she scanned the crowd. She knew that the Star Ash ceremony was a big deal, and she was determined to make a good impression. Little did she know, the night had only just begun, and it would be one she would never forget.
