As soon as classes ended Markus had been the first to walk out, not being able to take his brothers bullshit anymore nor Allison's uncomfortable stares.
But most of all he wanted to see something that suddenly appeared before him just a couple moments after Allison stopped staring at him...for a minute.
So quickly rushing to the bathroom and entering an empty stall he then focused on the corner of his vision.
There was a '!' right above the mission board, he remembered that this only happened when he got his first and only mission, so he was a bit excited.

Markus sat in his booth staring at the screen infront of him, weighing his decisions.
He knew that if he took the deal then he'd probably be plunging the entire town into a supernatural apocalypse, creatures and monsters of all kinds would come rushing into the city drawn by the Nematon and in doing so, put a lot of people's lives in jeopardy alongside his.
But as he looked at the rewards he'd get from simply agreeing to whatever this 'entity's' deal was he almost salivated.

And just like that his eyes widened staring at the new screen that appeared before him.

It comes in the forms of granting it's user an affinity for magic, it allows the user to have a draw for any animal creatures, and also allows for nature to assist them in their time of need and most of all he will not be shrouded by the Nematon allowing them to draw it's power and access it in ways that most can never hope to achieve.]

Seing this, Markus immediately made his decision.
" I accept!" He said with fevour.
He'd be a fool to not, disregarding the fact that he'd probably be dooming his town or not. This would grant him what he needed right now, a way forward.
Genius Compression would make it so that studying supernatural genetic material way more easy than if he did without, the time it would take would vastly decrease and he didn't have time to waste.
Loved by Nature would grant him access to magic and the Nematon, if he actually found magic in this world or if it existed beyond what he'd seen Deaton and that Dark Druid in the series do then he'd have another hand above the original cast.
But the kicker was the damn Grimoire, magic no matter how weak or vague as the description described would be useful, incredibly useful.
[—The Entity smiles towards you.]
[—Ding! You have completed the mission~ An Ambitious Deal.]
And just like that his mind expanded, his senses sharpened and he saw the world in a whole different sight.
He could see the small dust particles floating around him, he could see the threads to his black t-shirt as if he had a 3D telescope and he could see other smaller particles floating around him sparkling a beautiful blue.
When he looked at his hands though he saw that instead of the blue, in its place instead green wavered around his body.
Staring longer at his hands he figured out what they were, Mana.
His mana was tainted green due to his [Loved By Nature] perk, that much he deduced but it took a bit longer to deduce that the blue specks of sparkles that were even smaller than dust particles was worldly mana.
Mana that was exuded by the very planet he was on, he also noticed that it was way more thinner than his that was sticking around him firmly.
" Wow..." He muttered, amazed as his mind studied and deducted everything around him.
He even deduced that from the stain on the door on to his bathroom stall that someone, not long ago had masturbated and cummed on the door.
" Ewww-" He grimaced kicking the door open, his elation at his sudden capabilities lowering before he paused.
" Wait, where's my Grimoire?"
[—Ding! The Grimoire is being kept by the system and can be summoned by the user at any moment, understand though once you do that it cannot be put into the system's inventory space again.
This is to make it easier for the host. after all, you wouldn't want an item suddenly appearing on your lap infront of people after obtaining it would you?]
" Oh, good point." He muttered before sighing, a smile of happiness forming on his face once more after a long time.
" Well then, let's get this show on the road."
With a way forward and finally obtaining something to strive for now, he walked out of the bathroom just as the next class was about to start.
The thought of bunking school and going home was in his mind but he decided against it, he wanted to see something first.
