6 more days…
[Log 47] {Sil} Hello?
{Sil} Anyone online?
{Sil} I know it's going to take a long time, but I was wondering…
{Sil} It's been on my mind since yesterday, but I wanted to know how I'd confess my feelings to Quinn.
{Sil} I have plenty of time, so I could figure it out.
{Sil} ?
{Sil} Hey… uh, anyone around…?
{Vicky} OMG, sorry, I was just up really late last night.
{Vicky} I was busy with Logan last night so… y'know.
{Sil} Ah, right… haha. You weren't doing the uh… devil's tango were you?
{Vicky} So what if I was? It's not like you can stop me.
{Vicky} >:)
{Sil} Ugh… it's still strange knowing you do crazy shit to my friend like that.
{Vicky} It wasn't actually like that at all, we were just packing our stuff to leave
{Vicky} Well anyways, what's this about confessing your love to Quinn?
{Sil} I've been trying out poetry. The ship gets pretty quiet so I'm alone with my thoughts a lot.
{Vicky} Haven't you tried listening to music? Those are basically poems.
{Sil} I've listened to all of these songs a lot, some just remind me of fucking since they're in my sex playlist.
{Sil} Connecting the internet to anything other than these logs has been really annoying. It's just me staring at the loading screen and I'm still listening to silence.
{Sil} So… I've written this poem to Quinn…
{Vicky} Read it, read it, read it.
{Sil} No! I'm embarrassed, I want it to be his eyes only.
{Vicky} Awww…
{Sil} I'm honestly embarrassed to even mention it. I think I tried too hard.
{Sil} He might even think my poem is stupid.
{Vicky} No, I'm sure he'd appreciate it a lot. Besides, you said it yourself, you still have plenty of time to refine it.
{Sil} I don't know a lot of words for these kinds of things. I used "love" 3 times in a sentence.
{Sil} For a line, I wrote "I loved you ever since I saw I couldn't copy your ability." I thought it was beautiful at the time, but saying it out loud makes me want to open the ship's doors and let the vacuum of space take me.
{Vicky} Okay… You might be right.
{Sil} UGHHHHHHHHH.
{Sil} I want it to be special, but I can't even write a stupid paragraph.
{Vicky} Maybe you should go back to school.
{Sil} Eh… I never really liked school.
{Vicky} I'm not talking about the temple.
{Sil} Yeah I know… Even regular school felt… weird…
{Vicky} Oh… well now you know more than you did before, you could just go to college or something. Could help with your poetry.
{Sil} Yeah right… What would I even get from college at this point?
{Sil} Aside from poetry.
{Vicky} Writing skills… maybe you could learn to do taxes… wait do you do your taxes Sil??
{Sil} I don't have an income. I don't even think the IRS knows where I am. I don't know where I am.
{Vicky} Damn you poor poor LOL.
{Sil} Nuh uh, I got beast crystals. I'm loaded.
{Sil} Anyways, Logan knows a ton of words, I'm sure he can give me advice on that.
{Vicky} Oh I see, so you don't think I'm smart enough to help?
{Sil} That's not what I mean. Logan probably has a thesaurus installed in his brain or whatever it is he does.
{Sil} Where is he anyways? Aren't you guys on your way back?
{Vicky} Oh, yeah uh… He's kinda busy with something.
{Sil} Busy? With what?
{Vicky} Installing some updates.
{Sil} Out here in space where the wifi is crap?!
Vicky looked over to Logan who wasn't particularly interested in the logs. He seemed to be a little unfocused from the events of yesterday. Vicky could understand that he wanted a break, but she was just as equally concerned for Sil.
"You think you could say something? Just for a sec. Please?"
Logan glanced over at her, giving a blank face.
"Come on, you know Sil needs us." Vicky voice spoke laced with concern.
Her beloved returned back to his previous position. Vicky sighed. She was just going to have to carry the conversation without raising suspicion.
{Sil} Hello?
{Sil} Don't tell me the wifi is acting up again.
{Sil} Come on, send.
{Sil} Hello.
{Vicky} Sorry, I was just looking for Logan.
{Vicky} You know how he is, always hard to find when ya need em.
{Sil} Is he okay?
{Logan} PoetryBeginnerLessons1.pdf
{Logan} I sent you a document on different types of poems.
{Sil} Oh Logan! Is your update done??
{Sil} Logan?
{Vicky} He had a small pause between updates! He's going to be out for a bit so don't worry.
{Sil} Right. He really should've had those done before you guys left.
{Vicky} It was on short notice lol, he was putting those off anyways.
{Sil} Right, anyways 1 week left?
{Vicky} It's actually 6 days at this point. See how much time passes?
{Sil} Doesn't seem to pass fast enough.
{Sil} I'm going to look over these poems, see if I can figure out this whole writing thing.
{Sil} I'll talk to you guys later.
{Vicky} Alright, take care! <3
"Logan," Vicky said while staring at her immobile husband. He sat still on the couch. No reaction.
"Logan!" she huffed, her tone louder than before. He still stayed in the same position, unmoving and unblinking.
"Logan!" Vicky yelled, getting up from her seat and grabbing him by the shoulders, vigorously shaking him back and forth.
"Please! Say something! Do— something!" she begged. Logan only managed to look at her in the eyes, causing her frustration to turn into anger. She screamed, bringing him close and violently shaking him before dropping him. Her anger disappeared with the sudden burst now leaving her feeling empty inside.
"I'm sorry…" she managed to say. The sudden feeling of nothingness being overwhelmed by the waves of regret. Even after all of these years, she was prone to fits of anger. Logan stayed immobile for a bit until he started to speak.
"I could be back home searching for them." He mumbled.
"There's nothing we can do about them. We need to focus on Sil." Vicky asserted.
