I arrived home to the quietness I needed. Romeo was probably out studying with his friends since their exams were starting soon, and Mom was still at work. I made my way to the kitchen, searching for something to eat, and smiled when I saw the fridge fully stocked with food and snacks. This was definitely my mom's doing—she always made sure we had enough to eat, especially when she knew she'd be home late or not at all.
It was funny how our older siblings always said Mom spoiled us, as if they hadn't been treated the same way when they were younger. That thought reminded me that it had been a while since I'd spoken to my big brother. My sister and I talked often on WhatsApp, but with her being in Moscow, it wasn't the right time to call her.
Pulling out my phone, I dialed John's number. He answered on the third ring.
John: "Hey, Lil Sissy! How are you?"
Lisa: "I'm good, bro! But where have you been? Did you get a new little sister and replace me?"
He chuckled. "I would never do that. You're my princess! I was just giving you time to focus on your exams. Speaking of which—how did they go?"
I grinned proudly. "I aced them."
"I knew you would! So, any plans for your short holiday?"
"Not sure yet," I said, crossing my fingers. "But if you send me some cash, I can plan something fun. Maybe a vacation?"
John laughed. "Ah, there she is! Tell you what I'll sort you out. But for now, I've got to run into a meeting. Love you, sis!"
"Love you too, Biggy. Bye!"
I grabbed my warm food, a drink, and some snacks before heading to my room. After taking a quick shower, I settled into bed, picked a movie on my laptop, and started eating.
I didn't even realize when I dozed off until my phone rang on my bedside table. Groggily, I reached for it and saw Angela's name flashing. When I answered, I realized they were on a conference call.
"Hey, girlies," I greeted, my voice still laced with sleep.
"Don't 'hey' us!" Angela scolded playfully. "We waited for your call!"
I yawned. "I was exhausted, and I'm sure you were too. I just needed a bit of rest."
"Enough about that," Anna jumped in. "Tell us—how was it?"
I smirked. "It was okay, I guess."
"You don't sound happy," Angela said, her voice laced with concern. "Wasn't it how you wanted it to be?"
I paused for dramatic effect. "No."
"What happened?" Angela pressed. "Lisa, did he hurt you?"
"Of course not, silly," I said with a laugh. "I'm just teasing you guys. It was beautiful. Magical. Painful at first, but then… amazing. He was so gentle, exploring my whole body like he was memorizing every inch of me. The way he looked at me…" I sighed dreamily. "I loved every second of it, and I don't regret it at all. And the morning round? Even better. Gosh, I love that man."
The girls squealed in excitement. "We're so happy for you, babe!"
"Now," Anna teased, "we need to send you some tips on how to keep your man on his toes. Sometimes, you gotta take control and drive him crazy."
I laughed. "Freaky much? But yes, I could use some pointers."
They filled me in on everything I had missed at the party before we finally ended the call. I went back to my movie, nibbling on my snacks, when my phone pinged with a message.
Pedro: Hey sweetheart, how are you?
Lisa: I'm okay, my love. How are you?
Pedro: I'm okay, babe. Just missing you… So, now that it's the holiday, any plans? Or can we plan a little getaway? Just me and you for four days.
My heart skipped a beat. A getaway with Pedro? Just the two of us? My lips curled into a soft smile as my mind began racing with excitement and a tiny bit of nervousness.
