No matter how powerful Demiurge were they still needed weapons to fully unleash the potential they had. Sure some could fight barehanded but those were the top tier not the average individual in my team or the majority.
So that was when N.E.X.U.S came in, a company with the sole purpose of crafting relics and weapons of all kind to aid Demiurges in battle. With material looted from the carcass of dead Cpytics they crafted some of the best weapons I had seen.
Durability, sharpness, piercing power and many more, they provided.and for the first time in a while I was visiting their office to purchase a new set of ammo for myself and some gear for my teammates.
"Commander Ren.. it's a pleasure to meet you again."
As I walked in through the transparent automatic glass door, I was welcomed into the sleek white interior of the building by a mature professional dressed woman. She stood slightly taller than me with the aid of her reel heel ,ofcourse. With the ends of her brown ponytail waving behind her as she approached, she let out a professionally stiff smile, placing her hands forth for a handshake.
"The pleasure is my, Aria."
She was called Aria by name and my relationship with her was her being my team's agent.
Their exist many teams each consisting of Demirguris of all kind but there existed only one of me. As the sole shackle around here, I was in charge of the various Demiurge of their island hence the epithet commander was gave to me. As for Aria she was the agent of the Ravagers, my second and current team.
She handle most of the paper works and various professional activities for us and now that I was about to purchase some weaponry she too would have to handle it.
Not wanting to leave her hanging, I return her handshake gesture with a smile before carefully pulling my arm back.
The last time I tried shaking someone's had, it left my permanently on their hit list so I wasn't particularly fun of this gesture but it was Aria, the best secretary in the world so I made an exception for her.
"I heard you got injured."
Leading me pass the receptionist and towards the hallway she inquired with a worried look.
"Ah...I guess you could say that."
Remembering my pathetic cries as they patched my wounds, I shiver unconscious clutching my abdomen which did not escape Aria's gaze.
"You sound so causal.... honestly I can't tell if you're growing numb to this work or you have a few screw loose."
"I prefers non of you assumption."
She seem to have found my response amusing as she brought her palms to her lips and chuckled lightly.
I swear I've been working with her for the pass four to five weeks and this was the first time I've seen her laugh or so much as smile. It was strange.
"Sorry."
Seeing my surprise gaze locked on her, her shoulder grew stiff as her face pale but quickly she regain her composure before continuously taking the lead till we arrived infornt of a large metallic door.
Brushing her hair back slightly, Aria leaned against the side of the door, where a biometric retina scanner was placed.
Bring her eyes closer to the scanner, it pulsed with a red light scanning her pupil's with it's camera lenses.

[Welcome Aria grimmer]
With a satisfied nod, Arisa stepped back as the large door splitted open to reveal a spacious warehouse full of weapons.
"We'll be experiencing some shortages in supplies since the constella incident...so I'm afraid you purchase wouldn't be of the highest quality."
"It would probably be a stake free mission so anything would do." I responded.
The Demiurge on this island along those of the other branches had faced a powerful Cpytic in the city of Constella, a month prior.
I wasn't a commander yet but even I still felt shiver remember the tremors that engulf the globe as they fought. At the end of it all many lives had been lost both humans and Demiurges but their scarfice had lead to the defeat of the S-class Cpytic Doomsday.
It was undoubtedly a victory for human kind but also a reminder that humanity and it's cohorts weren't as safe as we thought.
"You must be thinking about the battle back then."
Leading me through the various rows of shelves stuffed with metallic case, Aria remarked, her tone a soldem one.
"Well....."
"You're afraid of such an incident happening to you."
"..."
"You're afraid of the burden it will place down you one's another S class Cpytic appears."
"..."
"You're afraid you wouldn't be able to lead the dozens of Demiurge to fight."
Each of her words I couldn't retort or respond to become they were true. Many believe a month ago had they had an asset like me, we could shackle and reduce the strains of a Demiurge corruptions then, the causalities would have been less, then the strongest of the Demiurge would have been deployed much earlier, then so many wouldn't have died but that was them not me.
I lacked self esteem since I had nothing worth leaving for. As a commander, first and foremost my atmost priority was leading my squad to victory to buy humanity more time but could I achieve that.
I didn't know...I was just a teenager what did I know about commanding or leading others. I wasn't particularly smart nor a prodigy, the only thing worthy about little old me was my ability to control the Demiurges but what use was such an authority in a mediocre teen whom lacked no ambition.
"Honestly I find you situation pitiful."
Taking two metallic case from one of the shelves she bent her knee and placed them on the ground before opening them.
Retrieving the content of the case, two pairs of sleek black guns with a sci-fi style to them, she rose up and turn to me, her expression cold.
"....Aria!"
Feeling a sense of alarm, I gulped and stepped back but she was faster closing the gap with minimum movement and thrusting the gun into my face before pulling the trigger.
