I can't believe what happened at lunch.
Julianna looked guilty, while Sarina looked ready for war.
Now that it is, the entire school has made this a hot topic discussion. Everywhere I go, people's conversations are filled with, " oh my god, did you hear what happened at lunch?!", " girl, if I were her I would probably run away like a scared mouse".
I frown, as these words go to my ears, it hurts to know, that my best friend are being talked about behind their backs. It never used to be this way.
I'm making my way to 6th period, until I'm stopped by our friend group.
" Wait" Noah calls out. I stop, waiting for them to approach me. They sure don't look happy.
" What happened?" Reese continues, I swallow hard, not sure of what words to say, or how I should say them. I just bite the inside of my cheek, thinking how to answer.
" Everyone keeps talking about Sarina and Julia, we don't know what to believe Sabrina" Jordan says, her eyes narrowed.
Guess I have no choice but to spill it.
" Sarina confronted Julianna, in front of the entire cafeteria… it didn't go well" I mutter, my eyes looking down at my feet.
I hear some gasps, but I'm sure they are more disappointed then shocked.
" Wow, I never thought she'd actually do that in public" Reese says.
I finally lift my head up to face them, yup, faces of disappointment.
" Great, now our entire friend group is bad named" Noah says, fists clenched at his sides.
" And all over that stupid Roman dude? At what cost?!" He raises his voice.
" I'm just as disappointed as you are-", " then do something" he cuts me off. My eyes widen at his sudden words.
He then storms off, Reese going after him, she shoots me a glare that speaks, do something, before hurrying on to catching Noah.
Now me, Jordina, and Mark are the only ones left. I don't make eye contact, embarrassed of what just happened.
" It's okay" Jordina reassures, putting a hand over my shoulder. " You know how Noah is, he got a bit of a temper, don't take it to heart."
Her voice is so soft, and gentle, I could listen to it like a beautiful melody. She gives me a smile, before linking arms with Mark.
" Let's go baby?" She asked, eyes full of love, " of course, let's go" Mark answers back, and just like that both of them are gone.
I am left, standing alone in the middle of the hallway, until-
