Chapter 8 - 8. Never Give Up!

Just a quick note.

As you guys can see, I am not exactly translating but rewriting since you can see my own elements in the fic.

So I just wanted to add that Rin has a mother, an adopted one.

She was the reason he survived in the human world. I just thought about it, and it made more sense for an 6-year-old to survive.

But the main reason is ..... I just wanted to add a mommy character🦆

I know I should have added it earlier, but I just got the inspiration yesterday, and since we are early into the story, I decided to add it...

Sona had her eyes closed in nervousness as she bowed to Rin.

She was feeling nervous as there was no reaction.

Sona felt a lump form in her throat. She thought maybe he didn't want her apology and wouldn't be willing to forgive her.

A bitter smile formed on her face as she understood he wasn't in the wrong and it was only natural for him to be angry at her for trying to get him killed. 

Sona decided to apologize once again and leave as she didn't want him to feel uncomfortable in her presence.,

Sona felt a suffocating sensation in her chest when she thought of Rin hating her. Sona knew that she had somehow developed a crush on Rin, and everything would have been perfect since her supposed crush was her fiance.

But she ruined it with her actions.

'He must really hate me..' Sona thought bitterly in her mind as she slowly rose from her position.

But before she could complete her action, she felt a warm hand on her head, and her mind went blank.

Rin, who saw Sona apologizing so earnestly, felt a bit bad because he was just messing with her a bit, but she seemed to have been very affected by what had happened earlier.

She looked like a lost puppy, and from her reddened eyes, he could see that she had cried a lot.

Rin had mistakenly thought that Sona cried due to guilt but she was shedding tears due to pleasure.

But Rin didn't know about this, which made him feel even more pity for the girl.

It was a misunderstanding that favoured Sona.

Seeing the vulnerable girl, Rin couldn't help but remember how he dealt with his little sister when she was sad.

Rin's body moved instinctively as he patted Sona's head, making the latter raise her head in surprise. He could see her slightly misty eyes, which made him feel guilty.

Maybe the prank was a bit too much? 

Rin smiled gently at Sona, making her blush as she hastily lowered her head while getting up, but she didn't shake off Rin's hand as she enjoyed his head pats.

It felt so warm...

Even if she couldn't get back what she lost maybe it would be possible to start something fresh...

"Do you still want to cancel the engagement ~?" Rias asked teasingly while concealing her true intentions.

Deep down, she wanted Sona to cancel the engagement with Rin.

Yes, she understood it was hideous of her to feel this way, and that was why she felt conflicted.

Rias knew even if Rin and Sona broke off the engagement, it wouldn't change her situation, but she was hopeful that maybe she could get rid of her engagement... 

Then maybe...

"I...." Sona hesitated as she lowered her head in contemplation.

"I don't want to ..... Rias ... I think I like him..." Sona confessed with a slight blush, making Rias, sitting across from her, stiffen.

"I-Is that so~, Good for you~, " Rias said in a cheerful tone as she tried to mask her emotions. 

Although her words and expression appeared forced, luckily, Sona didn't notice as she was too engrossed in her thoughts. 

"R-Rias, The Sitri family has a nice property in Kuoh town. Give this to him on my behalf as an apology." Sona quickly summoned a key and some paperwork and handed them over to Rias before teleporting away.

Not letting the redhead say anything.

Rias smiled wryly as she thought about the shy Sona.

"I am sorry, Sona ~ But I won't give up, " Rias said to herself with a smile as she placed a hand on her chest to feel her beating heart.

Since Sona was her best friend then, wasn't it only natural that they shared? 

Because, after all, sharing is caring ~

Sona teleported into the student council, and she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw only her Queen Tsubaki present.

"Tsubaki, I am going to take a bath, " Sona said curtly as she moved towards the bathroom attached to the room, but Tsubaki's words nearly made Sona fluster.

"President, do you need me to wash your clothes? " Tsubaki asked seriously as she felt it would be quicker this way since they were at school.

"No... I'll do it myself," Sona said with a blush that Tsubaki couldn't see because she had her back turned toward her.

Her panties were drenched and her clothes still retained a bit of scent of her activities.

Sona would be embarrassed if Tsubaki or anyone else found out.

She didn't want to be seen as a pervert.

And right now, after getting comforted by Rin, she was in the mood.

Regrettably she might have to spend some time in the bathroom.....
